i am going to orlando in August with my wife and 2 kids ages 7 and 4. I am not sure if we need the 2 day pass because there are alot of things that the kids cant do in either park. we will be taking advantage of the baby swap on some things that the adults want to do. Is 1 day suffiecient to see everything we need in both parks or do i still need 2 days. thatnk you.

Definitely two days. The kids' areas in both parks will entertain your kids for hours. (Be sure to see a Barney Show at US.) You'll want to make sure you have plenty of time to do the things you want to do too. Have fun!

You won't be able to "hop" between parks with a 1-day pass. You would have to choose a park. With a 2-day pass, you will be able to go between the parks and visit the areas that appeal to younger children in both.

The unused day on your 2-day passes will not expire. You can save it for another visit to Orlando. We did that years ago when IOA first opened. I purchased 3-day passes and used 2 of them on that trip. Two years later, we went back to Orlando and used the remaining day. By then DD was "adult" age but was able to use the child's ticket that she'd used 2 years prior with no problems.

How tall is you 4yo?

I went last month with my 4yo (42") and he was able to do everything in Universal Studios and everything except the big coasters (Hulk and Dueling Dragons) Ripsaw Falls and Dr Doom in Islands of Adventure. We spent a full day in each park, even though we'd been last April and knew we'd be going back again next month. Last April my then 3yo was a little more restricted on the rides since he was barely 40"--he couldn't do Men in Black in Universal Studios and Jurassic Park and the Popeye Bilge Barge rides in IoA. This last trip the Popeye ride was his favorite in all of Universal and WDW.

There are so many more things for a child to do rather than not do, especially if they are at least 40" tall.
