Hi Meme! Welcome to the 10/11/04 cruise! So glad to have you.The best way to get a handel on who's who is to join "The List". This is very easy to do. Just e-mail Eric (Viking) by clicking on the link in his signature. Send him the following info:
Your first names/ages
occupation
cabin # (if known)
main or late seating for dinner
hometown
where you will be the night before the cruise
any special occation you may be celebrating while on the crusie

Once he has this info, you will be added to the list and a copy will be sent to you. This info is NOT posted on any public board, and is sent to only those who have sent in their info. If you don't know any info (like where you are staying) or if you are not comfortable with any info (like cabin #) please feel free to leave it out. About half of us have sailed together before, the other half we will be meeting for the fist time!

Hotel the night before. We are staying at the Radisson at the port. Others will be at Ron Jons also near the port. Still others will be staying near the airport. Those of us staying at the port are plannig to meet at a resturant called "Gills" overlooking the water on Friday the 1st for snacks and drinks. We also have some fun things planned once on board.
Sailaway Party on Sat
Snorkel/diving trip on St Thomas or sightseeing trip
Eco trip on Antiqua
Lunch on one of the "Sea Days"
a group photo

Dinning: if you are interested in joining one of the "tables" just say the word.

We are planning T-shirts. Goofynut and friends have come up with a cute logo and will e-mail it to everyone. You can print it out on "iron on" transfer paper and iron it onto your own t-shirts.

I think I covered everything (NOT!!!)The main thing is to check the boards often, ask questions, and join in the excitment as the days count down!

Can't help with the airfare thing as we are driving.

I have to tell you I love your screen name. My Twin sister's (TwinAve on this board) daughter is named Mary (after me) and when she was learning to talk, she called me "Aunt me". At first we thought we thought she was trying saying Aunt Mary, but soon discovered she was saying "Aunt Me". She has been calling me that ever since!

Jill and Tim, so sorry you have such an ordeal with the diving! I agree with Eric, once you get into the water in the tropics you'll know it was worth it!

Just click on the 'Join Cruisetoberfest3' in my signature to mail me. Looking forward to your mail

Welcome Meme to our group. I made magnets for almost everyone's stateroom door and mailed them out. Please PM me your name and address and once I make them, I will mail them to you.

Reneé

This also goes for any other new people that I may have missed. I will be checking Eric's list again to just make sure that I haven't missed anyone.

Welcome MeMe.

I'm one of those who'll be staying at the Hyatt MCO on the 1st. Got a great airfare of $122 per person roundtrip on United Airlines out of Philly last week. Not sure if the sale is still on, but you should definitlely look into it.

P.S. My DS nickname is MeMe also. Short for Tamika.

Thanks for the welcome:)

I emailed Eric and pm'd Renee. I will check out the radisson & ron jons. and I'm on a search for great airfare. From the inifo I 've read it looks like the st thomas tram is a nice thing to do on our own, we have a 3 year old and will likely take him, so scuba, etc is out. any other excursions to recommend?

MaryEllen,
I got your mail - Now you've become an official member of our gang ::yes::

Folks,
this means that an update is due:Pinkbounc I'll do it tonight after I've returned from the gym and had dinner. Coincidentally Anja is working the lateshift today and I've got time to do it. If you want to submit changes/additions, make it quick ;) your deadline is somewhere around 1pm EST.

Welcome Auntmeme. The list will give you a good idea of who we are all. We are staying at the Radisson the night before. I got an internet rate of $85/night which has strict cancellation penalties but I don't expect to cancel. The Radisson also lets us park our car there for the week for free which was a consideration.

Saw new nephew last night -- very cute but he slept for all but maybe 5 minutes of our visit. He's not bothered by noise when sleeping though as niece and nephew were by no means quiet! Lots of dark hair. He doesn't sleep that long though at night so DB and DSIL were pretty tired. My DS gets along great with little kids (although don't tell him that). He spent a lot of time teasing my niece and lifting 1st nephew into the air so that he could touch the ceiling.

We (Jim, DS and I) took the two older kids to Dairy Queen, us to get dinner and the kids ice cream. They were pretty good and on the walk there and back although nephew was carried for part of the way back -- he's not light either!

Asked what the kids needed and DB stated that no one was to buy the third child any toys at all and no toys are needed that make lots of annoying sounds. We now, of course, have a mission, suggestions are welcome for loud, annoying toys. :teeth:

Back to work.

