You won't believe this, but when I opened the stil sealed box of Coccon, there was another DVD in it - and it was damaged. So I have to go the shop and exchange it  We watched 'Brannigan', one of John Wayne's last movies instead of it as Gramps didn't want to watch Million Dollar Baby.

Coincidentally gas prices have dropped here too. The drop was about 4 Cents per liter, which comes to about 18 US-cents per gallon.

We haven't made any decision about the night before the cruise and won't make any before spring.

Good Morning everyone,

Well tonight we are supposed to get our first real freeze, time to put the shorts & t's away. I filled my tank last night and was shocked, I paid $ 2.45 gallon at out local SAMS store. Pretty decent.

Hi Ave', when do we get to see photos of the house ??? inquiring minds want to see...

I had an appointment at my Ortho. Dr's last night for an evaluation with the Physical Therapy department to see if I come out of the cast. Well that evaluation was a dismal failure, I only have 5 degree motion in the ankle and 0 push off strength, so back in the cast for at least 3 more weeks, I will start therapy next week for 3 hrs each week. They are going to start pool therapy as soon as I can balance and not fall on my face... I wonder if my insurance would pay for pool therapy on the Magic ?, afterall they have heated pools also.....

Everyone down south, hope you do well with the next storm. We have been warned up here in NH that this storm could bring us hurricane's and torrential rain yet again, for us it oculd be the worst storm since 1932 where the North east was trashed. Oh joy, another fun weekend coming soon.

Hugs to all, time to get back to work,

Kim

Kim:
sorry to hear you need to spend another 3 weeks in the cast. I agree, the heated pool on the magic should qualify for physical therapy! Was that a typo or did you really pay $1.45 for a gallon of gas? If so, it would almost be worth a trip to NH to fill my tank! Our prices are usually lower than most other states and we're still in the mid $2 range.Last week I paid over $56 to fill our Durango.

Fingers crossed for everyone in the path of Wilma.

Yea, too early to type, it was $ 2.45, pretty much the cheapest gas around NH.

Bye, Kim

Kim good luck with the therapy. Sorry that you have to spend three more weeks in the cast. High yesterday was 90F. Looking forward to some cool weather. Mike

Kim, Sorry to hear that it's another 3 weeks. I'd let you come and swim in our pool but it's closed for the season.

Leaves are changing and it's getting cooler here. No 90F that's for sure.

Gas here is down to about $0.91-0.93 cents a litre. Much lower than the high of $1.33/litre that it was for a short period of time thankfully.

Back to work here.

Jeanne,
that's what I pay for a tank -but our convertible's tank usually swallows 10-11 gallons only for that amount ;)

Kim,
bad luck with your leg, but don't try to rush it. Tendons need more time to mend than bones :confused3

Mike,
you can have our weather :teeth: Staid in the fourties today and it was so foggy that all our skyscrapers were invisible. FraPort (Frankfurt International Airport) had lots of delays and even some cancellations to do extremely poor visibility. We already use our parking heater every morning.

Tomorrow I'll have another opportunity to speak English: I take part in a presentation for a prospective customer from the UK. If we manage to secure that deal it would mean a lot of new jobs for my company - a very important issue nowadays over here. So please keep your fingers crossed for us - It's for your best too: After all we're an American company ;)
BTW: This also means that I have to show up in a jacket and a tie tomorrow - 'semiformal' so to say :rotfl2:

Just got back from getting an epidural for my sciaticia pain. It just wasn't getting any better. During the day I could semi tolerate it by taking Extra strength tylenol every 4 hours along with some Benadryl, but I was getting no sleep at night because of the pain. With the conference coming up this weekend I had to do something. Let's hope this works. Not only am I the chairperson for the conference, but have to do a poster presentation Sat morning and give a lecture Sat afternoon. I need to be in some sort of good mental frame of mind especially giving the lecture. I could probably BS my way through the other parts, but wouldn't you know that my lecture end up being the most popular one for that breakout session so I would hate to be in a drug induced haze giving a talk to over 100 people. My lecture is the last one on Sat so if I am really exhausted I am just making a brief appearance at the dinner and 50's dance. Fiona was so kind to find me a Mickey Mouse Club shirt and Ears while at WDW so that is my costume for the dance. Most of the other women are doing poodle skirts, so I wanted something different.

Kim--- Sorry to hear that your leg isn't healing as fast as you expected. I'm with you for the pool on the cruise as therapy. Last year, I didn't feel 100% better until I was on the cruise. I'm sure it must be all the extra magic that cures us.

Eric--- Congratulations on the promotion.

Jeanne-- Glad you had a good time in Chicago. Sorry I will miss you and John again being so close to me. Maybe I will just have to fly down to see you. Congratulations to your daughter. Amazing Race still remains unamazing to me. At least we leave the country next week. So boring watching them ride in the SUVs.

