Now we only have six days to go.... I'm supposed to start packing today but that's An Impossible Dream. :)

Jim.

But There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Shining at the end of everyday! There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, and tomorrow is just a dream away!

I am one of THE biggest procrastinators so I know, you'll Git R Done before the trip! Have a great time..if I don't tell you before you leave! :earsgirl:

Michelle: Thanks!

Nancy: Piece in the local sports section today that the O's have told Palmiero his season is over and clear out your locker. There's more to the article but it's nothing that we didn't expect already.

Eric: It was a pretty cheap trip... something like $60-odd. There was lots of kids stuff, lots of plush animals and Halloween costumes. Not much in the way of adult items and the store manager (who was wearing a pair of Mickey ears) said that they weren't likely to get 'a lot' of adult stuff. Prices weren't sky high either.

Jim.

I hate that the stores have quit carrying the adult clothes. All they have now are Tshirts and PJs. and usually the PJs are hard to get in PoohSize. You have to be there the day they come out and then hope they even sent any to display! The Tshirts are nice, but I liked it better when they had a better variety. I guess that just means we need to go to the parks to shop, right? :moped:

Michele - That's my most favorite WDW song. :music:

Jim - You and Fiona have a wonderful Disney trip. (Don't forget to pack a tie or two. ;) ) Hope Fiona is feeling much better. Thought of you guys today on our way back from RV show in Suffern when we heard the final inning of the Yankee/Blue Birds game. Congrats on your team winning!

Hope Mike and Kathy are having a wonderful time showing Katie all the sights and sounds of Disney World. She was so cute when we met her in Nashville, calling us Miss Rosemary and Mister Rich in that sweet high-pitched baby voice and southern twange of hers.

Welcome home Laurann.

Nancy - A day trip to NYC from York at first seemed like a bit too much to me but then I remembered how my BIL occasionally will drive in from Harrisburg area to the Island and then return the same day... and he would be alone. However, he would be visiting with us and family and not hoofing it all over the island of Manhattan, which can make for a very tiring day.

Hope Jeanneg is having fun on her trip and that she back soon to assist you with Jersey transit and hopefully a room.

Columbus weekend visitors to NYC - please stay on alert for a PM soon to be written by me regarding the weekend. Will begin it as soon as I post this post.

EDITED to say: I meant Blue JAYS!!! Blue BIRDS?! Where the hell did I get Blue Birds from!!???!!!?

Welcome Home Laura! Sounds like a fun trip. Sorry Rita gave you a hard time.
Would love to get a dis fix about now. But it's just not going to happen anytime soon.
Goodnight to everyone.

I'm finally feeling somewhat better but still have a day to go on the antibiotics. I'm hoping that it won't flare up again once the antibiotics are finished.

The Disney Outlet was actually kinda disappointing. There really wasn't much there for little boys -- a lot of princess stuff though and I got some really cheap WITCH stuff for my niece. Haven't a clue who the WITCHES are (there are five of them) but it was cheap and she's got so many toys already that it really doesn't matter if she likes them or not. :)

Got a Toy Story lunch bag for the oldest nephew but there weren't too many boy toys -- and the ones they had were full price which I'm not paying! The lunch bag was only $5 though so it wasn't bad. Got PJ's for the youngest nephew. Hope they fit as he's a little hefty just like babies are supposed to be.

Didn't get a lot else done yesterday -- although did return DS' beer bottles to get them out of the garage. Was shocked at the price of beer though -- wow. Used to only seeing the price at the duty free store.

Nancy - Not sure if Jim is going to pack a tie (I'm thinking not!) but he is packing a new hat that we got yesterday for $4.99 -- can't beat that price.

Rosemary - If you heard the last inning of the game yesterday you also heard the best outing our closer has had all year. For the last two months Batista has just been awful including the grandslam he gave up last week against Seattle. At least it was against the Yankees.

Laura - Sounds like you had a good time regardless of the weather.

Michelle - That's my favourite song at Disney. Hope it's open when we are there. Sometimes it is and sometimes it's not but I love it. That and the TTA are my favourites.

