Hi Everyone!:wave2:
Busy getting ready for my trip in 2...Yes 2 days!!!!:bounce: Count them One....Two. Ok.. sorry. :(
(Just a little excited):p

Hi Art!:wave2:

GoofyNut, Got your letter today. Thanks for the Valentine! I will wear it to Disney on Sat. :lovestruc

Just got back from my in-laws house. I had to stop by and give them thier monthly B-12 injections.I was telling them about our trip, and that we were trying to hold down the cost by bringing food with us ect. But that we were going to splurg on Sunday and go for breakfast at AKL. When I was leaving my mother-in-law handed me some money and said here's something for your big breakfast. When I got in the car and opened it up it was a $100.00 bill!:hyper: Do I have a great mother-in-law or what?

Got to go dye my hair, and do laundry, so we're ready to go on Thursday.

The T-shirt and pins sound so cool! Does anyone have pictures of the ones from last year? I'll have to start thinking of something to bring from the great midwest....and no, I am not bringing any type of farm animal!

Where r u going ??????????????????? AVE

lol is the surprise still on ?????

Kathy thank u for valentine as well.....

Kim, I seem to remember there being a ship in port when we crossed the bridge on the way to the Raddison last year (on Friday). If I am correct then, at least one ship sailed that day. I will do a little research and see if I can find out.

Even if there are no ships sailing, I think it is STILL a great idea.

Eric...well said! Your web page with photos of many of us prior to the cruise was a big help! I was wondering if you will be doing this again theis year?

Yup,

so everybody please send photos, but DO NOT send them to the regular cruise-account as this won't hold large files. Please send them to cruisetoberfest2@aol.com which is large enough to 'digest' the pics. The pics should not exceed a size 300x300, I'd prefer to get the pics in JPEG format. If you do not know how to shrink your pics, just send them and I will do everything for you. I'll build the page during the Easter-holidays to give you time to send your pics.
Mary & Ave: No need for pics from you. You surely remember my underwater-camera? I'll have plenty of pics from our snorkeling excursion :teeth: :jester:
I assume that everybody who was on last year's homepage and is cruising again wants to be on this year's site as well - If not, shout out loudly ;)

Family-pics or group-pics are preferred to save space. So please use i.e. the DC-meet to shoot a group-pic for display on the site.

Hi there! I see I have a LOT of reading to do, but thought I'd join in. We booked while on the 4 day Wonder last October 5th (our first cruise). We loved it so much, that we're trying our first 7 day trip. It's me, my DH37, my DS13, DD10, and DD6. We stayed in a Cat. 4 last time, but we're trying 2 Cat. 11's this time for the extra space, less money, and onboard credit. Can't wait!
Laura

Eric please use the picture or any picture u might have
since the virus i had to reinstall windows and do noyt have any pictures any more.......

Welcome Laura and family!!! Glad you could join us. We are in a category 11 and expect no problems. More money to spend on other things is more important to us than having a window -- besides I'm afraid if we got a window or verandah that we'd never go back.

Viking has a list and if you email him your info he'll send you a copy of the list that gives you some information about all of us.

Can't wait til October esp as I drove to work through snow flurries today.

Back to work.

Fiona

cdnmickeylover: Thanks for the info and welcome! Is there a thread or site I need to go on to put in my info for Viking? Thanks!
Laura

welcome laura...

andy an i are in a cat 10 which is fine for us.the only reason we like this category is because of the split bath. otherwise the cat 11 would have been good enough. i also feel that if we went to a window or better we would never go any other way..besides who spends that much time in their room.... except for jim and his daily nap right fiona...

arlene

He's a cranky man when he misses his nap!! You are so right Arlene. We are going to stay up this year though and watch Andy!!!

Laura -- the email addy is antiguaorbust@yahoo.com The information that's on the list is your real name, location, occupation, ages, stateroom number, special ocassion if any, and where you'll be the night before the cruise. Some of us are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise and others are staying at Ron Jon's Caribe resort. Some of us are also planning a dinner out at The Grills the night before the cruise.

