As they're not covering the US-market right now, this is the only English web-appearance. This company sold 'Le Car' in the US in the 80ies, a tiny little city-car. The only disadvantage of this site: The steering wheel is on teh wrong side of the car
The car we want is the 2.0 litre with 135hp and six-speed manual tranny. Features are:
-Gas discharge headlights (Those blueish white lamps-Cooool )
-Handsfree Entry & Drive. No key!! You simply have a transponder-card in your pocket which automatically unlocks the doors/trunk when you're close to the car. When you're in the car you simply push the Start/Stop-button to fire up the engine, the card stays in your pocket.
-4x40 watts sound system with 6 CD-changer and twin RDS-tuner (RDS=RadioDataSystem, sending you infos like song-titles, traffic-info, sport-results, etc)
-Fully automatic a/c with sun-position sensor
-Heated Leather seats
-Automatic headlights
-Rainsensing wipers
-Rearview mirror dims automatically when exposed to bright light
-17''-alloys
-Windblocker
-Fully automatic retractable glass roof, disappears into trunk in 22 seconds, fitted with a shade
-6 airbags
-ABS, ESP, Understeer-prevention-system, traction-control
-Cruisecontrol and speed-limiter
-Pop-up rollover hoops
-Glove-compartment is hooked up to the power-locks and to the a/c.
It's a four-seater, but legroom in the back is a bit restricted. The trunk is gigantic: about 17 cubicfeet with the top up, about 7.5 with the top down.
0-60 is about 9.5seconds, topspeed is 135mph, mileage about 27mpg. It's also available as a Diesel, but as the Disel-engine is an extra €2400, it doesn't pay off for us. Although it's remarkably quiet and has impressive torque: 220lbft at about 1800rpm.
The best is the glass-roof: Even when you have to drive with the top up, you're kind of sitting in the open.

Are you referring to the Mexicalifragilisticexpialidocious Night, but didn't dare to write it?

The preselling started the day, but didn't cause the thread to be closed. The thread was closed due to inappropriate comments by one poster to a moderator. We are hoping they reconsider the decision and reopen the thread, but we'll see what happens.

Not sure if they'll let us. In addition to the inappropriate remark, the mods weren't fair with us and kept changing posting rules. Instead of closing the thread, they should have just banned the offending poster (s) instead of punishing all of us.

I'm certain you won't let this ruin the fun of your upcoming 14-day cruise. You've already made contact with people and can keep in touch via PM's and emails. Maybe give it a week or so and a new thread can then be started. Still stinks and somehow just doesn't seem right...or fair even.

Piglet...your are right, that is not fair to the rest of you! The offending posters should have been banned and the rest of you could have continued to enjoy these boards. But let's not get into too big of discussion about that, they might want to close this thread too!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! We had our yard sale on Saturday! I sold just under $400 worth of junk...and still took a truck load to the GoodWill and kept 2 big boxes of stuff worthy of another try. The car club came over that night and we worked on the trucks a bit, showed off our new one and then had dinner out. Yesterday, we drove up to see Steve's parents and had dinner there. It's about a 2 hour drive to get there, and we had a late start since the boys let us sleep in a bit. But all in all, it was a nice day.

Now it's back to school and the house is a wreck and the yard needs mowed...again. I guess I will have my work cut out for me today!

A DISers name was mentioned as the one who is preselling pins from the Westbound cruise. Some of the eastbounders are unhappy that Disney is only releasing pins on the Westbound cruise (a rumor, not sure if it is true). They were upset that someone was preselling when we may not even get an opportunity to buy direct. There wasn't any bashing of another DISer, but a name was mentioned in context with basically bashing Disney and the mods removed the post. Can I come with you guys?

we still have about seven weeks to Vienna, more than sufficient time to get good weather again. Right now it's cold with temps in the 40ies/50ies and constant rain.
When I took my convertible to the shop this morning to have that crash-damage fixed they had a nice surprise for me: The same car as a rental. OK, it has the samller engine with only 109hp, but at least it is a convertible.

Was not a good weekend for us. My DS came home on Friday for the weekend and promptly downloaded a virus onto the home computer which acts as a server for the home network. Jim is still trying to fix it today. Totally frustrating.

Then Sat night get the call "Mom I've been in an accident". I've discovered that when woken up (or even not) I don't react well to this situation. Anyway he got hit in an intersection by a Mercedes (company car no less). Luckily he wasn't hurt and only the bumper on the car is hurt but the police estimated the damage at $1200 so we'll see. Now have to call the insurance company and see about that as well.
