1 Year to SAVE!!!

I have no idea if someone's already mention the smartphone apps but there are several that pay and are free:

Field Agent (icon is orange with a white tie)- iphones only, pays cash to paypal
Wereward (icon is a flying pig) - android and iphone, pays cash to paypal once you hit $10
Checkpoints (icon is a little yellow bubbly guy)- android and iphone, pays in giftcards to various places, I like the Amazon ones

We're at:
over $600 on field agent since July on DH's iphone (I don't have an iphone)

$40 in Amazon GC's between DH and I together on checkpoints, he started in July, I didn't start until Aug...it's a slow earner but it's pretty easy.

over $400 on Wereward between DH and I, again he started in July and I didn't start until Aug. I'm his referral so that helps push his earnings up too.

If you and your DH just did the wereward app, you could easily hit $1k in a year.

Ok.... This is NOT MUCH at all, but something is better than nothing!!!

My mom gave the kids her change from her laundry room... so we are up to

$61.19 Total

We'll get there! S...L...O....W.....L.....Y :)

I need to figure out how much next years trip will cost & do the break down like most of you are doing :) BUT I was at a work conference this week & won a $75 Visa gift card. I'll put that right in the Disney fund :) :thumbsup2

Newbie here, but I thought this was a great thread. This may have been already said, but if you have a Half-Priced Bookstore near you, they buy books, CDs, DVDs, and even some magazines. I recently sold some old books that I will never read again and got $15. Then I took all the CD's that I never listen to and used iTunes to put them all in my library in case I would ever want the songs again. The used CD's brought me another $35. Not bad for stuff that was just sitting around the house anyway.

How Fun! I am going ot join in!

We are going October 2012. There are four of us my DH and my 2 DS...ages 4 and 1 at the time.

So far we have saved:

$764.00
and we just received a $100 Visa gift card from Comcast :banana:

My total so far is $864.00.

Only $4000 more to go! :rotfl2:

Sigh...

Okay, today was grocery day, budget was $100 and I spent only $85. I also had $2 left from something else this week so, I have $17 to go into my Disney fund this week.

Goal: $1000
Former Balance: $841.80
Saved this Week: $17.00
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New Balance: $824.80
Our Craigslist items aren't moving. :sad2: We are trying to sell a motorcycle and a touring bag that goes on the back of a bike... At least Christmas is coming, so we will have some extra $ to put in the fund when we get cash from friends and family for Christmas.
Me too! I've started saving for our trip next Oct. 2 years so far of Disney Visa rewards- about $275. Doing various survey sites for Disney cards- had $350 but couldn't help using $200 for Disneyland Mickey's Halloween Party tickets a couple weeks ago. (my bad...);)
I have gift cards for at least 1 Landry's rest. (Rainforest or T-Rex)
Right now I have about $130 in surveys that I have not yet cashed out.
I am trying to find a Disney Resort through DD's timeshare (I may need some pixie dust:wizard:)
We will be (hopefully) doing YES program classes for both grandkids- and tickets through there.
I almost paid off Disney visa so that I have that in case a resort comes up because I'll have to pay in full.
I'll be getting a good tax refund to pay that off with.
Once we are sure about where we are staying, I can really get serious.:goodvibes
So how the heck did you have $350 at survery sites? which one? I've been doing the Quick rewards thing & it's taken me 2 weeks to get $10!!!
:welcome:
Good idea on the books....that's something I really need to look into. The pile on my living room floor is taking over.
Took a pretty decent jump in my total this week :) :banana: Managed to shove another $139.40 in there largely due to a monthly cheque I get that by mutual family agreement goes to vacations if nothing else is looming on the financial front :)
So now I'm at $422.40 with only $2077.60 to go!! :thumbsup2
:cheer2:wow you guys are doing great!
so far in the past 4 weeks i have saved $440 i will also be earning a little bit of intrest on this money in May :goodvibes wow that sounds far away.
so 3,600 left to save by Oct 2012 :)
So how the heck did you have $350 at survery sites? which one? I've been doing the Quick rewards thing & it's taken me 2 weeks to get $10!!!
I started Quick rewards in July and got $50 withen 6-7 weeks I now have enough for another $50. This one is the quickest for me.
I've been doing My Survey for years- it's slow but you are paid whether you qualify or not- and I get some good product tests on and off- just sent for $50 reward. I've been getting $50 Walgreens cards each time I get that much and buy the $50 Disney cards with those. This is where I'e gotten most so far.
Inbox dollars is a bit slow, but almost have another $50 with them.
Also when our Fry's (Kroger store had 4X fuel points, I took $100 cash out of my vacation money, bought a Disney gift card to save, and got .40 cents off a gallon when my tank was empty. My Titan holds 25 gal.:eek: Made my daughter follow in her car so I could fill her tank too as she's out of work.
My DD has all the rebates and all the great deals and money makers figured out, so we've saved alot there too.
Yard sale before it gets too cold. I made a bit over $200 last month in one day.
The last yard sale we had, I sold a dining set and lots of household items.I made around $600, plus I sold $200 worth of gold to a guy who comes by with a scale around here to buy. Also, I made $100 plus taking kids toys,bike,and clothes to a consignment sale.
Too cold here for a yard sale already...BUT I had some rubbermaid bins that were empty in the basement, so I've started putting stuff in there as I go thru the house for a spring yard sale. Our trip isn't until July. I have to have the $2300 paid off in April, so I thought I could use the yard sale to fund the extra money from April till July.
The rewards surveys just take soooo much time, I'm pluggin away whenever I have time, I must just be doing it wrong!
This week is going to be a non save week for me. dd's 12th birthday is Friday & she's having 15 girls sleepover so my food budget will be blown!
WAHOO! 2 of my 3 items sold on ebay = for a grand total of $270! I am so thrilled right now! :cool1::cool1:
closer & closer every day....
________
1097.87 left to save
$ 4300 needed for July
________
$4119.20 left to save
$520 saved
$3480 left to go :)
Everyone is doing such an awesome job!!! I have one more thing to buy at the grocery store but then I will be able to put some of my savings in the jar! I started with $95 this week instead of $100 cause thats how much cash I had left from when we went to the Saints game last night.
A little bit more for the Mickey jar for me today. We went Christmas shopping today. We got EVERYTHING purchased and came $11 under budget! :banana:
Goal: $1000
