Goofynut: Happy Birthday!!!! have a great celebration....and a drink for me!

Renéé Thank u very much for the Magnets love em...

they are on the fridge with the one from those people in NH.
from last year...

Still Cant believe we Saw MOOSE....

Reneé--

Got the magnets today. They look great!

I was planning to take the kids to see the new Harry Potter on the IMAX screen. They weren't as excited about it as I was. (We have seen it already on the regular screen.) Maybe tomorrow.

It was really hot in the sun here today, and I spent way too much time in it. Now I've got a massive headache. Can't put my head on my pillow, it hurts so bad. I'm trying to sip water--I'm sure I'm dehydrated.

Anja--you may be interested to know, we've taken Duke into our home. He's the black lab that went with DH's secretary about 3 or 4 weeks ago--I mentioned it in a previous post. Unfortunately, she left her husband, got an apartment, and can't keep the dog. Tom brought him home until he finds another home for him, but I think he's going to stay here. His life has been turned upside down, living in 4 different houses in 4 weeks! The one thing that I think bothers me the most is that, you can't tell me Tina didn't know a month ago that she was going to split with her husband. That's not an impulsive decision.

Well, little league baseball & girls softball are both over for the season (thank the Lord!). I hate filling in the calendar in the spring. We can do almost nothing until the middle of July--one of the kids has a game or a practice or something. David's team party was today, and then Heidi lost her tourney game, which ended the season. The picnic is next Saturday.

Now that that's over & the Pennsylvania trip is behind me, I can focus on October.

Later, Marianne

I've been looking at the sail dates and prices for RCCL "Mariner of the Seas" for next October. Anyone interested?

We've decided our next cruise will be Hawaii. We have always wanted to do Hawaii, but been kind of intimidated by all the island hopping we would want to do. NCL now has a US registered ship that does only Hawaii. (if the ship is not US registered, it has to hit a foriegn port somewhere on the trip) Seems like the best way to see the most in a shorter amount of time. But we'll see......we usually end up spending our vacation savings on a trip to the Carribean or WDW before we save enough for Hawaii.

Happy Birthday Mr. Goofynut! Hope it was a great one.

Actually got DS out of bed and out of the house this morning as he wanted to go to Costco with us. He also went out for breakfast with us at a diner we go too. We go often enough that we no longer order as the owner already knows what we want so DS was waiting for us to order before he did and was kinda stumped by the whole thing -- course he wasn't quite awake yet either. :p

DS will be 18 tomorrow so Mike I know how you feel. My baby is growing up.

Saw the Jays lose this afternoon -- pretty painful 11-2. Our reliever was awful and gave up a grand slam.

Would like to see The Notebook and Spiderman 2 but may have to wait for a bit as haven't had time lately.

It was finally hot today and wore shorts for the first time in ages it seems. We kept moving seats at the ballgame to sit in the shade!

Must go and do some laundry.

Eric,

Actually, I mailed your magnets with everyone else's. I hope that's ok.

Any hints on the animal???

Reneé

Thank you!!!
I guess, for sending them to Frankfurt you deserve a hint: Cuba Gooding Jr had a dozen of them in a Disney-movie. Got it?;)

Marianne,
Anja will surely be jealous ;) I'll tell her later when I pick her up at the hospital. She has to work the whole weekend :( But I'm not off better: I go a large box of work waiting for me, too. My old department has declared an emergency and so I volunteered to help them.

Ave',
let's go for the Jackpot, although hitting it may mean that we would have to stay in the USA - at least for the winter season each year :jester:
BTW, am I correct that we'll gain an hour when travelling from St. Augustine to PCB, and lose it again when we're travelling from PCB to Orlando?

Videoman,
Bingo? Perhaps we give it a try. I usually associate Bingo with English housewives in ugly clothing yelling from time to time :jester: I spent 3 summers in England as a kid and we laughed our butts off peeping into those Bingo-Halls :p

I think I got it (actually Lenny did). Can't wait to see it and Haley's reaction since she loves animals.

Viking: :D LOL about the bingo.....That is exactly what it is, But with your luck and some borrowed ugly clothing...maybe we could win the big one!!! lol

 Did I read some time back that someone is getting a scuba trip together?? If that is the case, I have someone interested in going. He is certified, certifiable :teeth: or whatever you have to be....I know nothing of scuba diving. please send info or link so I may forward to him.
Thanks,
Allen

I've been away from the boards for 4 days so had alot of catching up to do.

Happy Belated Birthday to Art (Mr. Goofynut)

Mike-- I'm impressed that you actually remember the date you and Kathy met. Also thanks for the Icard.

Renee--- I got the magnets in the mail on Saturday, thank you so much you did a great job. Now I just need to put them somewhere near my cruise stuff so I don't forget to bring them with me.

Busy weekend. We went to Baltimore Inner Harbor on Sat with DS#1 and his GF. Then today we went to Hersheypark for Norm's company picnic. Monday I am off work, because DS#2 is getting his wisdom teeth out. Hopefully it will go as smoothly as DS#1 went.

I really need to get organized for this cruise. We are flying down late Friday night won't get to MCO until around 10:30pm. The last couple of times we rented a car and drove over to the Radisson at the Port. Not sure what my plan is yet. Plus we are staying 4 days post cruise, so need to get a room at WDW. Maybe tomorrow will work on some of these details.

Mary (Relling Twin)--- I can't cruise until after the 3rd week in Oct in 2005 because of my conference responsibilites. Are you looking at Eastern or Western on Mariner of the Sea?

Disneybride96--- I have been reading on cruise critic a review of the NCL Aloha ship that is taking it's maiden cruise with its Hawaii iternary. They have posted up to day 4 so far. You might want to read that. It is interesting what all the changes are on the ship because it is flying under the US flag. This was the ship that had to cancel some of the cruises prior to repositioning as the US crew was exhausted. It has been interesting reading. We plan to do Alaska before Hawaii.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Happy belated birthday Art. Hope your day was a good one...

Renee: Thanks lots for the magnets. They were great and what a surprise..

Hope everybody had a good weekend, Back to the grind again...

Wow, pretty quiet here today. Been raining here all day and very humid. Makes for a very depressing day.

Quiet here too. It's sunny but humid out. I think it's supposed to get cooler and rain later this week.

Thought I would make great progress today on the files on my desk but so far nothing seems to be disappearing. In fact my chair is now piled high with files. Desparately need a vacation from the piles of paper. :p

DS is now an 'adult'. We went out to a restaurant and got them to sing to him, give him a crown, balloon and take his picture. He was not impressed although his cousin was happy as she got to take home the balloon. Jim had no sympathy for him though as Jim related how I made him get a birthday button at Epcot last year and wear it all day.

11.5 weeks til we leave for the cruise.

Renee: Thanks lots for the magnets...they turned out GREAT!!!!
Just looking at them made me that much more excited!!!
Been raining here in NY all day also... Reguards to ALL!!!

It's raining here too
Anja has to work the lateshift today & tomorrow. I just picked her up and now I'm toasting some DVDs:p
While waiting for Anja in our car I played around with my PDA: I connected it via Bluetooth with my cellphone and went into the internet. My first stop was the DIS of course. It's painfully slow, but at least we got a possibility to check our email and stay in touch while enroute.

Allen,
I just mailed you the info concerning the dive-excursion on St Thomas.

Reneé,

Got my magnets today. Thanks! Now my back door is loaded with cruise magnets - three Mickey heads, one cruisetoberfest III and one bringing home the magic. DH says the door's going to start pointing north!

I think we all owe Reneé a drink for mailing those magnets! I know it saved you from carrying them in your luggage, but it's nice to have them now!
