Renee, sign us up for the mickey ears as well, If you pm me your address, I forward you some of the magnet paper.

BTW: what the other magnet?

Reneé, Love the magnet signs! Can't believe you have already started stuff for the 2005 cruise. But I guess I would be doing the same if I was going.
Eric, Congrats on #2400. But 2500 is MINE!:teeth:
Just 4 days till we head down to Orlando. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo Got the car tuned up and 2 new front tires yesterday. So we are ready to roll.
Maybe we will run into Nancy and Norm at EPCOT.
The week is going to dragggggg. The boss is leaving town on Tuesday afternoon. (She is also going to Disney.) So the work week will be light. I can get a lot of catch-up stuff done, but would almost rather be busy.
Cathy, How's AshLee?

Later,
Avé

Renee,
If you would be so kind, would you add us to the list for magnets for BOTH cruises? PM me with details...I am sure you posted it somewhere between the 2 threads, but both this and the repo thread are so huge, I am having trouble keeping up! I am impressed with you staying on top of them.

We just finished the classroom and confined water portion of our PADI scuba and I am beat! Somehow I passed, didn't freak out as much as I thought I would when I had to take my mask off under water (lost the contacts though!), and managed to spend $450 on gear for Tim and I. Keep in mind we live in Colorado....Not too much to do as far as diving goes.....But it does justify more vacations!

Jill,

Don't be too impressed. Andy (Verandahman) got me into the mood for making the magnets now. The only problem is that I've gotten more of them done for the August 2005 cruise and haven't even started on the October 2004 one!

Anyway, I just send you a PM.

Thanks,

Reneé

Renee,
you have to ask the Design-Team for the logo: Papa & @GoofyNut are the ones in charge.
But I think with 4 1/2 months to go (Less than 4 months for Anja & me :Pinkbounc :bounce: ) there's still plenty of time left.
And here's some good news for Little Haley: Steiff just launched a new line of stuffed animal especially for small kids. I guess we're gonna get her one of those.

Eric and Anja,

Haley thanks you a lot!

I know I have more than enough time to work on the magnets, but since I've been doing the ones for the August 2005 cruise, I kind of got in the mood to start on ours.

BTW - congrats on #2400!

Jill,
you're not alone with that: When we did our OWD, I spent nearly two hours after class with Anja in the hotel-pool to train that '60seconds-without-mask'-thing with her. After she had swallowed half of the pool she finally got the hang of it and next day when we did it with our instructor she did more than 2 minutes without any problems.
We haven't bought any gear apart from masks, fins, snorkels so far, but think about getting some suits.

Sign up us for the magnets too Renee. Great idea. We wear the pins you made for the last cruise every time we go to a DIS meet here and always get great compliments.

Went to the Jays games over the weekend -- they were playing Boston and ended up splitting the series. The Jays won the first and last games while Boston won the middle two. Lots of Boston fans at the games. The Skydome was open yesterday which was great -- got a bit of a tan on the one arm that was in the sun.

Hopefully going to the last physio for DS this morning. He was away with the Reserves this weekend and came home with a cold so we'll see how that goes. He wasn't too happy about it last night but he should be fine.

Read the thread about not enjoying your cruise. Agree with what you said Mary Jo -- if we don't have to cook or clean up afterwards we like the food.

Must go and get the morning started. Lily (the dog) is howling because she heard a fire truck so must get her inside as I'm sure the neighbours won't appreciate her style of wake up call.

Hi Folks,

we have new company: Colourmouse and Son of Krypton have joined our jolly bunch. I'll do an update this week. Please send you requests for changes not later than Wednesday noon EST.

Sign up us for the magnets too! I still have the "Disboard Member" one from last year and will bring it also.

I went with DD (and about 200 of her classmates) to Carowinds this weekend. For those of you who don't know, Carowinds is an amusement park in North Carolina. We had a ball, but I am always amazed how other places compare to WDW. The design of the park is very poorly thought out. BUT...a wonderful time was had by all!

Welcome to our new cruisers! Glad to have you with us!

Thank You everyone for your kind thoughts about my fur kid, AshLee. To make a long story short ... her liver enzymes are a little elevated and she may have pancreatitis. Her "Mom" is going nuts with the administration of the 6 bottles of meds but we'll get thru. I have the best Petiatrician in the state ... they called on Friday and again at 8 AM on Sunday to check on her. HEY, I know people doctors that aren't even that dedicated.