Fiona

New nephew, Fiona?
Ooops, had to scroll back, now I got it :D
Congratulations to you, Jim and the proud parents

Well,let's see.....

As I recall a spinning top would maka a 'lovely' sound...But,remember..you can't give something to new babe & not give a presant to niece and #1 nephew...mmmmm,how about...FINGER PAINTS !!!!! :rotfl:
Bette

Ooooo I like the idea of finger paints. :teeth:

Not being totally mean here as my DB gave my DS when he was young the most loud, annoying toys possible and made sure they were always full of batteries.

Fisher Price ( Toy MFg) makes a lovely child size drum/band set....

So glad to have you aBoard. :teeth:

Fiona, two words....Play Doh! Not loud, but tough, if not impossible to get out of your carpet. :p

DD was not able to view the kidlist. As we have an OLD puter, and do not have the program needed. If someone out there could print it out and fax it to me she would be a happy camper. Fax number at my job is 850 785 7579.

Got to get dinner going. We're having "breakfest" for dinner, cheese omlettes, hash browns, bacon toast and OJ. Yummm!

Later, Avé

Ave! I have to laugh about the Play Doh! I remember the trip to the clinic to get it out of your DD ears when her playmate filled her ear canal!

Fiona....when DN is a bit older Sand Art! What a mess!!!!

Auntmeme...(Maryellen)I also got a great deal on the Radisson. A 1bedroom with whirlpool suite for $115.00. As Fiona says, you face a 25% fee if you cancel, but if I cancel it will mean I am dead, so I wou't care about the 25%!!LOL!
I have to ask...what dose ME stand for? Medical examiner?

Sharon...Is your name Tamika???

No, that's my sister's name, making her "Aunt MeMe to my two dds.

My girls Aunt MeMe loved those press the button and hear the animal sound toys and let's not forget the telephones that ring and answer all by themselves.

Sorry that we haven't been on much lately, but have been on the busy side. Welcome to all of our new cruisers. Congratulations Fiona on the new addition to the family.

Looking forward to the cruise. Mike

OOPS,
I didn't make the connection, Ave'. Next time I'll make a PDF of the KId's LIst and send it to you.
BTW,
shall I bring a CD with the required software in September. I happen to have a 'back-up'-copy of it ;)

Hi Gang:

It's been a long time since I've posted Just want to check in and say hello to everyone.

Renee:
The magnets are wonderful!

I've also been bad about checking posts lately, so I have a couple of questions (so please bear with me). Was the design for t-shirts decided upon? And if so, how do I get a copy of that?

After much planning, I will be staying at Pop Century before the cruise. I will be arriving in WDW on 9-28-04. I have Tiffany Towncar picking me up and taking me to the port on Saturday. Should arrive at the terminal early, I'll need all the time I can get to start putting faces to names. I look forward to meeting everyone. Right now I'm just so confused with who is who, but I figure it will all make sense once I get there.

The excurisions that I've been thinking about is Stingrays and Dolphins in Antigua, and Champagne Catamaran Sail in St. Thomas.

Have a magical day
Sue

Hi Everyone,

Lenny & I took off from work yesterday and took Haley to Sesame Place. We had a great day, and Haley had the time of her life. We spent the day in the wave pool, lazy river and other water and dry rides. She was so worn out that after lunch she fell asleep during Elmo's World Live! She wound up sleeping for 2 hours. Then it was on to more water rides. By this time it was around 4:30 and she started shivering. Of course, she kept saying no when I asked if she was cold or if she wanted to get out of the water. I finally said we had to get out. After we all got changed, we watched the parade and then headed for home since it was around 7 pm. We were there since 8 am since tickets for breakfast with Big Bird and Friends are first come, first served. Breakfast was ok, not something I'd do again and definitely not like Disney.

All in all, we had a great time and were exhausted by the time we got home.

I finally just caught up with my reading of the boards and made some more magnets and am doing some work in between.

Reneé

Sharon, I got a copy of the Kids List from Mary Jo. But thanks anyway! Now I have to get my son's name on the list.
Thanks Mary Jo!!
Eric, If you bring me a CD so that I can do Words I will love you forever! ;)
Mike, How is your brother-in-law doing?
Sue, Nice to hear from you. Don't worry about figuring us all out, that's what name tags are for.:jester:
Half a day of work tomorrow, then my doc boss lady goes on vacation until 8/2. :bounce:
And only 3 days till twin sis gets here.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Hope everyone is having a great week.