Mary--- I didn't enjoy Lost last night. It just didn't show me enough new stuff. And we have to wait 3 weeks to see a new episode. I heard someone is going to die sometime in Nov.

Ave--- Glad the house is nearly finished.

Michelle--- Glad you could work in a trip to Florida.

walczak4--- I'm not sure what we are doing the night before the cruise. We usually fly down late the night before and have stayed at the Radisson. Last year was the first time we were there early and that was only because our flight was changed. May do like Jeanne and John and just stay at airport hotel. Won't make any plans until later.

Need to pack my suitcase for the weekend. Wish me luck.

Nancy

Sorry to hear that you are to be casted still Kim and therapy in a pool is therapy imho. Go, go go!

Sciatica pain is not sounding good either. Hope that your session goes easy and as successful as it seems. Congrats on being the "popular" speaker Nancy.

I went for new shoes tonight. Have orthotics from doc and added heel lifts to try. Anti-inflamitory meds and we'll see. Not smiling just now. I'm scheduled for 12 miles this weekend. Now trying to decide if I should push my luck. Oh well. We're out of town visiting a friend this weekend.

Pixie Dust to all that are ailing~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Mike

Nancy, have a good trip! I hope it is a huge success and you are feeling better!! I go to the chiropractor this morning. I am always good on adjustment day, but by the end of the weekend, I'll be tight again!

Kim, keep taking care of that foot!! I would agree that a cruise sounds like wonderful therapy!! If you figure out a way for insurance to cover it, let me know and I'll join you!

Eric, good luck on your presentation too!

On one of the boards here...Budget maybe?.....they were talking about a new book that is out...The Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson (I have to double check the author) It is about a group of kids that are going to be made into halographic tour guides for Disney and what happens in the parks after dark...the characters come to life. It is meant to be a book for the Tweens, but I'll whip through it and then let Colton read it! I have been really busy these last fews days, so I haven't had a chance to read much of it yet. What I have read, it's true to the parks! Someone mentioned Amazon has it. I picked it up at Borders the other day.

M-I-C See ya real soon!
K-E-Y Why? because we like you!
M-O-U-S-E!!!!

Kim take care of yourself. Bette, sorry that we can not make cookie night. It will be a 2 day drive up and a 2 day drive back. Just too far to drive without taking a week off. Want to be there in the worse way, but time and financial restraints preclude it this year. Thank you though.

Hope that Cozumel recovers from the hurricanes by the time that you all cruise so that the fish and onshore excursions will be in shape for your visit. Mike

Mike,
at least you would have sufficient provisions on the return trip :teeth:

The presentation today went very well - Now we have to wait and see :confused3

Jet-lag is over, but Tuesday was tough - I nearly fell asleep during lunchbreak :rotfl2: But we simply adhered to our usual training regimen and ran about 25 to 30 miles since Monday, I did some Badminton, and yesterday we pumped iron again.
Unfortunately tomorrow we both have to work and after work we'll attend a 50th wedding anniversary - it's going to be a very long day.

:wave2:
Hope everyone is feeling better. It's suppose to rain here again this weekend. I sure hope this doesn't mean we are going to have another cold and snowy long winter. I added a short 3 night cruise for next summer woot, woot!

Pixie Dust to All! :wizard:

Eric, glad it went well.
Kim - hope it's better news next time.
Nancy, good luck at the conference and hope you feel better soon.
Wendy

Boo hiss for cold and snowy long winter. Nooooo I'm still traumatized from this last one here.

The Kingdom Keepers
Thanks for the tip. Will have to look into this one.

Viking, Where do you find the time to fit it all? I struggle to put much in the way of steps. I feel like I have accomplished a lot if I can manage 60-70 miles/month. At your rate you must be way cruising. I can't go that fast.

I cant beleive I rebooked onboard for this cruise... wow... cool.... wow... It was to be a phantom booking we were going to change to a 2007 date, but with the rates as high as they are for, it looks like we will stick with this one...

Im Laura.... DH, 2 DDs 7 and 5 at time of cruising and a boy kicker who will be 3.

We have one 3 day DCL cruise under our belts... the 9/29/05 cruise that had the bomb scare. Had a great time and rebooked this puppy while on board. Just checked the rates and this has gone up about 900 for our two rooms since we booked (taking into consideration the discount) I think people who waited for 2007 rates are jumping on the 2006 ones... LOL

Anyway we are on deck 6 cabins 6100 and 6102. And really looking forward to the slower pace of a 7 day cruise!!!

So here I am jumping in.... A Cruisetoberfest newbie... do we get something speicial???
