Renee' - Do you have any information on how long it takes to get to the Pineapple resort? An hour each way sounds like a long time. I think I read that it was 30". I'm not sure I want to spend 2 hours in travel time. Sounds as tho you have been in contact with the staff there -- could you check the time?

Hi Jeanne...

Yes,plans changed when we decided to come in earlier...so...we will be at RonJons...

Bette

FYI,
a luxury-van from MCO to Port C and back comes at approximately $160 & tip and holds up to 10 people, but I'd recommend not more than 8 for comfort. A Loncoln Towncar is about the same. We took Tiffany the last three times and they were always punctual, friendly and clean. But there's also some links here on the DIS to sponsors of the Boards who offer transfers.

Thanks for the new list Eric. It seems that the legal parties might just be catching up the hospital parties.

Jeanneg -- at the Radisson last year we were up pretty late by the pool. (eating of course!)

Still are undecided about excursions -- DS is in trouble at school in terms of attending his classes so this has dominated the conversation for the last 2 days. Meeting with the vp tomorrow who no longer thinks it's an urgent problem so we'll see what happens. Monday it was urgent but today it isn't??

Nice and :sunny: here today and the temperature is actually ok too. We have a long weekend here this weekend but they are forecasting more rain. Here's hoping the weatherman(woman) is wrong.

Love the boats and yourselves in your signature Bettemom. Btw did you get the email I sent?

Hi Marianne,

If it's just the 2 of us, I'm going to purchase the Disney transfers and try to get on the first bus out.

Jeanne--

I agree w/you that the Disney transfers are fine for two people. However, there are 4 of us. It's much cheaper to rent a car twice (there & back) than to spend the $49 times 4.

I think I'll be staying somewhere near the airport, too--just because I won't want to drive an hour in the evening, after traveling all day.

Marianne

Thanks for the list Eric!

I am on VACATION!!!!! No work till next Monday! :Pinkbounc
Heading for Orlando as soon as DH gets off work tomorrow.

Welcome again to our new Cruisetoberfesters!:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Later, Avé

Yeah, we might become self-sufficient :hyper: We got a doc and nurses, police, legal advice, IT-people, etc. But we could need a butcher and a baker, and perhaps a brewer :teeth: But with all those Southerners I'm sure that they would take care of some moonshine :jester:

Hi Marianne,

We're in exactly the same boat. Our flight arrives at 8 pm so by the time we get our luggage and rent a car we will have missed all the activities at the Radisson or RJ. We're just resigned to meeting everyone for the first time at the terminal or sailaway party. We actually have a ressie for the Hyatt MCO but it's way more than I want to spend and will probably switch it if there's another airport hotel that some others are staying at. If it's just the 2 of us, I'm going to purchase the Disney transfers and try to get on the first bus out. If we team up with other people it might make more sense to hire a limo or town car and pool the expense. If other people are staying near the airport, please tell me where. We can always meet that evening in the lounge and have a mini-meet of our own.

Jeanne/Mariane-
I think we are going to do that same thing also. I haven't purchased plane tickets yet, but it scares me to try and fly in the same morning. Does DCL pick up you luggage if you fly the night beore? That was so convenient.
If there is a group- we might go in for a car with someone if we can cancel our DCL transfers.

I just emailed them to ask this. I'll post what they say.

They've got a luggage pick-up service in the Hyatt. DCL takes your bags directly from your hotelroom to your stateroom.
But why don't you join us at the Radisson Port Canaveral ? We'll have a great dinner at the Grills, then a party at the pool, and in the morning we'll 'raid' the Terminal in a large group - They'll never know what hit them, when 40+ people wearing the same shirts check in simultaneously
If you're interested in the Radisson, Cathy (@GoofyNut) can provide you with a code for a better price. She was able to make a great deal members of our group.

Ave and family...Have a GREAT trip to WDW!

Zapp...I have resent the e-mail to David. George e-mailed him on 5/10. Not sure why it didn't go through:confused:

I can confirm what Eric says about the Radisson! We had a wonderful time pre-cruise!It's a super way to begin the trip!

We'd love to, but our flight doesn't get in until 8pm. (I booked last night). Wish I could have gotten an extra couple of days off but that half day on Friday is probably pushing it.

Zapp -- Milwaukee Brewer fans????? How about Cub fans??? Born and bred and lived in Chicago for many, many years and we are still avid Cub fans. We watch every game we can, and what a wonderful game it was last night when we won with a home run in extra innings. Go Cubs!!!

oops....sorry about that double post.
Just wanted to warn all you baseball fans that Oct 2 is the Purdue-NotreDame Football game. Good thing this year it is at South Bend or we would not be on this cruise. If we are not at the deck party, we will be the ones wearing Black&Gold, sitting in front of the TV, yelling our lungs out! Boiler Up!

I am sure this has been posted before, but how would a party of two get their little paws on these?

Hi Jill,

When the T-shirt Logo's are finished by the designers then everyone will get an e-mail with the t-shirt logo file attached. You can then print the logo on special iron on paper and iron onto your t-shirts.

For those that are not comfprtable with doing this themselves some of us can help you with printing the iron on transfers.

Bye, Kim

Yeah, we watch the Cubs, too. However, hubby was born & raised in Kenosha--Brewers, Packers, Bucks, Badgers country.

Eric--How long would you say it takes to get to the Radisson, my flight gets in at 7:15 pm (excluding delays). I agree that it's a great start to the trip, but I don't want to be driving all night, either.

Disneybride96--Friday is pushing it for me, too. I'm hoping by then that I just won't care anymore! :snooty:
