well, last night was an exciting night I DON'T want to ever repeat! At 7pm last night, Steve was at work...as most of you know, he is a retail Pharmacists.....one of the girls, Carol, was sitting on a stool, he had his back to the side entrance to the pharmacy and another girl, Theresa, was on the phone. A guy walked out of the bathroom and right into the pharmacy. He had his shirt over his nose so you could only see his eyes and a ball cap on. He came in and put a gun to Carol's back. Threw a bag at Steve and told him he wanted all the Oxycotin and the cash. Steve went to fill the bag up and he followed him to make sure it was what he wanted. He then turned to Theresa and told her to open the cash drawer. He got away with 2200 pills...street value $22,000 and about $310 cash. Everyone is OKAY, although VERY shook up. To top it all off, when Steve came home at 815, I was out with the dog. He is never home before 9, and I had no clue any of this had happened! So, he comes in and asked Connor, Where's your Mom? He said, she's out walking the dog. So he gets back in the truck to find me. I was in the back yard! I came in and put the dog in the crate and said, Let's go get Alex...a neighbor boy that was going to spend the night. I get over there and Steve shows BACK up at home and now the truck is gone and the dog is in the crate! So he gets BACK in his truck to find me. Asked a few neighbors if they had seen me drive out...no. He comes back home and one of the neighbors comes and finds me. In the meantime, the boys are telling me that Daddy was home! I said, NO, the store doesn't close for 45 mins, are you SURE it was your Dad? If not, WHO was in my home!? Then when I got to Alex's, his Mom said, Well, I thought I saw Steve's truck come through, and his truck is unmistakable. It was SO frustrating! FINALLY he calls on my cell phone and I told him to stay at the house, I am on my way! By now I knew what had happened. I felt so bad that I wasn't there when he needed me! Although, I was never more then a few feet away! I was pretty happy when he told me years ago, that he was going to go back to school and become a pharmacist. That meant I wasn't going to be the wife of a policeman. My nerves wouldn't be so bad! Now I still have to worry, in what I thought, would be a safer profession!
