1 Year post-cancer.....deluxe dining...post plastic surgery long weekend! YEAH!

Fingers crossed here too for a code. I never had any luck at all so I was FORCED to buy DVC. Three times.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you for a discount when you call tomorrow. Hope it works out. And, about resorts - do what you feel comfortable doing. I have enough trouble spending my money - it's much easier to spend someone else's!

SORRY it has taken me so long to post! I had my plastic surgery and it was tougher than I had planned. I am still in a bit of pain but I am really looking forward to going to WDW. It means so much to me!

I decided (booked and paid) for the following:

Arrival Saturday night (LATE!) with a one night $78 preferrerd room at POP. We are going to roll in to disney about 8 p.m. Check in and then head to the Grand Floridian for dinner at Narcoosees. This one will be out of pocket as my dining plan does not start until Sunday morning.

Sunday: Check in to All Star Music Family Suite! I went with the more expensive room because I am still healing and really wanted to assure myself that I would be comfortable and getting some quality sleep. The queen bed and two bathrooms will be really nice. Having two televisions will allow me to watch television if I have trouble sleeping without disturbing the kids.

I booked the disney deluxe dining plan! Here are our dining ressies:

Sunday:
Hollywood Studios
Lunch: Sci-Fi Cafe
Dinner: Yachtsman Steak House early then head to Fantasmic!

Monday:
Epcot for opening
Lunch: Coral Reef Cafe

Dinner at Citricos and then the Very Merry Mickey Christmas Party:cool1: I can park at the Grand Floridian and we can monorail to the party!

Tuesday:
Animal Kingdom for opening
Lunch: Tusker House
Evening at Epcot
Dinner at Japan

Wednesday:
Pick a park!
Lunch to be decided. We will have one dining credit left.

I plan to have snack for breakfast at the food court before heading to the parks.

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like so much fun! Congratulations on your cancerversary! That is awesome and definitely a time to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I read about your AJ. He is and will continue to be in my prayers! I am so glad he is doing well with his treatment. Much LOVE!

Your food choices sound good. I love Citricos and think it's one of WDW's hidden gems as it doesn't seem to be one of the more overrun signatures. I thought the GF parking only allowed 3 hours though so I'm not sure if you are going to have time to eat and go to the party while leaving your car there; I guess it depends on how strict they are with that time limit.

And VMMCP, it's my favorite of all of the extra activities they have. You are going to have so much fun.

Maureen - I hope you have a wonderful, magical trip!! You are dining at many of our favorites! DH insists that we return to Narcoosee's, and we both agree that Yachtsman was fabulous! Citrico's was also terrific, but the others outshined it just a bit. ;)

Gosh, I never thought about a time limit on parking.:scared1: We will definately be more than three hours. I will look into it!

Thanks! Hope your mom is hangin in, she is always in my prayers! I am really excited about Yachtsman.....the menu is fabulous!:worship:

I can't wait to hear how great it is and I'm glad you went with the upgraded room. I'm sure you'll be more comfortable. I love to be pampered on vacations, I'm with you on the nicer rooms & eats! You definitely deserve it.

I forgot to tell all my code good wishers that I had absolutely NO codes next to my name. Nada. I guess disney knows I am a sure thing code or no code!:goodvibes

I have never gotten a code either. I think you are onto something regarding the "sure thing" aspect of it. Oh well, there is magic just in going.

I had to read back a bit to see where you had left off and ended up seeing the old post about checking on the code. :scared1: I can't believe you didn't have one. Disney doesn't realize they had me at hello.:rotfl: We weren't even out of MCO last year and I knew that trip wasn't going to be a one time thing. But, I'm glad they offered one, nonetheless.
I hope you are doing well. I hope that by the time you get to Disney that everything is pretty much healed up. You certainly should take advantage of any and all pampering you can get!!!:cloud9:

Hope you are continuing to recuperate.

Your trip sounds wonderful and you've made some great dining choices. Looking forward to hearing about Narcosee's. I think DH and I might try that on our next trip whenever that is since our boys will be older and we can leave them alone. Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

Hi everyone! I am back...it was a great four days and of course I am trying to plan my next vacation there...a short weekend in January and then a week in May/June. We'll see how the economy goes, etc.

The deluxe dining plan was amazing but so much WORK! I am glad we did it but won't do it again unless its for a short visit with just my husband. My nine year old grew very weary from eating out so much and I have to admit that there was a night or two that I would have preferred pizza by the pool or a quick service meal. That said...the food was amazing. My favorites were Narcoosees and Yachtsman Steakhouse. Narcoosees we did off the plan the first night we got there. It was uber expensive but so DELICIOUS! I am still dreaming of the scallops and chedder rissotto from the Yachtsman! I will post reviews later!

The All Star Music Family suites were amazing. We loved our stay there, had a few snafus that were dealt with in true disney customer service style. I will write more later.

I LOVE DISNEY!:goodvibes

Welcome home! Looking forward to hearing about your trip. I hope the snafus weren't too bad.
