Hey, Mary Jo, I just remembered.........didn't I used to refer to you as SAINT Mary Jo? That said, maybe you could pull some weight on my behalf.
One of my daughters will be home this weekend. I haven't told her we're having another open house on Saturday. Wait 'til she finds out we're only using one of the 5 bathrooms and hers is officially off limits! Don't know what I'm going to do over Thanksgiving when all 4 of them will be back....they are not going to like the new rules!
I found a single St Joseph (yes, at Dollar Tree!). What should I do? Bury the entire Holy family that's already been blessed or the single St Joseph that won't get blessed until Sunday. I need good karma on Saturday when the open house will take place.

Bette and Kim: you can hold cookie night at my home. That way you'd be able to have more people and maybe I'd even get invited!

Denine...I guess we will just miss you at HH
:(

jeanneg...bury them both!!:earseek:

Amy...beautiful photo!

Peter and Sam....(humming "Holiday Road") sounds like a fun trip!

May Jo..my doggy also "sleeps in" after the kids are off to school, I find her in my son's bed, sleeping:teeth:

Mary,
in a meeting that took place yesterday I learned that my company just created 30 new jobs at Hilton Head. We're doing flightplanning there for one of our largest customers.

This morning our car didn't want to start. I obviously had the pre-heater running to long, and additionally the constant use of the heated seats, mirrors & rearwindow, lights, wipers etc due to the bad weather drained the battery. So Anja took the subway and I called ADAC (Our equivalent to AAA). The mechanic showed up within half an hour and guess what: The engine fired immediately:eek: He told me that may battery was fine, and so it recovered in 30 minutes sufficiently to start the car. But he advised me to get a bigger one. I called my shop, but they don't know which maximum size would fit under the hood and so I took a day off tomorrow to bring the car in. I guess the battery of the diesel-version, which has about 50% more power, will fit. I'll give it a try - and additionally Anja & I are going to check out our possible next car:teeth: Although ours is just 2 1/2 years old I would like to trade it in March for the bigger model: Also a convertible with a retractable hardtop, but this time a full-fledged four-seater. But I guess Anja will need some convincing ;)

OH NO!!!!!! Now that song will be running through my head all night!
jeanneg, you can bless the St. Joesph yourself. Water, sign of the cross.....blessed. Easy as that. Then bury it, and pray.
Wish I could go to cookie night.:( :( :( Maybe some day.::yes::
Eric, Sorry about your car. All those heaters, LOL. Don't have that problem here in FL.
Framed my lithograph yesterday. Cheap frame, but plan on having it framed and matted professionaly someday. I have it hanging in my office/nurses station.

Oh, BIG news, Jerry Siefeld is coming to town. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. Show is 1/27/05. Told boss/doc lady that it would be a cool Christmas present. Heard her on the phone trying to pull some strings....we'll see.:D
Love and Greating to everyone, (even Dan)

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on in a while, between marching band, cheerleading and work, I barely have time to sleep nevermind post.

Bette: It was wonderful hearing your voice tonight. The best part is my grams b'day was on Wednesday. Hearing your voice reminded me of that wonderful hug and I have now officially adopted you. I'm sorry I can't make cookie night, if I had known I would have planned my party for a different day, although as Ciara said, the invites have not gone out yet, so I could still change the day. It's a thought.

Big competition tomorrow at Giants Stadium - All States. We're competing against 13 other bands. As State Champions and having the most points, we have the honor of going last. Pray that the rain holds off we have an 8:06 step off. And pray for 1st place, (Jeanne - I think you're off the hook now, since I've made such a selfish request). p.s. Good luck with the house sale. As a former house searcher, I feel your pain. It's just as difficult for the buyer, trust me on this.

MaryJo and Sarah -we must plan a shopping date. Christmas is right around the corner. I'm an awesome window shopper
::yes::

ONLY 100 FRIDAYS TILL WE ARE AT THE RADISSON!:p sure wish it was 100 days!

Busy day today, getting ready for friends from FL to visit us before heading to Darlington for the NASCAR race on Sunday:bounce: Of course this means scrubbing the bathrooms, washing the floors ect!

Best of luck to you today Ciara. We will be waiting to hear the outcome!

Eric, what kind of jobs will they be in HH? It's a pretty small island without too much in the way of businesses, other then tourist related stuff.

Pixie dust for you Ciara. Hope it goes very well.

Like thinking of it as 100 Fridays! Sounds less depressing than 700 days.

Thankfully it's Friday though. It's been a long week and it appears that it will be a long time til Christmas. We have 3 huge deals that it looks like will now close all the same week. These have been floating around for a couple of months now with nothing happening on them and now all of a sudden everything has to be done on them at once. Wish I got overtime!

It was below 0C this morning. At least it's not raining though. Have to finish raking the leaves this weekend and will probably be wearing mittens to do it. :)

Back to work.

Fiona

They do the flightplanning for one of our largest customers, a company which leases/rents business-aircraft to the Rich & Wealthy. So I assume they are mainly dispatchers, experienced in flightplanning, arranging refuelling, getting slots, etc.

Fiona, we've got you beat. Don't know the Celsius translation but we recorded 17F this morning. Frost everywhere. Glad I got to stay in this morning :p

Fiona,
we also had temps below Zero this week, and some snow on Tuesday, but today it was around 8°C. Unfortunately the forecas predicts snow for next week. Tomorrow I'm going to switch to snow-tyres. Today I had a stronger battery installed in the shop, and guess what: Without asking for it and having to pay for it the filled up washer-fluid with antifreeze and checked the cooling system for anti-freeze:earseek: I was very surprised.
