Eric - yes I would most certainly be expatriated for excessive generosity! Of course that may then give me the push to leave Aberdeen.
And I too remember being so excited when I read on the boards that a Diser had won a free cruise!
And yes C&C's is in Cozumel.
Wendy

Wendy,
you could go to Stuttgart: The rest of us Germans always says that the people of Swabia are Scots, who were expatriated because of being too stingy :rotfl: Example:
While hiking in the Alps two Swabians fall into a crevasse. After some time a rescue party finds them and one of the rangers shouts down into the crevasse 'HELLOOOOO, this is the Red Cross!!!' Which is immediately answered by the two Swabians with 'We don't give anything!' :teeth:

Rosemary,
C&C is very conveniently located directly at the pier - and they even have strechers on wheels to get you to the ship :rotfl:

Does that mean that Nancy got an "A-" in the course?

I've seen one of the twins many times in the Kohl's pamphlets.

Wendy: John, Jenni and I are having dinner with Shelley, Jay, Courtney and Kris tonight.

Let's put it this way, everything that I helped him with got a worse grade than when he did it without my assistance. But that didn't seem to deter him from keep getting me involved. I give myself a B+.

I read that D&D are doing more photography than modeling these days, but now that I know who they are I will have to look for them in ads.

DS#1 is in the process of moving back in and DS#2 is working on moving out. We are going shopping later today. I already made a Wal Mart run for things.

Have a good day everyone.

Nancy

Eric--- I saw on TV that the Pope is in Germany for World Youth Day. His first trip back to the homeland since he became Pope.

Nancy

Eric - even I am not that bad!!
Nancy - the Pope's visit seems to be going across very well.

Yabbahdubbahdooh,
I just won an auction on Ebay:
I bought a Citizen Diver's Watch with an MSRP of €299 for €134.57 incl P&P. From an official dealer with two years' full warranty. It has a small scratch on the glass, but who cares?

That's a great attitude, Michele ;)

Wendy,
I also am very reluctant to go onto ebay, but sometimes it's fun - as long as you don't exceed your limits. I usually only give one bid for an item, within the last five seconds of the auction. This way I can't raise my bid if I don't get it.

well, last night was an exciting night I DON'T want to ever repeat! At 7pm last night, Steve was at work...as most of you know, he is a retail Pharmacists.....one of the girls, Carol, was sitting on a stool, he had his back to the side entrance to the pharmacy and another girl, Theresa, was on the phone. A guy walked out of the bathroom and right into the pharmacy. He had his shirt over his nose so you could only see his eyes and a ball cap on. He came in and put a gun to Carol's back. Threw a bag at Steve and told him he wanted all the Oxycotin and the cash. Steve went to fill the bag up and he followed him to make sure it was what he wanted. He then turned to Theresa and told her to open the cash drawer. He got away with 2200 pills...street value $22,000 and about $310 cash. Everyone is OKAY, although VERY shook up. To top it all off, when Steve came home at 815, I was out with the dog. He is never home before 9, and I had no clue any of this had happened! So, he comes in and asked Connor, Where's your Mom? He said, she's out walking the dog. So he gets back in the truck to find me. I was in the back yard! I came in and put the dog in the crate and said, Let's go get Alex...a neighbor boy that was going to spend the night. I get over there and Steve shows BACK up at home and now the truck is gone and the dog is in the crate! So he gets BACK in his truck to find me. Asked a few neighbors if they had seen me drive out...no. He comes back home and one of the neighbors comes and finds me. In the meantime, the boys are telling me that Daddy was home! I said, NO, the store doesn't close for 45 mins, are you SURE it was your Dad? If not, WHO was in my home!? Then when I got to Alex's, his Mom said, Well, I thought I saw Steve's truck come through, and his truck is unmistakable. It was SO frustrating! FINALLY he calls on my cell phone and I told him to stay at the house, I am on my way! By now I knew what had happened. I felt so bad that I wasn't there when he needed me! Although, I was never more then a few feet away! I was pretty happy when he told me years ago, that he was going to go back to school and become a pharmacist. That meant I wasn't going to be the wife of a policeman. My nerves wouldn't be so bad! Now I still have to worry, in what I thought, would be a safer profession!

:grouphug: for Michelle & Steve,
good that nobody got hurt. I assume that was a typo and you meant to say OxyContin, not Oxycotin?
I hope the damage is covered by some kind of insurance and I hope even more that the police get the perp. With 2,200 of those pills he can cause a lot of grief.
But I guess Steve and his coworkers will have nightmares for some time and nobody can compensate them for it :sad1:

Eric, Yes, that was a typo, OxyContin is what it was. Also, we didn't know until this morning, the street value is $60,000. OUCH. I really do hope they get the guy. They had the K-9 unit out and was tracking him, but lost the scent, which means he either got in a car or had someone waiting. Carol showed up to work this morning...with cake...so she is doing okay!

$60,000 :earseek:
Does Steve have video-surveillance in the pharmacy?

They have one camera and it was pointed at something else, BUT they didn't even turn it on yesterday! I told Steve that this just proves that it can happen in ANY community! None are immune to it! I would have NEVER DREAMED that an armed robbery would occur in this community! I was wrong! It's really sort of scary.

I'm SO sorry! I can't imagine the fear that your husband and his co workers endured. Thank God they are ok. I'll be praying they get the man who did it before he does it somewhere else.

Michele--- So sorry to hear about what happened at your husband's store. What a scarey situation, but thanks heavens no one is hurt. Even though it was an emotionally trying time, your story about your husband is funny sort of like an I love Lucy episode. To bad it had to occur during such a stressfule time for your husband.

Got my new furniture today. The family room furniture that was to replace my damaged set. Of course, it is much larger than it looked in the showroom, but we moved some things around and it is quite cozy down there now. Norm and I will be fighting over the chair and half.

Off to the grocery store. One of my least favorite things to do.

Nancy

Nancy,
you can make a deal: Give Norm the chair in exchange for his approval to come to NYC ;)

thanks everyone! :grouphug: I stopped in the store today and they all seem in good spirits! Steve and I joke about our antics...sort of a cat and mouse game! We just couldn't believe that we kept missing each other! I'll have to tell him the I Love Lucy theory! That is just what it was! I wonder if any of my neighbors were sitting out on the porch watching us running back and forth! Now, THAT would have been funny to see!

I just saw the horrible havoc caused by those 25 tornadoes in Wisconsin :scared1: I hope our fellow cruisers were not affected by those storms: Brenda & Matt (JCButterfly), Tracey and her family (Walzak4), and our defectors from Wisconsin ;) Tracy & Bill (Winotracy)

Folks, please report back to us and tell us that you're OK
