I like the safari truck. Hopefully it will be as nice weather wise as the pictures. :bounce: Can't wait.

Kim - that tour sounds like a good one. I'm interested and will check with Lenny (he'll probably say ok).

I also found something to do that we were thinking about, but the tour above looks like it will take a while and does more.

Here is the link in case anyone wants it:

Kim...count the three of us in (just hope that it leaves us with time to shop since I love to shop for gold and beleek china in St. Thomas!!) Kim, could we maybe email them and ask them how long the tour is?? Let me know if you need money ahead of time and I will send it.

Renee'...the tramway is located almost exactly across the street from where the ship docks (anyway, that is where it docked two years ago!!).

Peter and Jenn....prayers for Shelby are being said by us--I know how heartbreaking this can be...had to put a dog to sleep seven years ago and I had Muffy before we had kids (the dog lived to be almost 17 years old and ended up having her eye removed due to a tumor that was malignant) and even though she was old, I was devastated. I said no more dogs because we get so attached to them but the next morning I was out and got another dog, my official baby, Precious!!!

I know, sometimes too many choices aren't good. ;)

Maybe if the tour Kim sent us the link to doesn't take long, then we can do the tram ride thing too. The cost of both of them is pretty cheap, which is a plus since we can spend more on the ship for bingo and drinks. :teeth:

What's everyone going to do in Antigua? I liked the Resort that Kim or Bette sent us a while ago. Been thinking about doing that.

I think Kim's tour lasts 7 hours if I am reading the website right. I think I went into Reservations or Groups and it is a 2 hour tour first, 3 hours for shopping and 2 hours at one of the beaches. A real bargain. Godfrey states the same tour thru purchased thru a ship would cost $47 each instead of $20. I can't remember St. Thomas. Last time we were there, we took the tour to St. John. Is the shopping near the dock? Could you go back on board for a while during the shopping break? I really am not that much into shopping on cruises and 3 hours of shopping is a bit too much for me. If we could get back to the ship for a couple of hours and then take off for the beach, that would really be great!

i agree. i would like to do the tour. i am not really a shopper anymore(how many tee shirts and other chachkis(?) do you need and andy is not really a beach person. I would like a basic drive around tour(even though i might have done this last time i was in st thomas) and then do the tram thing(which really sounds good).

having a bad day a work and the stress at home is making me crave this cruise even more.cant wait. ok maybe survivor/apprentice will make me feel a little better and keep me going for another week. i just love thursdays(survivor/apprentice and only 1 more day of work)

we are going to nyc to see 'chicago' for an early anniversary celebration-cant wait. i need something to smile about.

I also noticed that the tour lasted for 7 hours, but I thought that I figured it out wrong (especially since it's only $20). Maybe one of us should try to contact them to find out more about it. It does sound like a good tour, just pretty long. I don't know if Haley would sit still for that long.

Hi Guys,

Let me e-mail the tour company with several ??? / suggestions.
Perhaps we can re-arange the way the day is spent, that way people can join in or out as they want, perhaps finish the day shopping, then you can go back to the ship earlier ??

I will send them some questions and let you all know what the tour group says.

Bye, Kim

Hi Guys, I just got off of the phone with Godfrey, ( owns the tour company) and he said that if we have 20 to 26 people on the tour then we can have the Safari bus for the DAY we can organize our own itinerary, go where we want for how ever long we want to.. What is the interest out there ???

1) Bette & Kim
2) Arlene & Andy
3) Mary Jo, Sam & Sarah
4) Lenny, Renee' & Haley
5) JeannieC & Sam
6) Jenn & Peter

We are definitely interested if we don't have to spend 3 hours shopping in the middle of the day. Would anyone else be interested in doing the bus tour first, then beach, then shopping? Since I don't know where the shopping area is, if it is not within walking distance of the dock, could we be dropped off at the dock before the Safari goes shopping?

Also, I think that the day pass at the beach hotel in Antigua sounds great and reasonable, too.

Count us in too. We should definitely be able to have 20 people for this.

Thanks for checking Kim.

Kim - not sure if they'll count Haley or not since I'm not sure if I have to pay for her, so you better only count Lenny & me.

I Think We might like to go on the trip AS LONG AS THE SHOPPING WAS LAST... When we visited St. Thomas last time We walked Back to the ship From Shopping..... So it could Be an Easy Out So We Can go on the Other Sky Ride Suggested by Renee..........

i agree-i would like the shopping last.

like i said i'm not a shopper anymore and would rather tour/skyride and leave the shopping till the end. this way the shoppers can shop and whoever doesnt want to shop can do something else....

What we could work might be

( An example)

Touring / skyview lookout over the harbor / visiting other sites that everyone chooses for 1/3 of the time.

Lunch & adventure for 1/3 time perhaps swimming, beach & so on..

Shopping for the end of the day, with a set time for the Safari Jeep to return to the ship. We probably could schedule 2 times for a return to the ship during shopping, early and late.

People who did not want to shop for a few hours could go back to the ship mid afternoon.

What does everyone think about arrangeing a lunch "event" since we will be together for the day ? The tour guys could probably help with that..

How about everyone spend some time deciding on the top 3 types of things that they want to do or see on St. Thomas and the order they want to do those things, and then we can all work on an itinerary...

You can e-mail them to me if you want and I will put everything together..

Any other ideas ???

Bye, Kim

my suggestion would be:

1-safari tour
2-lunch/skyride or skyride/lunch(depending on starting time)
3-beach(who wants to be yucky and have to tour)
4-shopping

just a suggestion-any other thoughts....

Hi everyone,
Back from WDW. What a great time it was to be there....it was just a little early for most of the spring-breakers, so we pretty much had the parks to ourselves. In fact, it was so empty we hardly used fast pass for anything and there was actually one time when the standby line for TOT was actually shorter than the fast pass line.....go figure that one! I love thrill rides but Mission Space is a "been there, done that" type of experience. I didn't get sick, but did feel a little queasey afterward. Exiting the ride, most people echoed the same sentiments.

About the St. Thomas trip.......I think we'll opt out of that one. We've been to St. Thomas a few times before and have already done a complete island tour (which I would heartily recommend if you've never done it). Right now I think we'll probably exit the ship to buy our duty free liquor (you can buy ALOT in St Thomas!), walk around a little bit and then enjoy a very quiet afternoon on the ship when most everybody else is gone.
We've never been to Antigua, so we'll probably do much more sightseeing there. Can someone please direct me to the link about the Antigua beach package?

Also, still no name for the dining group......somebody please come up with something!
