MBB, I would rather be a Vikings fan than a Dallas, Bengals, Ratbirds, or Browns fan anyday!! I still could name some more but I'm sure you get the picture. Tony Dungy was a Def. Cord. for the Vikings who was an Ex-Steeler. So I guess what go's around comes around.
BTW I don't think you want to hear me sing. Who do the Vikings play that day??

I've heard a rumor (it might have been on this thread!) that several NFL games are shown in Diversions. So Renysmom, you may get to watch YOUR Redskins!

I think I'll be happy if I can just catch some highlights. I keep reminding myself, we're not going on this cruise to watch football. Not TOO much anyway!

lauraljp and I were just discussing the cruise (not the first time that's happened!) and how we are only eight weeks away. We had overnight temps in the 50's a couple days here last week, so October must be coming!

I don't want to wish the summer away, but....

No bags packed yet, but I've got little piles of clothes put away that they have been told not to touch, UNDER PAIN OF DEATH!!!!

Does the anticipation of going on a cruise make you seasick?? Or maybe I just have a stomach full of very crazy butterflies!

Does anyone think the face on the smilie : is about to explode?

I plan to attack the packing and final shopping starting next week. First we are heading to the beach on Wednesday for 4 days to relax and play (and work on the precruise tan )


Can't believe we pull out of here in 46 days headed to FL and the cruise....

Hey fellow cruisers! I've never been on a cruise - my husband and I are cruising without my kids - but I can't wait. We are definitely a disney crazed family. My daughter even worked for their store for 3 years.

Hello shipmates......Wow seems far away but just over a year from now we will be singing "All Aboard" Ok maybe thats for trains but you get the drift.
And just a few weeks will be the kick off of the NFL season

We cruised on DCL the first week of November in 2003. It was warm and humid!

Welcome Cheer... John and I are cruising without kids as well and so looking forward to it...

The weather should be high 80's, cooler nights..

I have a weather channel on my Centro phone and I have it programmed for home and Nassau.. Right now (9:07 pm it says it is 84, passing clouds and warm..

Ive been to WDW in October and December and each time I've worn shorts and gotten sunburned.. I am expecting the same but do have a few longsleeve shirts on my list as well as a sweathshirt and light jacket

Now that we are getting close to packing time, let's help each other out.... Besides the clothes, suits and alcohol , backpack, etc. What other things are you packing that we may not have on our list?

I put a small digital alarm clock in my cruise box today since I read that the only clock in the room does not light up so you can't see what time it is at night. I also put a large softside envelope in the box to store all my collectibles (navigators, postcards, etc.) that I don't want to be ruined when I pack.

ohhh and I forgot to tell you I started my trip plan album.. What it is, is I bought a cheap 20 page photo album at Walmart for $2. The one with the plastic covers. Then using Micro Word I created a 4 X 6 template that I type up each days plans, confirmation numbers, etc on.

Example: Day one has The Radisson info (phone number, reservation number, etc. on it), Day two has directions to the beach and Ron Jon from the Radission.. Day three has my cruise checkin info on it, for each day of the cruise I have a page with that days excursion info, reservation number etc.. Then on the day we disembark I have the hotel info for our post stay. Each park day has our ADR's, park hours, touring plans, etc.... Finally I have a tip list which has some of the things I have heard about on the cruise boards that I want to see or try, some photography tricks for settings, etc..

This thing is great and John loves it... It fits nicely in my bag or John's back pocket, it weights nothing and everything is nicely organized.

I will post a picture in a day or two so you can see what I mean, with an example if anyone is interested.. My neighbor has mine from last year (she is making one) and I will get it back from her to take pics of.

So back on subject... what else am I forgetting to pack that I don't want to forget?

I can't believe it is so close! I am so excited. Are you guys bringing Pirate Costumes? I have some things I have picked up like Eye patches, bandanas, and I am going to buy my DD a costume. I have also bought a POC t Shirt for myself and my mom. Wasn't sure if I was going to go all out or not.

We are also heading to Disney World before and attending the MMNSSHP so we will get double use out of our stuff.


So have we all decided on a DIS meet on board? This will be my first Disney Cruise, so I have absolutely no suggestions.

I'm a Disney nut too - I spent my 40th birthday in Disney two years ago - absolutely awesome! I still have my crown that Prince Charming gave me at dinner!

I've heard the pirates night is absolutely a blast! I haven't actually purchased anything, but I think we have a pirates costume or two that my kids have worn for halloween over the years!
