OMG!!! :earseek:

I just posted & saw my countdown, 38 days??!!

I'd better get to work. Tom has thrown me into such a loop, I haven't had a chance to even think about the cruise.

Woooohooooo! We just got our docs for the 9/25 cruise. I was hoping they would come with the 10/02 docs, but as long as they come before we leave.....Thankfully, we are keeping way to busy here so time is moving quickly...they 18th will be here before we know it!

That's great news, Jill ::yes::
I hope DCL keep their promise and send ours also before we leave for the US.

We're at 17, Marianne

OOOPS,
I nearly forgot to mention it: We got a €577 tax refund today, that's about $700:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
I guess we'll give the American economy a tiny boost with that ;)

Our 100 metre hurdler just fell in the race that she had a really good shot at winning a gold. :( She's from Pickering so everyone was rooting for her. It was really sad to see her face when she ran into the hurdle. An American won but I can't remember her name.

Our baseball team just lost to Cuba so we will have to play Japan for the bronze medal.

Just waiting for the cruise 'cause today has been full of really dumb questions like "my clients have already paid for the upgrades so could you change the adjustments to show this -- me -- ah there is a deposit showing it if you go down 3 lines" "Oh yeah there is".

Cruise can't come fast enough (although I have a ton to do beforehand). :D

Hmmmm.....it looks like the first round of drinks is definitely on Eric!

Doc talk....Already! OMG...I'm not near ready. Better get started with the preliminaries.

One of the Drug reps gave me a new Sponge-Bob Square pants srub top today. :smooth: It's so cute!

My Doctor is signing up for a Medical program in Ft. Lauderdale the weekend after the cruise. It's to learn how to do Botox injections! :earseek: She asked me if I wanted to go with her. Do I hear a Yes!?:p But, she has been know to change her mind, so we'll just see.

Kim, The numbers you sent worked fine. The program is loaded. Thank you. It's just not the one I needed for the list.
Cathy....got your e-mail Thank you. :teeth:

So what's with all this PMing. Sounds like the Ron Jon group is up to something?????

Later, Avé

Mary, Ciadriamom: what part of NYC are you from? I was born and raised in the Inwood section of Manhattan....hubby is a Bronx boy. We both attended NYU, but at the old campus at University Heights.

Ave -- it's the dinner group that's up to something not the Ron Jon group. We are staying at the better place -- Radisson!!

Have never been to New York City but would like to see a play on Broadway one day. Have driven around the City but never actually stopped there. On my to do list.

So not ready for the cruise but so wish it was next week too!!

Fiona

jeanneg...I grew up in Hicksville Long Island. One of my sisters works at NYU (head psych nurse) and lives just 1 block from the hospital.I have 2 brothers on L.I. one in Copique and one in Roslyn. So I get to see them all when I visit. Having a sis in the city gives me a great excuse to spend at least one day doing the "city" stuff.
Speaking of NYC, one of my docs is going to NYC while I'll be on the cruise. I helped him get Lion King tickets on line last week.

Documents should be here soon. I picked up the guys tuxs from the cleaners this weekend, found a tux shirt on E-Bay for DS (for 2.99 what a deal!) and got new tires on the car. I have dental appt. made for the week before we sail, but still have to get an eye exam and extra contact lenes for the trip.
Everyone remember to pick up any medications you may need, and have your cars (if driving) checked out before hitting the road! A frind is going to house-sit, so the worry of finding someone to look after the animals is taken care of.

Helpful Hint of the day...Make a list of ALL the things you will have to do before the trip, then pick the things that can be done well ahead (like drycleaning or car tune up) and do a few things each weekend from now until end of Sept. This makes for a far less stressful week prior to leaving home (which will be busy enough!)

Ave, BOTOX!!!???I hope she takes you to to Ft Lauderdale! But make her "learn" on someone else....or is that your role (guinee pig)in Ft Lauderdale??!!

Marianne...yup, that's the website I was talking about. Crazy Stuff. If any other parent wants to make their 9-11 y/o day, show them this site!Like I said, did not seem funny to me, but what do I know?

Ave..I think you are right...the Ron Jon gang is up to something!

OK.....OK The No-name dinning group is up to something.....ummm, dressing up like Johnny Depp????pirate:

Yes, Botox. And there is a chance that I could be a "test subject". Mark might not know me when I get back!:p NOT:hyper:

Jeanneg, I was born and bred in Brooklyn. I went to High School in lower Manhattan, right across the street from police headquarters. Up until four years ago, I still worked in the City. Just couldn't take the 2 1/2 hour each way commute anymore.

But, I'm back there every weekend, taking care of Gram so I never really left.

If anyone will by in the NYC area, let me know would love to give ya the grand tour, NY style.

Our New York experience is similar to Fiona's & Jim's: In '95 we were on a direct flight from Frankfurt to Orlando with Delta and flew over NYC in about 40,000 feet with perfect visibility. It was so great that we could make out the Statue of Liberty and some more details. And last year when I switched planes in Newark enroute to Denver I also had a great view of the skyline and Lady Liberty.

Ave,
you're just kidding about Botox, aren't you

Talking about Johnny Depp: Did you know that his last name means 'Moron' in German - No kidding!! And after I have seen him at Jay Leno's show, I must say, there is a grain of truth in it ;)

Fiona,
I've seen that fall of your hurdler. Unfortunately she also made a Russian fall, which led to a protest of the Russian team, but to no avail.

Eric -- it was an awful fall that she had especially as she took out the Russian with her. There was a picture of her sitting in between a hurdle on the front page of the paper this morning. Similar to the picture of the Gail Devers (?) sitting under the hurdle after she had a leg injury. It's so sad to see athletes who have worked so hard have something so awful happen to them like that no matter what country they are from.

Just waiting for October to come. Can't come quick enough at this point.

Fiona

I know what you mean, Fiona.
Our equestrians are still mad about the loss of their two golds  And today our weightlifter Ronny Weller injured his shoulder so bad that he had to quit - It was his fifth participance in Olympic Games.
My condolence about your boys being beaten in softball by the Japs. At least they're better off than your neighbors to the South - But at least now I know why they bear a grudge against Cuba :jester:

:bounce: Not to bring up a bad subject ... BUT, little reminder to make sure that you have the proper proofs for the cruise. Passport or Birth certificate. We can laugh about it now, but I remember the panic when someone had two proofs for themself and none for their husband when they reached the port. With about 30 days to go, you would still have enought time to get one.

Eric ... last year our server (the mig pilot) was going to Germany and he thought he might meet up with you. Did he ever do that? Just wondering, Art & I were talking about it.

No Cathy,
Jean (Zan) didn't get in touch with me - But to be honest I didn't expect him to. Although he was nice, he seemed a bit like a 'cold fish' - Ya know what I mean.
No comparison to the one and only Fitz - I would LOVE to have him again as our server ::yes::
I hope the people at DCL got the linking of our ressie OK. I'm still not very comfortable about handling a cruise without DU, but what else should I have done with a free cruise ;)
Since Monday the first thing we do when coming home is a curious look into our mailbox - Are there any docs or a notification from FedEx. For Cruisetoberfest I they sent it via FedEx and we had to pick it up at their facility - about 15 miles from our place, becasue we were running out of time. For Cruisetoberfest II we picked them up at the Terminal. For this year's cruise DCL swore a holy oath to have them delivered well before 9/11.
I'll post the usual Happy Dance as soon as we get them - Or I'll have to invest in another long distance call, if they're not here before 9/6 ;)
