Wow, I acutally got one.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Had a nice day both sons were home so we went out to dinner.

We still are undecided on what we are doing vacation wise for this year. Everyone at works keeps asking when my next WDW or cruise is. People can't believe I don't have something scheduled.

Jeanne-- We are looking at doing Alaska in either 2006 or 2007. Hopefully by then my sons will be finished with college. I believe that MaryJo used her DVC points to do the Alaska cruise. Are you just doing the cruise or are you going to do some of the land portion before or after the cruise?

Dave and Ellen-- Glad you had a great time at WDW over Christmas. Are yu empty nesters again?

Fionna-- Hope you are feeling better. I didn't realize that you were taking a trip to WDW in the near future. Where are you staying at?

Rosemary--- I couldn't get on the boards over the weekend. Server was always busy.

WDWCrazzyCunninghams--- So where you in Cleveland for all the snow?

Where is MaryJo and Peter? Haven't posted for awhile.

Nancy

Testing once again to see if I can post to this thread. I keep getting a message that it is an "invalid thread". I don't think so.

Wow -- I actually got in this time -- can hardly believe it.

Nancy -- I have been trying to wish you a happy birthday for a couple of days which is why this is a belated wish -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Fiona -- Hope you are feeling better soon and definitely before you leave for Florida.

Weather is staying warm here -- supposed to be in the 70's again today and tomorrow, but the cold comes back on Thursday, I think.

Hi Everyone:

Just a quick hello to try to start getting email notifications of posts.

Where are Peter and Jen???

Arlene

padisneyfan...when we got to Cleveland, there was snow on the ground, but the temps had risen into the 40's. By the time we left, there had been a night of rain and most of the snow was gone. The boys didn't even get to play in it this time! Here in Charleston, WV, we really don't get too much snow. People around here think they do, but they have never lived in Cleveland! Usually, it's barely enough snow to play in. We bought the boys new winter coats, and they still have the tags on them! Saturday we are supposed to have a high of 27, but I don't think we will even go anywhere, so they may still not get to use them!

We reached 15°C/59°F as predicted and the forecast says the same until Wednesday. In Munich the Biergartens (Beergardens: restaurants located in public parks serving beer in large steins) already opened. :drinking1
We drove with the top down today and expect to do the same tomorrow :cool1:

Right here Just Been Busy as all, As I have Been Commuting To foxswoods
each day for Work. 125 miles each way... it is better than collecting like I often do in the month of January. But we are going to miss Florida
if u dont remember we went in Jan. And Feb last year..

and with airfares at about $110.00 round trip we are having a hard time with this.. LOL WE NEED OUR FIX.. just to be able to stroll thru Epcot with music playying after the fireworks.. love that music is just not the same from the Stereo .. Also having the 2 puppies it is not as easy to just pack up and Go. when Shelby was alive we could just drop her at her grandparents and say see ya, but these 2 dont know there grandparents dog and he is a mean one .. at least him and Shelby had been brought up together..

peace out Peter

Peter - $110 roundtrip? What a deal! The best we can get from Charlotte right now is $248 r/t and since US Air has pretty much of a monopoly in Charlotte and they may be going out of business soon, we are planning to drive to WDW when we go in April unless we get some other airlines in here before then with some great prices.

Hey everyone! I haven't been getting email notifications for the past day or so. Just happened to check to see if there were any new posts.

Today was a somewhat depressing day. Chris and I went to the funeral of one of the deans from our college. He was there during our years and I'm also good friends (and sorority sisters) with one of his daughters. She's older than I am, but she was our alumni sorority advisor while I was in college. We've become friends over the years. Her father was a graduate and a 38-year employee of the college as the Dean of Men. Chris remembers getting in trouble his senior year by the dean. Like Chris said, it's an end of an era and it was a tough loss for the college. It definitely made me very sad.

But, tomorrow is another day and I still have to take my Christmas decorations down (yes, I still haven't gotten to it yet).

Well, I'm going to read some more email and watch CSI: Miami in 1/2 hour.

Goodnight!!

Sorry to hear about your loss Amy.

Hope that everyone is doing well and happy birthday to all those that I have missed.

Mike

Hey everyone. Just a quick pop in to say HI

I have been so busy on the Panama Canal thread and the weight loss threads and other stuff, that I don't have a chance to come here and get to know all of you. At least I have time!

Yeah! The boards seem to be back up now.

And darn it, I still haven't gotten those darn Christmas decorations down yet. I'm going to work on it tomorrow.

Hi guys!

Just wanted to do a quick post from St Thomas! The weather here today is gorgeous. The fireworks last night was outstanding and well worth the late night for them! We did have a medical emergency onboard and returned back to St Maarten-but we still arrived in St Thomas on time. We are tendering in-but it puts you right in the middle of downtown.

Not really anything else new on the ship.

We post more when we return home!

Dan and Scott

P.S. It is about 85 and sunny here today! :smooth:

Amy - don't feel bad about the Christmas decorations. Ours are down but not put away yet! They are all sitting in the family room waiting for us to clean up the laundry room so that we can get to the crawl space to actually put them away. My DS used the laundry room as a dumping ground over Christmas and we can't get near anything!

Dan and Scott - would definately change weather with you -- spent 1/2 hour scrapping ice off my car this morning.

Back to work. Still coughing but feeling a bit better. Jim figures he'll get sick just before we leave.

Fiona

Winter will come back tomorrow over here :guilty: But at least we don't have to scrape ice off our windows - Thanks to our remotecontrolled heater :cool1:

Today we got mail from our new telephone- and internet-provider: Our new acount will become active on 01/21/05, which means that we'll change our email-adresses then as AOL doesn't cooperate with the new company - Bad luck for AOL, but we save about €45 per month ($60) pirate:
I'll post the new adress as soon as I have set up all the hardware (Which has yet to be delivered), but not before 01/21 - Keep your fingers crossed that the installation works as planned: I have to install a new ISDN-telephone-switchboard, a new DSL-modem, and -a first time for me- wireless network. I'm gonna play it save and will start with my new notebook first and keep the desktop-PC as a back-up- As soon as everthing is running I'm going to 'scrub' the old PC, format the hard-disk and build it uo again as good as new -Hopefully :badpc:

Go Ahead Rub IT In..

30 and Snow have a great trip..

Amy, Sorry for your loss. Sounds like a loss for a great many people. Good teachers are hard to find.
Fiona, glad you're feeling better.
Denine, Glad to hear from you! Don't blame you, wish I was going on the 10 day cruise. Wish I was cruiseing Right Now! Do you hear me Dan?

Spent a few hours looking for good deals into Washington DC this Spring/Summer. Looking at the week of June 11-18. right at $1000 for the four of us, round trip.

Van, Have you dug out yet?

Gosh, I'm so tired. I've got to go to bed.

Winter is back: We had lots of fender-benders today due to ice. Lots of jerks on the streets with the wrong tyres.

It has been unseasonably warm here in WV!! All week has been nice, but yesterday was 73 and today the same! Tonight the cold air returns and we will only be in the 30s for the weekend! It will be a shock to our systems! As usual, with that big of difference, I will have to make sure there is nothing outside that can get wind damaged. Being as it is winter, about the only thing I have is our flag on the house. Stay warm, dry and safe everyone!
