According to the forecast here, it's supposed to get nice starting Thurs/Fri and be sunny for the sail away!

I'm water logged! We were supposed to do Discovery Cove on Saturday, and it was raining kitties and puppies, so we rescheduled it for Friday when it's supposed to be sunny and went to Busch Gardens Tampa where it was partly cloudy so that worked out well!

I wondered how you guys were doing! The weather is definitely not condusive to a WDW trip! Glad you all are managing the best you can.

Why oh why am I always last minute...it's enough to make me

Anyone else spend their first day of vacation completely exhaused? That's me

HOWEVER, there's no place I'd rather be exhaused than sitting on a deck chair, watching the kids in the pool, and sippin' on the drink of the day!

How's everyone else holding up??

Sounds like me!
I'm spending the day cleaning the house and doing load after load of laundry.

Thankfully, Alex is working until Thursday afternoon, so that is giving me time to pack all my clothes and get all our stuff organized. (Also meaning that he won't see all the luggage I have until it's already packed up and ready to go.) However, that also means DH will wait until Thursday night to pack his bags.
I will be very relieved when I can relax on a deck chair and not worry about anything. Let's just hope we have sunny skies the whole trip!

Well put! I am embarrassed to say that I have spent the week before nearly every vacation getting 2-3 hours of sleep every night and then absolutely no sleep the night before trying to finish the 1,000 things I left because they will only take a minute. I nearly always spend the entire first day of vacation asleep - literally. PATHETIC!!!

As an example, I was just putting on some final touches to the pirate outfits last night before going to bed. 30 minutes was my mental estimate. SIX HOURS later, I dragged myself upstairs.

Oh well, I am probably too old to change now.

We swam with Manatees in the rain this morning, even saw a baby nursing (awwwww) and then went to Sea World in the afternoon where it rained off and on, and we got lucky and were in the dolphin show and Shamu show while it rained! Good start to the vacation!

OMG! We were at Magic Kingdom yesterday and the rain would start and stop THE WHOLE TIME! Today is sunny and we were at AK. But too many people for us (I guess cuz Columbus Day?) so we went back to BW. MNSSHP tonight!!!

We must be long lost twins! I got 2 hours of sleep last night...and I don't even know why! When it comes to getting ready for a trip, I think some kind of ADHD kicks in...it's weird. DH can't stand it, but my lack of sleep sure does make a fun trip for the family!

But at least we'll be napping in the fresh sea air

I didnt want to tell you that it started Fri night and hadnt let up until sometime this morning What happened to the sun - shine state? But you should be just fine the rest of this week ! HAVE FUN

We've been really lucky so far at avoiding the weather, yesterday was great, sunny all day, and today is Typhoon Lagoon and MNSSHP tonight!

Ah, I had a fairly similar experience. I went to pick up my suitcase from my brother's house (he had borrowed it awhile ago) and when I went to put it in Alex's trunk, it wouldn't fit!
Alex has a little 2 door car, and no matter how much I pushed and manuevered that bag, it wouldn't fit! And it was too bulky to try and get it into the backseat, so I had to get a new (smaller) case yesterday.

Does anyone know if i can bring my 18 month old into the oceaneer club, if stay in there with her? my first cruise as a mommy so i need mommy and daddy advice. There are somethings there like story time with Belle that i know she would enjoy.

I have been doing the same. The last time I checked, it looked like the worst chance of rain was on our Cozumel day, but even that was only 60%. Hopefully, we'll luck out and not catch too much rain!

We're almost done packing...I am sooooo nervous that I am forgetting something or that something will go wrong! I can't wait till that moment when the wheels go up and there is no point in worrying any more.

Definitely looks like our embarkation day weather will be Florida's best!

I have finally started packing. WOW!! I know I am bringing way too many clothes for the kids and me but I just can't seem to leave anything behind. I am crazy stressed and relieved that I have started all at the same time. I soooooo hope that we have nice weather.

Getting so excited to leave and then to meet everyone and to see a cruise ship for the first time and to finally be on board and hopefully stop freaking out. AAAAAAYYYYYYYY

Whooo, just finished packing! I thought it would take me longer, but it was actually pretty easy and stress-free. I've probably taken way too many clothes, though.

Now, I'm just sitting around, impatiently waiting for Alex to get off work so he can pack his bags and we can leave tomorrow morning.
