1 week until next round of incentives. Will it be a trick or treat?

I felt like the last round of incentives in September was pretty underwhelming. Interesting how short the current promotion period was. So next Tuesday, on Halloween when the new incentives are released, will DVD have a trick or treat for us? I would love to add on at Riviera, but was hoping for better incentives. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a treat!

I’m also very curious! I reached out to our guide today to ask him to send me the new info next week. He got back to me and referred to it as the Holiday offer so fingers crossed it’s good!

I hope the economist(s) on staff see the effects of interest rates and the economic factors that is pointing towards a tough time for consumers coming up. Sell as much as they can before having to in retrospect "fire sale" VGC. Not that I would be complaining as a DVC buyer but as a DIS holder, its just good business to sell as much as possible for as high as possible before a lean period.

I've made it well known I'm in the market for RIV on here but yeah, this last set of incentives was somewhat disappointing. I hope DVC puts on a sale like they did for VGF to move some RIV inventory. Fortunately I'm not in a rush to get points as the 11 month window I'm aiming to get points for is nearly 7 months away but what can I say, I'm impatient

All tricks until ‘24 when they grow their actively selling property list. RIV has no conpetetion now and dvd has no other legacy properties they need to blow out so they can stay true to their restricted sales so don’t expect anything good until poly tower hits the market.

For some reason I want a sweet deal on Riv points, but I’m very very not in the market for more points right now. (That’s what they all say!)
im Wondering if the best Riv deals are behind us, or will new resorts spur better incentives? If so, now or after holidays, hmmm. (But seriously, I’m not buying points now !! )

Hopefully with the advent of Poly Tower and CFW, it'll a light a fire under their.. ..to sell some RIV points.

Are we expecting VGF's incentives to get worse or stay about the same? I know we're all hoping for RIV to get a little better but I don't think any of us expect VGF to improve at all from here on out 🤔

Personally I hope they’re not that great for VDH. I literally dream of owning there, but sincerely need to pay off my existing 300 points which will be by Feb 1. I keep telling myself there’s absolutely no reason to rush to buy.. none..zero. But… I want it 😂😂
Same. I’ve picked up 576 points this year (more than half direct) and I have at least 50 more than I can reasonably justify…but if we got a fire sale at VDH or Poly Tower (and it’s part of PVB) I doubt I could resist another 100 or so.

After selling 180,000 direct VGF points in September, DVD has about ~190,000 VGF points left to sell. I wouldn't expect incentives to get better from here on out; it'll likely be a "sold-out resort" before the end of the year.

I bought in September but decided to take Disney’s free money and stretch out payments until December to get an extra few months in my treasury bill accounts. 🤑 I assume they are going to have very strong VGF numbers in Oct/Nov/Dec as others like me close their deals.

Oh dang I didn't realize it was that close. Probably will become worse if that's the case then IMO

I was told prices are going up by my guide a few days ago. Not sure if this was said just to get me to buy.

I bought some direct points yesterday with intention to cancel within the 10 days window if there are any better offers. If prices go up then it is a win either way.

If prices don't go though up I will probably look for a new guide - need somebody who is 100% fact and 0% fiction.

I don’t think we will see much in the way of VGF incentives and I even think they may declare it “close to sold out”

I think they have sold enough in the past few months to move it away from being an “active selling” resort.

I also don’t think we will see any great changes in the RIV incentives either.

Sometimes they can go up for the number of points you are buying but could be a bit better for higher levels.

That happened to me and I added on more! Guides also know you have 10 days from signing to legally back out too.

You don’t mention resort..VGF or RIV…or something else?

I was looking at a few different resorts and the way it was quoted sounded like a blanket increase.

If that's the case and he/she didn't cite a specific date of increase it just sounds like a sales tactic although generally yes, the prices will continue to increase over time.
