Hi friends! Been lurking a while to get some tips on our upcoming trip but I thought I'd take the opportunity to register, say hello, and ask a couple questions.

Next weekend (22nd through 27th actually) we will be heading to Disneyland Resort for a big celebration - our first born's 1st birthday!

So what's the park like? Aside from Nemo... how are the waits?

More importantly... do any of you have suggestions for where to hold the official b-day party? We want to do it inside the park... just sit down somewhere with a little desert or something and light his 1 year Pooh candle (we already have it picked out heh). Nothing too big... maybe a present to make it official but since we have to haul everything in and out it will be what we can carry.

Really looking forward to this trip. Here's a pic of the honorable birthday boy:
(well it looks like my post count is too low to do that... oh well)

Do you know about the birthday buttons at City Hall? He's still so little so I would pick a restaurant that you enjoy. Wait till he's older and then do a Character Meal.

How many posts do I need to prove I'm not a nefarious person looking to snipe unscrupulous pictures/links upon people?

I looked in some of the board FAQs etc but didn't see the answer immediately... there's obviously a flood of information including the acronyms everyone seems to use :)

Look at mine. I have been registered since 1999 and have hardly posted. I switched providers and couldn't remember my login info. Finally went through all the passwords I have used over the years and also all the user names.

Have fun at DLR. Your son may get some free tortillas over in DCA if they see his birthday button-not everyone gets them!

I love the Birthday celebration at Dsineyland. He won't remember it but you will have a cool picture with Mickey and Minnie with his birthdate + 1 year. Each "party attendee" gets to decorate a birthday cake and enjoy some singing and dancing.

If this link doesn't work, just search birthday on the disneyland website. You can also get a Birthday Bucket which has a little beanie doll of sorcerer Mickey and you can request these at most of the full-service restaurants.
