Rosemary,
It must be a firewall or some other sort of security attached to your computer. After the 30-second commercial it should play automatically. As far as never getting to see it, you could (1) watch Fuse or MTV2 24/7 in hopes of catching it or (2) you could come visit me since I have it Tivo'd several times over! (I like option #2.......)
option 2 sounds good to me too!...
Or you can bring a video tape of it when you come to NYC! :D

Who does still use videotapes in 2005 :confused3 :rotfl2:

Rosemary, I can try to download it from the web and burn you a CD or DVD.
Does your DVD-player 'eat' DVD-R, DVD+R or both?

......We went to a warehouse sale this afternoon and bought crockpots #6 and #7 -- a 6 quart one and a 1 quart one (neither size that we had before) and they were only $32 Cdn for both. A great deal. Jim doesn't like ties but he loves crockpots (and they get to live together in the cupboard too!). If you ever want a crockpot recipe ask him -- he's got tons. We actually have one that with a convertor device thing we can use in the car. It plugs into the 12V plug. Really cool actually to pull into a picnic place and while everyone else is eating sandwiches we have a hot meal. :goodvibes

Kim & Bette -- We finally found noodles and are using the floating seats that we got at the Christmas store -- they work great for just floating in the pool.

Just waiting for Jim to get back with the pizza I ordered online for pickup. We did have a light supper/late lunch earlier but that floating in the pool discussing our abs is hard work and we are hungry.
You can order pizza ON LINE!??!?!?! What is this world coming to? :rotfl: Tell Jim I can use some crockpot recipies. We bought a new one recently when a former co-worker raved about using hers all the time. I pulled out the one we got as an engagement gift (way back when) and started to use it but then broke the glass cover. So we bought a replacement and it COOKS TOO FAST!!!

Yesterday went to annual summer office party held at the head Doc's home. Too hot. It was stiffling. So glad I bought bathing suit with me. Spent a lot of time in their pool. Came home, didn't have to cook since we ate plenty ther, and just spent alot of time in our pool!

Have to leave now. Family party out east, about 40 miles away. No pool there but thank God for air conditioning!!

Eric - who still uses videotape? I guess just me and perhaps Warner Wolff!! :rotfl:

Just made plane reservations for our October trip to BCV (girl's trip). We were waiting to see if we could get a deal. Well, yesterday, the lowest r/t price went from $170 in the a.m. to $220 in the evening. I thought that might happen when the gas prices skyrocketed yesterday. We are now paying $2.49/gal. Price went up about 15 cents in one day.

Can't remember if any Cruistoberfester has used Magical Express to get luggage and luggage-owner from airport to WDW resort. Seems to me that someone did (JeanneG?). Wonder how it worked out if you did. Our practically only airline in Charlotte (US Air) is not on the list of participating air lines. Not sure what that means, but I thought we would pick up our own luggage and just take the free bus ride. Wonder if it takes as long as Mears buses do (whole bunch of stops before you get to your resort). We haven't done Mears in years. Took forever to get to our resort.

Jean--- The deciding factor for us to do a late OCt WDW trip was the airfare. Airtran last week had a Baltimore to Orlando special $59/one way for alot of the flights except on Sunday and Friday. I was able to get the $59 fare both ways for our Dec trip. However, for Oct had to pay $79 going down and $59 coming back. I was whining about the $79, but whine no more. I just checked Airtran website the same flight is now $301 one way. I am so glad I didn't play the wait and see game for airfares. Only DVC available was SSR so going there. I tried dates from 10/23-11/7 and that was still the only place available and it was limited. I'll let you know our thoughts on the place when we get back.

We are off to Hersheypark to see Bowzer’s Rock N Roll Party. Never mind that is in the 90's I have to get use from my season pass. Next week Paul Revere and the Raiders.

For anyone who is watching AR3, if Ian and Teri don't get Phileliminated tonight, I might have to throw something threw the TV.

What a guy! That would actually be very nice because I'm sitting here thinking how do I make a video from a TIVO if my DVD player and VCR are connected to the upstairs unit and my TIVO (actually DVR) is downstairs.

Yes, I also could use some crockpot recipes.......it's so easy to use and I never have to worry about getting distracted and burning dinner!

No problem,
can you post the name of the band and of the song again, so that I can do a search for it?

BTW, I was only boasting a bit and pulling Rosy's leg: We retired our VCR just about three weeks ago when we replaced iot by a Sony Harddisk/DVD-Recorder. Additionally my laptop has a receiving unit for digital terrestrial TV, which I record to harddisk and then after removing the commercials burn to DVD.
I dumped about 300 VHS tape with TV-recording during the last weeks and this week I will donate about 200 original movies to Oxfam, who will sell them and use the proceedings for development projects in Africa.

