Things are really bad at Sam's plant--they laid off another 100 people right before New Year's--last year the plant had 1496 employees and the same time this year, they are down to under 750. Sam is about 75th in seniority so he is ok for now but there is talk of shutting down the plant in spring. [/B][/QUOTE]
Hi Everyone, This is Kim here...
I always thought that with a new year things were to get better, right now things are not too great...
1) The contractor renovating our house has been MIA for 4+ months, the siding is down and the green waterbarrier is up and that's it ! NO SIDING, it is all in the garage...
2) Little health issue that is sending me to Mass General Hospital to see a specialist there for treatment. ( thanks Ave' for your help)
3) We won our property lawsuit with the " idiot" neighbors but now we can't collect on the money it cost us, since the lawyer will cost more that the money we spent ! ( many thousands)..
4) The owner of my laboratory informed me yesterday that we will most likely be shutting the doors the end of this month... Our customers love us but we are not making enough $$$.
So, if anyone knows of any fun jobs let me know. If anyone would like to join a house siding party for a weekend in late march / early April, come on down/up/over... this will be on the job training for all of us.
More than anything mom & I need the cruise in October, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can still come.
Time for me to end the pity party,

Happy B-day Nancy, Peter & jenn have a great vacation, wish I was going too...
Bye, Kim
