1 wdw splurge?

We haven't used them yet, but we're using Tiffany town car.
We used Tiffany Town car once for our family of 5 as it was almost the same cost as Mears bus. It was wonderful and the kids were so thrilled! Enjoy your trip! ❤️

I'm super excited because one of my biggest splurge wishlist items is to visit Takumi Tei, and it's looking like my friend and I are going to take the dive and do it when we visit in May! Otherwise, I want to do a Keys to the Kingdom tour one day, but this upcoming trip likely will not be when that happens.

The private fireworks cruise was amazing. Great view, piped in music, and zero stress with the crowds after the fireworks.
Do they just tell you the pick up spot for the cruise, or is there an option to choose from which resort you'd like to be picked up from?

The Illuminations cruise was always from the Yacht club so I would imagine it would be similar for other firework cruises

My only splurge is not an event. It is staying in the tower (facing the park) of the Contemporary resort. I've wanted to do that since I first stepped foot on WDW property in 1983. It was $40 per night back then, if I remember correctly which was only $15 a night higher than what I paid for an Econo-lodge just offsite. By today's standards that was a great bargain. But back then it was an unreachable number and way over budget.

Private fireworks cruise! For us it cost just about the same as if we had done a dessert party or group fireworks cruise. We have gone as a family 3 times and done the cruise twice (once a group of 7 once 5) and the cruise is worth every penny. Haven’t done the Epcot one but MK is amazing with going around the lagoon, watching the water parade, snacks it’s great. And by the time you walk back to MK to leave from there most of the fireworks crowd have cleared out. Bonus if you are staying deluxe and can take the cruise then go to the park for extra evening hours!

Every time I go, I always say I am never going to do the dessert party.. and then of course I always do.

It is a mental thing.

I went one year and left the dessert party area for a better view cause Main St wasn't very full lol

Something calming about knowing I don't need to show up early and can walk in 5 mins before and still see the show. It still boggles my mind why people go there 45 mins early when you don't need to.

If there is an after hours event while I am on vacation, I always splurge on that. Makes a previous dedicated park day not as stressful

Wild Africa Trek would be up there, too - but I admit - I would not do that solo again.
Curious why. I always travel solo and was considering doing it on my trip in August.

There's the snack part towards the end at a pavilion. On MY trip - it was almost all couples - and while 2 older couples chatted with me briefly, most folks wanted to be by themselves and that was a bit of a lonely time. I dine solo regularly at WDW and that's fine, this time I just felt left out during that part. Overall - I am glad I did it and would give it a thumbs up.

Gotcha. Thanks.