__| |__ That was me getting up on the soapbox to

just say that our DIS Family is just the best! :grouphug:

Did anyone see the "Making of the Queen Mary II" on Discovery last night .... amazing! in my humble opinion (and my DH's humble opinion) it looks so much like a larger "Magic" with the colors and style. BUT I like that the DCL has everyone equal and does not go by the "class system".

Dave and Ellen so nice to hear from you.

Gotta run ... just when I take 2 minutes the phones find out and start ringing!!!!!

Actually saw the making of the Queen Mary 2 a couple of weeks ago on our discovery network -- not sure if they are the same as in the US. Thought it was interesting but would have liked to have seen more of the cabins. Don't like the idea of different restaurants based on which cabin you have though. Went and looked at the prices to sail it and boy would it be expensive. The lower cabins look really tiny too.

Back to work.

Fiona

Howdy Gang:

I caught the Making of QM2 also, very impressive. I keep looking for a repaet of the show, but haven't come across it yet.

Renee
Love the magnets, sign me up for the two cruises. I'll be on both of them.

Hey Mid-Atlantic Disers...GOT CICADIAS?

The red eyed creatures are popping up everywhere, by the thousands.

Sue

Ok, thanks to MaryJo (Sarah'sMom from PA), I'm going to stop lurking and join this thread. The only problem is catching up!! Can anyone summarize the last 161 pages for me LOL!! We're going to be on the repositioning cruise back to FL in 2005 and they are doing all kinds of things already for that cruise. Is anything going on here? Looks like piglet33 is doing magnets here too, anything else that I've missed? Thanks.

Now that we know what's happening in 2005, I can start to focus on Antigua. It's coming up quickly!

Tracy...welcome to our group. I just replied to your email. Glad you decided to join us because this way, you will also know us (or wish you didn't!!) on the Panama Canal Cruise. All of the activities planned are strictly optional...you can do as little or as much as you want! There is a seafood brunch/lunch planned for one of the sea day (TwinAvé); St. Thomas shopping/sightseeing (bettemom); ecotour in Antigua (two foxes); the keeper of our official list (Viking); t-shirt logos (papa and GoofyNut)..there is usually a sail away party for the group on Deck 10; a group picture (if you want to go) and what did I miss??? It is just nice to go to the pool, or the movie theater and recognize someone and sit with someone if you are alone!!

piglet33 (Reneé) is doing the magnets for the PC cruise and the Antigua cruise plus she has a 2 year old and works full time!!! Talk about organized. Email me if you need any additional information!! Mary Jo

Hi Tracy -- don't think that Mary Jo missed anything. Some of us are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise and some others at Ron Jon's. We are also meeting to have dinner the Friday night before the cruise at Grills.

This is a great bunch of people! We cruised with them for the first time last year and it really made our cruise. As Mary Jo said it's nice to go somewhere on the ship and see someone you know. The CM's got to know us too since we wore the T-shirts etc.

Really humid here today and they are calling for potential thunderstorms later. Seems to go between cold (Sat) and humid (today). Maybe at some point it will settle down and just be nice, warm and :sunny:

They are working on the air system again at work so again we have no air circulation and of course no windows open. The wonders of modern technology.

Have a great day everyone.

Mary Jo - you say such nice things! You did forget one thing, though. I am doing the Pineapple Beach Day in Antigua for all those that are interested.

Here is the link:

http://www.antiguanice.com/allegro_daypass/index.html

I am going to email them today with a list of names so if anyone else is interested, please PM me with your full names.

Here's the list so far:

1. jeanniec (Jean & Sam)
2. bettemom (Bette & Kim)
3. piglet33 (Lenny, Reneé, & Haley)

Thanks,

Reneé

Reneé...we still haven't made up our mind on what we are doing in Antigua...my boss told me to make sure that we go to Nelson's dockyard and Shirley Heights so we were thinking of hiring a taxi to take us there....how do you get to the resort you are looking at? Take a taxi from where the ship docks? We might consider this as an option although I'm not much of a beach person. I will discuss it with the queen of our house (which isn't me!!) and will email you and let you know. The price is really good--are you doing the lunch package or the all day? What time do we arrive in Antigua? Thanks. Mary Jo

P.S. Sorry I forgot to post this as it was a senior moment!!

Hi Mary Jo,

Not sure if we'll do the half or the full. What do you think Bette, Kim & Jeannie? If we do the half, then maybe we can do some roaming around before we go there. Just a thought. Thank you Mary Jo for reminding me that there were two options. I totally forgot about that and was only thinking of the half day. Guess I'm having a senior moment too????

We arrive in Antigua at 8 a.m. and depart at 5:30 p.m.

The half day goes from 11am until 6pm and the full day is from 9.30am until 6pm.

Reneé
