Jeanne .... :grouphug: I spent about 40 minutes yesterday staring at the sign for my exit, just waiting for the accident to get cleaned up and traffic crawling again. I can relate. Just think there is another storm coming this weekend too! Makes you wish we were back on PINEAPPLE BEACH watching the ummmmmmm turtles doing the turtle thing.

Perhaps we need to get Mike to post a short link to his video of the turtles doing " it". I am not sure anyone would believe us unless they saw it for themselves, sound effects and all.... <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_5_8v.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_5_8v.gif' border=0></a>

We are possible getting a Nor'easter starting this Saturday. Oh woopie !! I just love it ( NOT!) when snow gets measured by the foot not the inch ....

Guess I should get back to work...

Bye, Kim

We are getting that snow here, right now! It has been snowing since 10am, and started to stick at about 4pm. We just got home from Karate class. Connor was able to take his but Colton's class and after were canceled for rest of the night. I just checked the WVDOE website, and so far, they haven't delayed or cancelled school. I was really hoping they would decide so we could just turn off the alarm! Friends in the neighborhood are outside sledding, even though it's dark. That will just make the hill I live on even slicker...but that's okay. I'm prayin' for snow! :cool1:

Bette--I'm so glad your surgery is not going to be as intense as originally expected. Keep us posted. I agree with all those that said the stressful preamble was meant to be.

Rich & Jeanne--praying that your knees are all better really soon!

It's snowing here--Not sure how much we're supposed to be getting, but it's coming down pretty fast & sticking. I'm supposed to drive into Chicago tomorrow nite for a Bulls game (pretty crazy since I cannot stand basketball!). A group of us from work are going to the Sky Box (very cool!!!!). Maybe I'll ride with the broker who owns the Hummer & just drive over all the other cars :earboy2:

Oh Man!!!! Heidi's baking (Snickerdoodles) & it sure smells good!!!!! I'm gaining 10 lbs just sitting here! I bought her a Teen Cookbook for Christmas. It was one of those things that I passed it, barely saw it, but decided I would get it as one last gift. You'd think it's the best thing she got! She loves it. Isn't that always the case? When they're little, don't you spend tons on the toys & they play w/the boxes? Apparently, they don't outgrow that.

Well, good luck to everyone with the weather.

Marianne

Just returned home from a sad trip to Michigan for my brother-in-laws funeral. He had passed away very suddenly on Saturday. On our 25th Wedding anniversary my sister and he had cruise on the Disney Magic with us in 2002. We had hoped to get them both to cruise again with us, but that is not to be. I do hope we can get my sister to join us sometime soon.

He had just had a stress test a few weeks earlier and passed with flying colors. They were packing for an extended weekend trip to Detroit for the auto show when he started having chest pains with sensations down his arm. Shortly after arriving at the hospital he had a massive cornary and died.

Thanks for listening. I just had to share with my DIS family.

Bette you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Eric the main problem is going to be baggage handling and gate check in space along with taxi-way modifications. One added delay will be security screening also. I like to drive, and I even get to keep my nail clippers :cool1:

Mike

Perhaps you would like that plane as it offers an extra-perk for stronger persons: All seats are 2 inches wider than on other aircraft. The A380 has 50% more sqare-feet floorspace than a B747, but in standard configuration (555 pax in three classes) only 35% more seats. The additional space is used for wider seats and wider aisles. Some aisles are up to 132cm wide, more than 4 feet!! And as the average aircraft of the 139 already ordered has only 532 seats, they will be even more spacious.
As I posted before I also think that baggage retrieval will be a major problem for some time. Fortunately Frankfurt and Munich International already took care of that issue, but as we usually use American carriers flying to the USA it will be some time before we're going to use an A380.

Our condolences for your loss Dave. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Tracy and Bill

Dave and Ellen so sorry for the loss of your brother in law. You have our condolences and prayers.

Bette take care of yourself girl. Mike and Kathy

Dave, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray for your family strength and guidance. :grouphug:

As a side note, we got about 4 inches of snow, and school is CLOSED!! Unfortunatly, our road has already been plowed. :sad1: Not sure we'll be sledding today. I guess we should have taken a chance and sledded with the neighbors last night! I think it's time for a fire and some hot chocolate!

Dave:

Sorry for the loss of your brother in law. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Arlene and Andy

Dave--- Sorry about the loss of your Brother in Law. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Nancy and Norm

Jeanne---That was transportation nightmare in Raleigh area. It even made the news in my area. Glad that John at least made it somewhere safe and sound. So see having that bad knee actually did you a favor as it forced you to stay home so you were able to avoid the traffic nightmare.

Norm and I went to the store last night to stock up for the winter storm. Good heavens you would hate to be caught with a limited amount of food since you might not get to the store for a day. The most I can remember being snowed in was for 2 days One of those times was when I was 9 months pregnant 22 years ago and all the interstates were closed. Once our local road was cleared all the neighbors came over to help clear out our driveway so if I went into labor I could get out.

We are to get up to 14" starting Sat. Gosh I hate winter both the cold and snow.

Nancy

Dave,

We are so very sorry to hear about your brother in-law. Hopefully later your sister will be up to come with you on a future cruise.

Hi everyone else,

We wanted to let you all know how much your thoughts mean to mom and I. We are now looking at the coming surgery as a " walk in the park", OK...maybe with a slight hill... After all, we have to get ready for the Panama trip <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/6/6_15_19.gif' border=0></a>.. This just goes to prove, you must always get another opinion before a major surgery.

Ave', We can't say enough thanks for your help and conversation it meant sooo much to us.

Off to snap the whip <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm813' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_111v.gif' border=0></a>( at work)

Bye, Kim

Dave and Ellen: so very sorry about the loss of your BIL.......it's hard to believe something like that happened when he did so well during his recent stress test.

Bette: hang in there, lady....when exactly is your surgery scheduled for?

My MRI is scheduled for later on this afternoon. Question: If they're only doing my knee do I have to get NAKED (like the massage!!!)??

Dave and Ellen ... That's so sad about your brother in law. You are in our thoughts. I know it must be hard especially since you want to be with your sister and Michigan is not exactly a short trip. Take Care.

Dave and Ellen - So sorry to hear about your BIL. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I don't remember being naked for my MRI's. I think I just had to remove my bra because of the metal otherwise I left my bottom clothing on. Of course, if you want to be naked, I'm sure that might be optional.

Nancy

Bette and Kim,

Johnson is still waiting on Antigua pirate: :rotfl:

Hope the northern branch of the family gets all the snow that they want so that they can make snow cream. Just do not eat the yellow snow :cheer2:

PS It is +42 F here now with sunshine.
