1 year old and sleeping at Disney??

We went when my DS was 1 and used the hotel crib - it was metal and way smaller than a regular crib and he ended up smashing his head on it multiple times with tiny bruises. He would not sleep in the PNP when we tried to switch. There was a lot of tossing and turning and it just was not a good experience for him.

Live and learn right?

We have rented a crib each trip since. Money well spent. It's actually not expensive at all. This year we are using Kingdom Strollers for our DD, DS is now big enough for a bed!

Good luck! :)

We are taking a trip when our youngest will be a little over a year. My worry is...will he sleep in the pack n play? He only will nap in his crib at home and never sleeps anywhere else except sometimes the car. Should I plan on ordering a real crib?

What were your experiences? I just want to make sure he sleeps good.

Also, I'm assuming he will still be on 2 naps a day. So should I only go back to the room for one nap and let him fall asleep in a ride or stroller for the other???

Thanks for any help. I'm a type A planner and this is making me nuts!!

My daughter slept in a pack and play for our cruise and when we did an overnight for her first birthday. She loves Disney (she's been going since she was 3 months) and she didn't want to sleep at first! But we finally got her to sleep at 10pm or so every night! If they're tired enough, they will sleep.

If you're going at a time of year with moderate temps, stroller napping is probably ok. If it's August and you're not from around here, go back to the room for a nap. It gets nasty hot during the summer.

We took our son when he was 11 months and stayed at BWV. We requested a crib and he slept in that. The crib was smaller than a full sized crib, but he slept in it without any problems. He was still doing 2 naps a day at that point, so we made sure that we took him back to the room for at least one nap per day. He's a sweaty kid and we were there in June so we wanted to be sure he got a break in the AC. The other nap was usually done in the stroller.
