10:00 FP Safari & 10:45 ADR TH - ok or too close?

Is there likely time to get to a TH ADR at 10:45 if we have a 10:00 Safari FP?

You can enter the Safari line at 9:55. Tusker house is right next door so odds are you'll likely make it with a little time to spare.

Never know though if an animal might block your path and you wind up having to sit there and wait. But you should be fine and you can always show up a few minutes late to your ADR

I would say you are cutting it a little close. Even with the FP you might be waiting 10 minutes to get into a jeep. You very well might make it but I personally would feel a little rushed. You might have better luck than me, but if this was my game plan there would most definitely be an animal that decides to camp out in the middle of the road and delays our moving forward

Keep trying to modify the FP+ to an earlier time. Even 5-10 min on that will give you better breathing room.

Is it very important to you that you have the breakfast selections available? If so, I would be more nervous than if I didn't have a preference for breakfast over lunch. If you are late (or even right on time) to check in, you may have to wait for a table and may end up seated once they have fully switched over to lunch. If that doesn't matter, then no big deal obviously. But if you are hoping to eat breakfast food, I'd try to get to the restaurant to check in earlier than 10:45 so you have that available and would try for a slightly earlier FP window.

Thanks all. I can’t make FP until next month but trying to plan the AK day with little backtracking. So hoping FoP FP at 9:00 (it’s EMH so if we don’t RD then no chance of stand by without a wait). That would mean Safari no earlier than 10:00 unless we can move it on the go...unlikely with 9 people.

I may risk it and call TH if we get stuck with an animal in the road!

Once you check in at FoP,don't know if you have to wait till after the 2nd mickey, check fastpasses to see if you can change Safari to earlier Or you might be able to get on faster with standby.

Would you consider doing Pandora last instead of first? So a FP for afternoon or early evening instead of first thing in the morning? Then you could start going the opposite direction - DinoLand, then Asia, then Africa for your TH reservation and the safari, then Discover Island, then Pandora? Are you able to attend the EMH? If so, you could probably do most of the other lands before your TH reservation. Not sure what your other plans are for the park, but that wouldn't be backtracking, just starting going in the other direction.

Theoretically the timing will work, but in many cases, FP+ on the hour can be tricky to get. If you can't get a 9:00 am, on the dot, FoP FP+, it's going to throw your entire morning timing off. I agree with DIS_AWC. Why not do FoP later in the day and even make safari your first FP+ around 9:45 am instead? You could always do other things at opening that don't require a FP+ and then head over to Africa for safari and TH.

It’s such a puzzle! I can look at that option...trying to make Kali last in case kids are soaked.

Close but your other option might be to ride the Safari right at park opening without a FP and a short wait. Now with pandora that is what draws a large portion of the rope drop people. I recall we did the safari at rope drop, new years day, we didn't run to get there and we had probably a 10 minute wait if that.

Agree that it is very unlikely to get the FOP FP for 9:00 exactly and to get KS at 10:00. But, if your goal is to ride NRJ, FOP and KS before 10:45 TH ADR, I think that is very doable. If you can get the FOP FP for anytime before 9:30, then rope drop NRJ, then FP for FOP. If you are done with both before 10am, then go ride KS standby. If not, pick up KS as 4th FP for later.

Not likely to stay all day. Coming from Poly with 4 kids under 6 yo. No midday resort break. We could have made RD with regular park hours but not likely with AM EMH. So that’s the motivation for a 9:00 FP.

I think I'd still try to do Pandora last. Say you arrive by 8:30, head over to DinoLand first, then walk up to Asia and ride EE (if interested) and KRR (probably wouldn't need a FP for the first hour of park time, but you could set your first FP for this), then walk the Maharajah trek so kids can dry off, head over to Africa to check in for your TH reservation, then ride the Safari with FP at a time like 11:45-12:45 or something like that, so you can be in the window as soon as your TH meal is done), if you plan to see Lion King show, you could do that next or head up to Rifiki's if you plan to do that. Then spend some time in Discovery Island before heading over to Pandora with afternoon FoP FP. Something like that could work, obviously not knowing all of the specifics of what you are hoping to see and do with your whole party.

I wouldn't count on this one anywhere. There were several times at different rides and parks, we tried at 6 and 7 min out and the light stayed RED.

You can scan up to 5 min early, and 15 min late and it'll let you in. Anything prior or after that then it's up to the CM's discretion.

I once tried scanning into ToT and I was 6 min early instead of 5 so I had to wait about an extra 30 seconds

We did a full 10 minutes at one, and about 7 minutes at another and it was green. No CM intervention. I was surprised but figured we were there so we’d try it.
