WHAT A DAY!! A patient started having chest pain. 3 nitros later..STILL having pain! Time to call 911! For those that don't know..I work in an OB/Gyn office!! We are prepared for an emergency BIRTH...NOT an MI!
Then a crazy women who needs surgery came in. She wants to see whatever doctor can operate on a spacific date (because the stars are alligned in her favor). Silly me...I always pick my doctor based on SKILL! What is she THINKING???!!!
Ave, so glad your co-worker is staying
And having a way to resolve problems too!
We also have PTO, but must use 24 hours of PTO before sick days can be used. I feel the same as jeanniec re: sick time. I had about 100 hours when the "new" rules went into effect. The people who were always used up their sick time made it hard on those of us who did not abuse it. I have about 300 hours now, and while I hope I never need it, it's nice to know if I ever was so sick or hurt, that I needed to be out of work for 2 months, I would still get paid.

It started at 5am. No problem for Anja and me as we usually leave shortly before 6am. we both were at the hospital, respectively office on time. But when the rush hour really started all hell broke loose. One should think that the people are meanwhile used to it, but we had dozens of fender-benders, traffic jams and big delays.
Unfortunately this results in a later arrival at MCO: We'll touch down at 0819pm, which means that we won't be in Crystal River before midnight. Retrieving our bags, shuttling to Hertz, taking over our car and driving about 100 miles takes its time. But I guess we'll wake up when jump from our dive-boat in the morning