The band is Mae; the song is "Suspension" (from the Everglow CD) and the production company is Tooth and Nail. I bought the CD yesterday since I like the song and figured increased sales will indirectly help Adam. I was pleased to see that Best Buy had them featured in the front with other new releases and they given more than one display rack.

Jeanne,
the album is even available as an import in Germany. Look at this excerpt from Amazon.de:

Everglow, the von Mae Canada (20. Juni 2005)
Audio CD

Amazon-Preis: EUR 28,99
Versandfertig bei Amazon in 1 bis 2 Wochen.

This means:
The Everglow from Mae Canada (Release 06/20/05)
Audio CD
Amazon-price: €28.99 ($35.94)
Estimated delivery in 1 to 2 weeks

The price is stiff, but it is an import and those are usually very expensive when coming in small numbers. Delivery time is long, same reason as above.
Usual price for a new CD is between €9,99 and 19,99. Delivery time is 24 hours. But IMHO it is a good sign for the band that the CD is available on the German amazon-site. It wouldn't be the first time that some radio DJ discovers something extraordinaire, likes it, airs it - und thus creates demand for an official import by a German label. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

Eric people from Tennessee are not the only stubborn folks around. Found this while checking my email on yahoo. German Spelling Kind of like people from the north saying potato and folks here saying tater. :rotfl2:

Thanks for taking over the job of producing the magnets, Rosemary :love2:
I'll show you on The List as 'The Magnetic Mistress' with the next revision......
Let's just hope I'm worthy of the takeover. I have no clue what to do or how to do it and I'm not very artistic, but hubby can be. ;) Guess who will be drafted to help me come up with something acceptable? ;) :goodvibes :teeth:

Nancy! That is a big jump in price! HOLY MOLY! Glad you got your 59 and 79 dollar rates! Enjoy Bowzers R&R party. We saw him many years ago at St. John's University (I think) with ShaNaNa. And I LOVE Paul Revere and the Raiders!! :lovestruc

OMG, Rosemary....this is TOO FUNNY! You take me down memory lane. I can't tell you what a big fan of PR&R I was when I was around 13 (nearly 40 years ago!) I thought only Nancy and I had that in common.......Now I really can't wait to meet you!

I left for the family party in such a rush and I (again) skimmed while reading posts and missed Eric's offer to burn a CD. I only saw his question about who still uses videotapes! Yes! He is quite a guy...one of a kind, s'matter of fact! :teeth:

While I believe our DVD player takes both types of DVD/CDs, I wouldn't bet my life on it. I remember going through this exact same conversation with my brother a year or so ago when he was burning CD/DVD of family wedding. I don't remember what we have. And while it would really be nice to see, you don't really have to go through the trouble. I thought it would be neat to see. I'll ask my son about it when he returns home next weekend. He may be able to see it on Yahoo! off of his computer.

Mike - Who said people from Tennessee are stubborn? I found them to be very sweet and accommodating! :goodvibes :lovestruc

So do you all want to come next Sunday to see him? Show times 5pm and 8pm.

Will Mark Lindsay be there or will it just be Paul, who must be ancient by now?

Hersheypark was HOT,HOT, HOT. We did manage to sit under a fan in the ampihtheatre. We say the Drifters, The Comets, the guy who sang Little Running Bear, and the women who sang MashPotato. Bowzer now has his song singing with the group. He looks just like his dad. It was well worth sitting in the heat. Let's home next week is not as hot.

Nancy

It will be Paul for sure. He is now 65 years old, but still as crazy as ever. Daren Medley (dad was Bill Medley of the Rightous Brothers) is the lead singer now he is the young one of the group. He is 40.

Got to go watch AR3 and if Ian and Teri are still on after tonight you will hear me scream in NC.

Nancy

Same double post - See below because I added more to original one....

Jeanneg - I listen to "the oldies" all the time. I was pissed off when CBS-FM turned "Jack". I was listening that afternoon and wondering "whatthehey!"

Would love to go to Hershey to see PR&R. Too bad it's not a Saturday or a Sunday day thing. Even the 5 o'clock show is not realistic with work the next day. But thanks for the offer, Nancy. Sounds like it was a reallyl great show tonight!

BTW - Jeanneg - Talk about DUH! moments! - it is only just recently I realized that your user name should be pronounced Jean G. I was always pronouncing it Jean Neg! And the other Jean I couldn't even figure out how to pronounce but also just recently at the same time realized it is probably Jeannie C. Am I right?

Thunderstorm rolling in. I may have to shut down. My computer is slowing down to a crawl for some reason too! :confused3
