Ok, after just returning from our latest Disney family vacation this week I was begining to feel a little sad and wanted to do something to lift my spirits so I thought what better way of doing that than planning our next vacation.

Now, although I'm not a Disney newbie(I've been over twenty times) but I am some what of a newbie when it comes to staying on property. We usually rent a vaca house and it wasn't until last September did me and my husband have the chance to stay on property for our anniversary and 30th birthday trip without our girls. We were talking about going next year and the possibility of staying on property to show our girls Disney's magic at it's highest level. My husband is fine with us staying at CSR(that's where we stayed in Sept.) but I thought perhaps we could stay there and another one. I've heard such good things about the Poly and we've been there several times as a family for dinners at O'hana's and the Poly dinner show but we've never stayed there. Now we could never afford to stay the entire time but I thought our last two night could be spent at the Poly.

My question is when I call Disney to book the ressie do I pay for one night reservation at CSR and then another for the Poly or just the first night at CSR? I just want to know before calling so I'll know how much I need to book?

First let me say you will LOVE the Poly :cool1: :cool1:. We had our first stay there in September and it was absolutely wonderful :dance3:. Now on to your question.....if you're booking room only, you would have to pay one night's deposit for the CSR ressie and then one night's deposit for the Poly ressie. I believe they are considered 2 separate ressies, but I'm sure someone will come along with the correct info if I am wrong :confused3.

Thanks so much, I figured as much; just didn't want any surprises.

That is correct -- it is considered 2 separate reservations so they want 2 deposits up front.

We've switched resorts 3 times and loved it -- we feel we get to experience twice the magic this way.

If you book a package I dont know what they do -- we've never booked a package before.

Booking a package would also be 2 separate reservations and would require a ticket purchase for each stay.

We are doing 2 resorts with our next stay and I am so excited. Actually 3 as we are planning on flying in later in the day so will be staying in the family suites at ASMU. We will spend the majority of our days at the Poly one of our favorite resorts then 2 days at AKL. This will be our first spit stay and I am a bit nervous about the moves though. We have bought a package 1 time but for the most part are able to save money by buying each part separately. Have fun planning!