Must go and do something today. Also have to go up to niece's 5th birthday party -- they are making princess crowns!

Fiona

Michelle - Forgot to mention. I wish the Disney Store carried pooh size clothes too -- I also wish they carried housewares but it gives me an excuse to go shopping at DTD -- not Jim's favourite activity but we go to Gharidelli's so he's happy about that.

We went to Bass Pro Shops yesterday for the first time and I was amazed at the ladies clothes. Very nice sweaters and shirts and they are pooh sized! Kinda pricey but this might be a Boxing Day visit!

Fiona

Fiona,
Ghiradelli's is an absolute must for us when we're at DTD!!! YumYum

Just got back from our Disney HH vacation -- had a great time there as usual, especially since our good friends from Florida joined us. Also got to visit with one of my nursing supervisors from Chicago. She & her DH just moved there after their home had been destroyed in one of last year's Florida hurricanes. Haven't seen her for almost 20 years so that was interesting.

Unpacking suitcases now and getting ready to fly to WDW & BCV 3 weeks from today. Really looking forward to F&W festival. Going with my very good friend who has been there only once during 9/11 and Tropical Storm Gabrielle so she missed out on a lot. I will get to play tour guide again which I haven't done for a while.

Laura -- Sorry you had bad weather on your cruise, but I'm glad that you and your sisters didn't let it spoil your trip.

Fiona -- Sending pixie dust that you will be completely cured and feeling just fine when you get to WDW.

Thanks for all the "welcome homes". Honestly, the weather was different from my other cruises, but that's what made it an adventure. (Bonine rocks! :cool1: ) It was about 60/40 sunshine. We had a wonderful time! I miss it already!
Had a giggle in church this morning. The priest starts his homily telling folks to reflect on this past week. He says "so where were you this past week..." My hubby smiles and glances at me and all I can picture is laying on a float in calm crystal blue waters of Serenity Bay. Ahhh! :drinking1 Now I can't wait til next year!
Laura :wave2:

Jean--- Glad you had a great time at HH. Plus you have a WDW trip to look forward to.

Jim--- Not only have they told Palmiero not to come back, but Sosa is also not returning for the remainder of this season. Next year neither one will be on the O's roster. I believe I have had those beaver tails at Epoct smeared with lots of fruit to help the taste.

Fiona--- Glad you are feeling better.

Our Disney store only has children things in it anymore. I thought it was just ours, but guess that is the trend in all of them.

Norm and I went to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mt. Hope Winery today. It is one of the largest renaissance faires on the east coast and celebrating its 25th year. It is amazing the number of people who come dressed in the period for this thing. I felt out of place in jeans and a sweatshirt. We saw alot of the shows, but you would almost have to go 2 times to see everything. Most of the grounds has permament buildings and stages and they not only have renaissance faires but also have celtic events, edgar allen poe events for halloween and dickens for christmas. So the facilty is used nearly year round. And of course there is the wine.

We havent' heard from Kim lately. How are things going for you?

Rosemary and other NYC travels I sent and email out in responses email.
So everyone should have gotten it.

Need to finish up so I can watch some TV tonight. Desperate housewives is on with the start of the new season. I hope they give more answers that what Lost did.

Actually, I did, and I'm very excited!

I just didn't reply right away, because I'm a little jealous. I need a cruise fix, and we aren't able to do it until Cruisetoberfest. Laura--I'm very glad you can still say you had a great time in spite of (or maybe because of?) the weather.

I hope all is well with everyone.

Kim, I know you're bored, sweetie. Hang in there. I'm sure you'll find the perfect hobby. My hobby is scrapbooking. I'm finally in an position (emotionally AND time-wise) that I can scrap my last cruise pics. Cross stitch & needlepoint are both excellent hobbies when you're laid up. I did cross stitch a lot before my children were born.

Gotta get to work. Have a great Monday! (Eric, Anja, & Wendy--have a great night)

Love, Marianne

Marianne,
we also have to wait for Cruisetoberfest IV to get a cruise-fix, so you're not alone with your withdrawal symptoms.
But I have to admit our other vacations are good medicine against it ;)
