Has anyone ever had photo's put on a cd at Shutters? I was wondering about the cost? It says the cost per print would be $0.40 but no mention of the cost for cd's. I am taking alot of cards for my camera but would feel better if I also put the pics on a cd! Thanks!

Jen

Jen,
I'll have my notebook with me and a 19in1-card reader. So if you run out of memory cards you'll always be welcome- Just bring a couple of CDs or a DVD and I'll toast your pics. What memory cards do you use? BTW, the cost for downloading a memory card on a CD at Shutters is as far as I know $15.99.
For that price you can buy another 256MB memorycard at your local BestBuy ;)

That is expensive! I am going to buy alot of cards I would just feel safer if I also had them on cd's just incase. That is so nice of you to offer! I would appreciate it sooo much! My kids' gram who went 2 yrs ago with the kids is positive she took more pics than what was on her memory card so I don't know if the x-ray machines at the airport could do something to them or what but I do not want to take any chances! I plan on coming home with around 1000 pictures. I probably take a good 100 a week of just of my kids not doing much so I can't imagine on the ship what I'll do! How do you guys all meet up and even know who people are that you haven't met yet? I know, I ask a million questions!

You're very welcome, Jen.
X-ray machines may or even will damage film, but not memorycards. X-rays are basically the same as light, but on different frequencies. Film exposed to x-rays will simply become black. Even films with pictures on it. Only already developed filmrolls are safe. Your memorycards do not store pictures, but data. X-rays can't do any harm to that.
Well in time before the cruise our design team will mail our logo to everyone. You can then print it on iron-on paper and make your own tee or take the file to a shop and have them made professionally (I prefer the latter, it just looks better). So recognition in the terminal is easy. After the lifeboat-drill we'll have a big meeting on Deck 10, starboard, above the Goofypool for the Sail-Away-Party.
For more questions you'd better come over to our site ;)

I've been trying! It keeps saying this: The site is being upgraded.
Please check back shortly... I've been trying for a week. Maybe I have the wrong link? Could someone pm it to me. I clicked directly on the link in my e-mail.

Wow, the shirt idea sound like fun, just the thing I would need to be able to meet some of you on the crazy first day.

Now for a question. What is the best way to get a Tux for my husband for formal night? Should we rent one here and bring it, or can we rent one locally near the port?

Hey Pete,
I still have more posts than you :cool1:

Not everyone wears a Tux, many just do suits. I think probably less than 50% of the men have a Tux. My DH will be wearing a suit.

Welcome back Eric.

If you decide to go with a tux, there will be a form in your documentation with information about a company you can rent one from. It will be in your stateroom when you get on the ship. When you are finished with it, your stateroom CM will remove it. It don't get any easier that that, and you don't have to pack a suit!

Welcome Back Eric!!

Hi Eric,

It is nice to have you back where you belong.. :Pinkbounc :thumbsup2

Welcome back, Viking!!!!! While you were gone some imposter tried to take your place!

Kim: did the package arrive?

And speaking of packages, sorry to say, but yours never did, Eric.

Tuxes: My husband never wears one. He just brings one dark suit and a few shirts and ties.......gets him through formal, semi-formal and Palo night without hauling around alot of stuff. We are firm believers in traveling light.
Although he did say that if we do the DCL Med sailing next year he will rent a tux in Monte Carlo so he can pretend to be James Bond! And i'm just thinking to myself "Honey, you ain't no James Bond.......maybe that little guy in the tux who used to say 'De plane, de plane!', but no James Bond!! But I was good and kept my thoughts to myself.......
