Logan1: Normally, I don't like to volunteer my opinion (yeah, right!) BUT since you asked, here goes: You mentioned that your son was 9 years old....at that age, I can't imagine sports taking priority over a Disney family vacation. If he were in high school and played a varsity sport, he would then have an obligation to the team to attend all games and I would also be reluctant to schedule a vacation during the season. But at 9 years of age, sports should be fun and not another obligation. Several years from now I seriously doubt he will remember that he missed practice or a game, but I'm sure he will remember the wonderful times he had with his family onboard the Disney cruise.
Of course, it's entirely up to you but that's JMHO.
Fiona: So sorry to hear about the death of your friend. I just lost one of the ladies in my book club, also to cancer. Her funeral was the day before we left for Alaska. And yes, we got our luggage yesterday, thanks for asking. The first leg of our flight got in only 20 minutes before the second one took off. Since it was just a few gates down, we were able to get on, but the luggage never made it. Since our first flight was a huge wide-body, I knew they'd never get it unloaded on time. It actually was a blessing in disguise because we didn't have to deal with our heavy bags on the shuttle to the parking lot and I got them delivered right to my home the following day. If they're going to lose your luggage, it's always better to have it happen on the return trip since at that point it's nothing more than laundry.
Eric: Thanks for the photos....Vienna looks awesome!

Oct '06 my DD will be 16
and DS will be 9.

! The last few weeks have been so hectic and all of us sisters really need this trip. One sister just found out that she's expecting her second child
, however her DH's deployment has been moved up from Oct. to next week while she's gone. (She still plans on sailing). Other sister's grandmother in law, with whom she was extremely close, passed away suddenly this past week. Funeral was a few days ago. Also, glad Ophelia is heading out to sea after today. Didn't want flights affected on Saturday from Philly.
If we get the internet package, I'll post from the trip. Getting ready for the ressie rush. Found out that the restaurants repeat on the 2nd and 3rd night instead of 3rd and 4th night. I have Palo booked for the 4th night, so I might change that. I also want to make an addition spa appt.
at home so he's going to see about going back to work with some restrictions. I'm just worried that he'll try and do too much too soon and mess things up inside. The outside looks healed but the inside takes a lot longer.
Surgery??...What surgery?
There must be an easier way to make a living.
