I just checked out Grill's website. Thanks Mary for posted the link to it. The menu looks pretty good. Thanks Eric for posting about the coupon. I already printed it and put it in my vacation folder.

Thanks,

Hello Everyone!
We just did our taxes....and WOO HOO!!!!
We are getting enough of a refund that our cruise is paid for plus some! Anything we save over the next 9 months is SPA MONEY!!!
(we are massage addicts!)

I truely intend to introduce ourselves a little more....It is nice to meet all of you!

Susan

Only 34 weeks to go!!!!1/3 of the way there!:bounce:

Congrats Susan! In past years I also was able to pre-pay some of our excustions and our room at the Radisson ahead of time. It's much easier for us to spread the cost of the cruise and the additional expenses over 8-12 months then to pay for it all at once. My goal this year is to have everything paid for and $800-1000 prepaid on our ship board account.

Hi Guys, this is Kim here...

The food at Grills was very tasty. The portions I felt were quite large and the prices fairly low. The place does get packed starting around 4 pm, since it is the best viewing spot for the ships and a Friday night... I would be glad to check with Grills when the time gets closer and we have an idea how many are going to go, and perhaps we can reserve a space if you have a LARGE crowd for dinner/drinks.
I used the 10% discount last year and they did not even question if I was an out of towner. If you are into " blackened" food the chicken alfredo was very good and spicy.

Ave, I thought you were going to WDW this weekend ?

I like Ave's idea and will call Disney to put money down on our account so that I have no "surprise" bill at the end of the trip. We need to get our hotel reserved for Friday PM still, Hopefully I remember tomorrow, my goal is to be at the port by early afternoon and RELAX...

Well, it is time to go put the sheets on the bed and finish puttering...

Goodnight, Kim

Ummm, Kim....I think you ment MARY'S idea about pre-paying??? It's ok...people have been confusing me and Ave all our lives!::yes::

I vote we all meet at Grills at 4pm, and get the choice viewing spots.

Kim, We are going to Disney this Thursday. (2/12) Our Anniversary is 2/15. 15 years!
I have been in a panic the last few hours. My friend Pam, and her daughter Heather are now coming with us. Big surprise for the girls. Well, I went to book the room tonight(for Pam) and was told that the resort was booked. PANIC!!!!!! The Disney person told me there were NO rooms anywhere in the resort. Any Resort. Well then I went to the internet. What do you know, found a room. Called Disney back, got the room for Pam, but at regular rate, not FL discount rate. I can live with that.
Trying to do all this without letting DD know what's going on. :bitelip: :headache:
Later, Ave'

Kim, I'm the smart, pretty, nice twin!

We're also considering a short trip to Disney in spring or summer: Disneyland Paris is offering a night in a value resort plus admission for two days for €99 per person right now. They have major problems to fill the parks and the hotels and are trying nearly everything to lure guests into them.
As Disneyland Paris is only about 360 miles from Frankfurt we would drive there on a Sunday afternoon check into a motel near the parks, spend the night there, pop in at the Disney hotel a 8:30am, retrieve our passes and get into the Disneyland Park ASAP, check in at the hotel in the afternoon, see Buffalo Bill's Dinnershow in the evening, and next day it's the Walt Disney Studios and back to Frankfurt. The drive takes about 5 hours for each leg, because the Froggies have a speed limit of 80 miles on their Autobahn and additionally you have to stop 4 or 5 times to pay toll. We just have to somehow save up another 2 days of vacation as we already reserved our regular 31 days for London in March, the Baltic Sea in June and the 4 weeks in the States, but that should be manageable.
This would also mean that we could get pins or other souvenirs from Disneyland Paris to bring for the cruise.

Have fun at The World, Ave and try to make a picture of Mary when you tell her the surprise ;)
BTW, in Germany 15 years qualify you for parole :jester:

Viking-
Got the cruise list and THANK YOU! Thanks also to all of you who are continually organizing this list, it will be fun to know some (or as it seems alot) of folks on the cruise!

I am paging through some of the 72 some odd pages of this thread, trying to figure out who some of you are, but there is plenty of time for that over the next months!

Anyway, hopefully Uncle Sam will be friendly to us this year as he has been to some of you guys. I leave the taxes in the capable hands of my DH! It will be nice to have be able to have a few extra splurges on board!

