New scrapper here...this is probably kind of a dumb question...when you do your layouts, do you always make them 2 pages? If you do a 1 page layout, then do you try to coordinate what will be on the facing page, as far as papers, colors, etc. I'm just imagining that if you do 2 separate 1 page layouts and they are facing each other, it might not look that great if they are not kind of coordinated in some way.

It's really up to you on how you want or need your pages to look. My self...I feel the need to do two page spreads...(I'd say atleast 98% of the time)... if I happen to have just a one page layout...I'll either coordinate the two pages so they blend well....OR I'll use one whole page for journaling. But again...that's just my scrapping style. And as you can tell from layouts...everyone has their own unique style....so it's really up to you on how you want your albums.

I am the complete opposite to Jill, 98% of my layouts are 1 page!! I don't think they look bad in the album opposite something uncoordinated but that's just me. As with most scrapping stuff, it's all down to personal preference.

I usually do 2 page layouts, but, IMHO I think the more variety between pages the more individual they look. You can't go wrong I don't think

I also am a 2 page LO type of gal, but I am trying to do more one page LO for the sake of getting more events scrapped and to branch out my styles more. When I do a 1 page, I usually don't cooridinate with the facing LO in my books, I like having a good variety in my albums. To me scrapbooks are an artisitc outlet for my personality. Find what works best for you and your style and you will be happy with the results.

I usually do a 2 page L/O simply b/c I have so many pictures! :hyper: But when I have a 1 page L/O I usually do whatever I feel like. It's kinda nice to do 2 pages so I can do something different. As others have stated, it's your
album, do what you're most comfortable with and what you like.
"It's ALL good!!"

I'd been working only with one page layouts but joined a circle journal where the requirement was a two page spread. Talk about motivation to experiment!

I still like to work with single page layouts because of the ease and cost savings. No more trying to make sure that I have two pages of matching base paper. No spacing everything out over two pages. No worrying about not having enough pictures.

Now though, enough pictures isn't the problem. Too many! With my Disney scrapping, I'm starting to contemplate four page layouts. Fold-out pages maybe...

I usually try to do two page lo ... but on the off chance I don't, the page facing HAS TO COORDINATE! It would just drive me CRAZY!!! :scared1: But ... that's just me!

OH NO!!! They took my cheerleader smiley off the main smiley page!!! :cheer2:

Thanks for all the feedback. I think this is how I am going to be with my pages also...I'm a little too Monkish for the pages to be totally different!

I'm the same way too. 2 page layouts with lots of pictures and they must coordinate. But my whole album doesn't . I know I see some books that have the same colors thru the whole book and I just couldn't do that. I love color and a different look everytime you turn the page!

I do both... depending on the # of photos, embellishments, journalling, etc. I don't care if the facing page matches. My books are all out of order anyway. I scrap whatever inspires me, in no particular order... But I haven't been scrapping long enough to have a ton of pages.

I would drive myself crazy if I tried to coordinate all my 1 page LOs with the facing page. For me, that would limit me too much as to what I could do on certain pages. I just keep saying to myself, "It doesn't matter if these two pages don't match... It doesn't matter if these two pages don't match... It doesn't matter if these two pages don't match..." Eventually, I'll start to believe it!
