We were first timers at Shutters (sit down restaurant at CBR).
We must have arrived just as they were opening. We did not have ADRs and there was plenty of available seating.
Our food was SUPER prompt. It took less time to get our food than it did our bill!
First we were given a small loaf of WARM bread.
Gotta love that. Tasted like sourdough bread. Very hard crust, but soft inside. It was difficult to even cut with a sharp knife.
DH ate their Prime Rib, which had Shutter's potatoes underneath.
I ate for an entree an appetizer -- Coconut Shrimp that came with a mango slaw. (5 large shrimp with the slaw in the middle of the plate.)
I also ordered a side of the Shutter's Potatoes. And I found a NEW WDW love.
The potatoes were SO GOOD. I will go back just for those.
If I ate one meal consisting of a bowl of Beer Cheese Soup from Big River Grill and an order of Shutter's potatoes, I could die happy.
DH said the Prime Rib was good. He added it was not the most tender he has ever eaten, but the smoked flavoring made it different and good.
He ate one of my shrimp with the mango slaw on it and thought that was very good too.
I was expecting a dipping sauce for the shrimp and even asked the server if there was one. But I was told the mango slaw goes with the shrimp.
The shrimp was good, but sweet too, and not greasy. With the coconut and slaw the shrimp could not be tasted. But if you like toasted coconut, you will LOVE Shutter's coconut shrimp. It was good, and if in the mood I would order it again.
Overall the place was cheery, clean, and the service was good. We will return. Many items on their food court looked pretty tasty too.