Has anyone been to Antigua before?
I have been to St. Maarten & St. Thomas, but my DH has never been to the eastern carribean. I am excited about St. John too....we considered doing a camping trip to St. John, but opted for Curacao on that trip.
I can't wait to see the excursions on Antigua. I've been looking for the ones on other cruise lines, but no luck yet.

Susan

Disneybride-
I found a web site for an "eco-tour" at Antigua. I don't have the link for it here, but I know I saw it on thread on the cruise boards as well. I bet you could find it if you did a "Antigua" search here. Well, it is $90 pp, and includes snorkling, lunch and several stops...looks pretty good!

Wow lots going on , Eric thanks for the list ...

Eric we may be heading into orlando EARLIER than expected
Since this Grills thing is going on still dont know ??????

No Problem, Peter.
As we want to be at the Grill too, we will also be earlier at MCO. But if we can't share a van - Che sera, sera ;)

Susan,
I sent you the list again.

I got post #1111 :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I just booked our room at the Radisson and got a GREAT RATE! I booked via their website and got $115. per night for the KING SUITE!This is the best rate I have ever gotten at the Radisson. You must pre-pay, and the cancellation policy is pretty stiff, but I was going to pre-pay anyway, and I do NOT plan on cancelling:D .
I love having a small kitchen when we travel. I makes it so much easier to have snacks, sandwiches ect for the kids(not to mention beverages for the grown ups!)

The "Standard Room" rate with the internet rate is $85.It also requires pre-payment.

Mary,
I would like to store the Schnaps for the Sail-Away-Party in your fridge then - If our friends in Charleston and PCB leave something for the party ;) :jester:

Thanks for the list Eric. Count us in on the Grill. Menu looks good.

Slept most of yesterday -- it was great and I obviously needed the sleep although like you Renee can't really say why. I hadn't stayed up late or anything.

Did not watch the Grammy's except when I was flipping channels I did catch the problems Celine Dion had with the microphones.

Back to work this morning -- ugh. Work dinner tonight -- great restaurant with wonderful food but don't ask me the name, haven't a clue. We take our biggest client out for Christmas -- yeah I know it's February but this is the earliest it's been. The first year I was here the dinner was finally arranged for June. That was the worst I think -- me and 11 men with 2 of them getting rather drunk and oogling all the women in the restaurant. It's gotten better and this year another female will be there too and besides which the food is fantastic. You just have to place yourself right in terms of seating -- sitting next to the accountant is not good. :p

I just have to remember to clean out my car at lunchtime since I will probably be driving one of the other lawyers to the dinner. My car has the lived in look at the moment. :bounce:

Must get some work done.

Fiona,
you just have to get a convertible, too: Lower the top, drive on the highway, accelerate to 200 km/h, and lower the windows - Your interior is clean within seconds :teeth: :hyper: :jester:

To everyone:
The List is available as PDF again. If there is anyone apart from Twinave who needs the List as a PDF, just tell me.

MaryJo,
I sent the List to your home, I hope that you got it now :wave2:

Eric -- love the idea of the convertible cleaning system. :bounce:

But don't worry when we leave the cruise the van will be neat. We are more careful on vacation about keeping it clean then we are at home. We will have to clean the carpets in the spring though to get rid of the salt and yucky snow stuff. That's Jim's job though.

Cold and windy here today although we were above freezing for little bit on the weekend.

Fiona

Eric, Thanks I got the list. I hate that I'm the only one lame enough to need Adobe. Schnaps.....what schnaps?;)

Hi Everyone!

Just three days till we head to the Mouse House! :bounce:

Later, Ave':sunny:

Eric, I would be HAPPY to keep the Schnapps for you:hyper:

OK...MAJOR brain fart! I was thinking we would be able to see the Wonder dail on Friday from Grills...but she sails on Thursday and Sunday. Anyone know if any ships leave the port on Friday?

Ave, have a great time at WDW! SO glad the room situation worked out. It IS a holiday weekend and the resorts and park will be packed!
I did my grocery shopping for our weekend in Hilton Head tonight. Just 3 days of work, then we head out early Friday morning. :bounce:
