Ave good thing that I am not Catholic. Love my pork, although we have eat so much chicken lately that I check in the chair when I get up for eggs.

Allen,
as we're going to the Carribean, where it's always warm, I don't think a warm-up is required - But what about a clean-up? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
I'll delete you from The List with the next issue  But you may feel free to use our lay-out for your new list.
Thanks Eric, but I refuse to clean on vacation! :earboy2:

Allan - BIG RED Bummer ... but I like your thinking "The Warm Up Act" .... maybe we can just meet in the lobby and you can pass off the keys to the ship!
It's a deal Cathy. If we all wind up at the Radisson again, maybe we will be back to the hotel before you guys leave to go to the ship. I'm going for the free parking!

Allen -- Sorry that you have had to change your cruise plans. We will miss you and hope that a scheduling miracle will happen. If not, I'm sure that you will have a great time on the 10/7 cruise, and it will be wonderful to have someone warm the ship up for us.
Thanks Jean, we're praying for that scheduling miracle.

Allen, So sorry you will not be cruising with you and your family. There is always 2008.
Avé, you're right down the road from my favorite city on the planet, Seaside! We'll get back down there before 2008 I hope!! :teeth:

OK Folks,
CruzLetter it is, but to say it with Number Five 'Input, I need input!!'

Eric how about a section in the newsletter highlighting a different state or city of our cruisers. You could tell everyone about Frankfort and Germany one month and how this group came to be formed for the newest cruisers.

A breakdown of occupations and so forth along with a brief highlight of the previous cruises. Mike

Okay, Allen

Technical question. How did you do multiple quotes within the same reply? :confused3

Marianne

Avé--Well, it's 1:00 pm on Ash Wednesday--how's your giving up of pork going so far?

As I am a vegetarian all the time, I have to find other sacrifices to make for Lent. This year it's coffee--I started a week early. I'm not a huge coffee drinker (one per day at work), but it's enough to notice when I don't have it.

Things are going smoothly here for right now. I just take it all one day at a time. I just can't wait for some serious sunshine--when the sun comes out, it lasts about 10 minutes & then it's overcast again.

Although Saturday was an absolutely perfect mid-winter day. Sunny, temps in mid-50's. I walked in the woods of a local park with a friend. He's into forestry & woodworking, so he made it very interesting. He pointed out things I never would have noticed before.

I love the idea of the newsletter. Thanks to everyone willing to work on it. I'd love to volunteer somehow, but I don't think I can add another anything to my plate right now.

Eric--Heidi was asking me questions about the Autobahn the other day. I told her to e-mail you--you're the expert. Did you ever hear from her?

I went to a great SuperBowl party on Sunday--my Church Choir got together instead of for Christmas--since December gets so crazy anyway. We had a great time & wonderful food (we made it an Italian theme--yum!).

Mike,
that was exactly my intention as mentioned in my first post concerning the newsletter. How about you starting with an article proving that 'T' doesn't stand for Texas, but for Tennessee. Apart from Jack Daniels and the Grand Ole Opry I know zip about your homestate - Unfortunately.
And I will do something about FrankfUrt (Not to be mistaken for Kentucky's capital ;) ) and Hesse (My state) - and of course about Schleswig-Holstein (Anja's homestate).
Including Cruisetoberfest's history is a great idea!!!

But I see myself only responsible for compiling all the articles , pictures, or whatever Y'All send.

We got about 20 months to go til we cruise, which means that we got room for 20 cities/states/countries to be presented to all of us.

Marianne,
no mail from Heidi - so far.
I just sent a mail from the Cruisetoberfest-account to everyone providing all of you with my two 'best' adresses for quick responses. I don't want to post them on the thread as the are for friends only. Unfortunately the most recent version of The List doesn't show my correct adress. When the last update was due I thought I would have to cancel my AOL, but fortunately they made me such a good offer that I couldn't resist and so I kept it.
Tell Heidi not to be shy and mail me. I already did help Regina (RellingTwin's DD) with a schoolproject and it was fun- Although now she has to wash our rental car next year :teeth: :rotfl2:

Allen, sorry to hear you may not be able to join us :guilty: Perhaps things will change before 10/06.
Eric, I have sent my family "bio" for the newsletter. I also included what each of us likes most about DCL.
Marianne..I can confirm Eric's help for Regina's school project. She got an A on it. Her class did a "Christmas around the world" project. She had to pick a country and discribe the different customs the people in that country have. It was a very interesting project. Regina was given extra credit because she was able to show she e-mailed someone in Germany!

The Daytona 500 is only 10 days away!! :cool1:

(giving up chocolate for Lent :mickeybar :sad2: )

Marianne

For the first one, just click the quote button as usual. The rest of the quote commands have to be manually typed in. You then copy from the post you wish to quote and paste to your reply box within the quote commands. Be careful, one wrong click and you will have to start all over............ask me how I know that. :teeth:
It sounds complicated but its not. Next time you reply with a quote, look at the quote commands in your reply box and you will see what I am talking about.

This guy is way to cool!!

Hi guys Kim here...

Mom does have a listing of the special dates ( that have been sent to her). I will put them into a spread sheet and forward to eric to be included in the newsletter.

We have 1 more week to get through and hopefully everything will be behind us.. Surgery is on 2/17 at a new hospital...

Bye, Kim

Kim,
give Bette our best - We'll have our fingers crossed for her.

I caught a bad cold and had to stay home today, but at least I have a chance to work off my DVD-backlog.

Marianne Do u know how to have split screens in front of you at the same time?? I can be reading one and typing reply on the other ???

Well here goes I use IE most times Go to favorites open link for this thread and then, do it again so you have 2 opened... then on the Taskbar below
in an empty spot right click you will see options come up... click
Tile windows Vertically it will the put the 2 opened screens side by side..

then you can hit quote on one page. copy and paste to the other and you can do this as much as u like.. giving you 3 quotes in this post as example Good Luck.. Peter No typing Required..method

Kim - Give Bette our love and tell her we're thinking about her.

Lenny, Reneé & Haley

Bette:

Best of luck on the impending surgery...We will both be thinking of you...

Arlene

Kim ... Let Bette know we were thinking of her and good luck on the 27th. Is it still a lap procedure? No matter what surgery she has I pray
golden_angel.gif

she is OK and that your biggest worry is chasing her around after to make sure she does what the doctor orders ... as I recall, this is the parasailing lady!

Before I get busy and forget ... let me be the first to wish my cruise family of friends

Well I know it would happen sooner or later ... I have been sneezing and coughing my brains out ...

Geez I hate winter. Art has been known to bring home some of the germs from the rug-rats at school and looks like it happened again.

So I'm not alone with my cold :guilty:
I just decided to stay home tomorrow again. So I can be in topshape again on Monday - hopefully

No colds here but there is snow on the ground and had to remove ice and snow from my car this morning. Now of course it's melting wouldn't you figure. Still fairly cold though -- wish I was back in WDW this week!

Btw since I've caught up on the thread - we stayed at Pop Century. It was fine for just the two of us and at a rate of $49/night with the AP couldn't be beat. Jim is quite content to stay value. I like CBR the best but probably because that's the first place I ever stayed onsite.

Bette - you'll be fine next week I hope - no repeat of last time that's for sure. Check your email btw.

Back to work although it's really slow at the moment.