Although there are activities that will be planned you don't have to participate in any or all of them although we'd certainly like you too!!

Please don't be intimidated by the size of the thread or that some of us know each other. We didn't know anyone before we sailed with them last year and I can vouch for the fact that they are a very friendly group and we had a great time -- really added to our cruise.

Fiona

Hi, Laura! Welcome to the group. I am new to this group also altho this will be our 3rd DCL cruise. We are neighbors -- we live in Charlotte. There is also a couple from Raleigh going on the Antigua cruise. Can't think of anyone else from NC yet. Look forward to meeting you.

 Welcome Laura ... I'm sure you will meet at least some new friends with this bunch. It will be a lot easier once you get your info to Eric .. The Viking and then get a copy of our list. Sure makes it a lot easier to get to know our "family".

My DSIL (Hi Marilou) is sailing in March on another line .... wish I was her cause this cold is realllllllllllllllllllllllllllly getting to me. I want sun and fun and I WANT IT NOW!

OK ... I'll get off my soap-box now!

Back to work ...............

Hi Laurarn,
as Keeper of the List I'd like to welcome you to our bunch of jolly cruisers.
Please send your info to antiguaorbust@yahoo.com to receive the complete list of your fellow DIS-cruisers. Your mail should contain:
-First name, age, profession of everybody in your party
-Stateroom#
-Dining session (Main or Late)
-Hometown and state
-Place to stay before the night of the cruise (We have parties planned in the Radisson and in the Ron Jon)

I'll do an update of the List as soon as I have received your mail -

Hi guys, this is Kim here...

I saw this post on another topic and look what I found.. Our disers group is being talked about again. Of course this person did not quite have their facts correct..

Bye, Kim

P.S. Peter, did you get the e-mail I sent you a few days ago for the lanyard pouches ?? PLMK.

Pre-booking Palos for other cabins?

"On our cruise in October there was a group of Dis'ers that booked a reservation at Palos 2 seperate times for over 50 people so I know that this is possible. They were all there the day we had our brunch reservations. I would just keep asking until they accomidate you."

I also watched Ghost Ship last week, actually I watched it twice, :scared: the first time I had to turn it off after the swimming pool scene, the next time I saw it I saw it to the end, howver I am with Anja, if we see anyone boarding with heavy wooden boxes we throw them overboard quick...

Bye, Kim

Have not seen Ghost Ship and probably won't as I have a tough time with horrors. Usually end up with bad dreams afterwards.

Kim -- went and looked at the thread about Palo. Interesting how everything seems to get reported wrong. The really funny part of it is that WE didn't end up happy about the entire reservation process and so won't be returning at all. (or at least Jim and I won't) I'd rather play bingo!!

Fiona

Kim,
I haven't realized that until now: You're Irish!!

Here's my favourite Irish-German joke:
What do you get when you mix Irish and German?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I look forward to meeting all of you. I already emailed my info to the list. Do we get a list or is there somewhere we could see it?
JeannieC-We're not too far from you. We're in Mooresville.
Take care,
Laura

Hi Laura,
I got your mail and will do an update ASAP - Probably Friday night and will then send you -and everybody- The List as a Word-document. I already suspected that another nurse found our group due to LauraRN . Nurse is the most common profession among our group. My wife's also one, working at the orthopedic ward in Frankfurt's (Hope this answers your question ;) ) second-largest hospital. Do you speak our language? I know that many Americans lived a very secluded life in Germany with no need to learn the language, but there are also a lot of exceptions. BTW, we live in a former American housing area right in the heart of Frankfurt.

OK, gotta catch some Zs now, we have to get up at 5am as Anja has to work the early shift starting at 630am.

PS: I'll send you the last edition of the List right now as you seem to be very eager to know more about the rest of the gang ::yes::
Looking forward to meet you in less than 8 months.
