We are arriving a day early before checking in to akv for our real vacation. There will be four adults and we will be renting a car for the day. We're looking to stay someplace nice, with a great deal. We were thinking about a two bedroom deal possibly?? Any ideas? We'd also like to be somewhat close to either orlando airport or right outside wdw. Our plan is to go grocery shopping the morning of our akv check in.

thanks!!! :yay:

Bump!

We're doing the same thing, for the 1st time, on our next trip. Looking for info on decent hotel with great rates for just 1 night.

We booked Caribe Cove in Kissimmee. They have 2 and 3 bedroom units with a full kitchen. Our room is $89 for that one night. Not too bad! And the pictures look amazing. Try that one! By the way...found that rate on Expedia, but if you google Caribe Cove you will see a lot more pictures of the resort that way!

We're going to do the same thing and tack one on at the end somewhere. Hopefully we get some more ideas.

on hotwire for 49$ you can have a condo with one bedroom near disneyworld recommanded by 85%

guess this isn't really in your category, but the motel 6 east gate has really reasonalbe rooms. with the motel coupons in the "room saver" books, we booked for $23 a night,. small rooms, but clean. small pool, but across the street from "old town" and many fast food restaurants and other buffets within walking distance. for one night, what the heck?

We are taking advantage of our early arrival and driving to Cocoa Beach & spending the night there. We'll spend the next day at the beach & drive to the hotel in Disney in the afternoon. It is only a 1hr drive from MCO

The rates are very reasonable from $50 + and you can check any hotel on www.tripadvisor.com

I don't know when your trip is, but Travelzoo is showing a 2 BR at The Fountains for $99/night through 10/22.

We stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club Seaworld earlier in the month. Our room was absolutely super - far better quality fittings than we found in BLT (sadly...).

You're about 5-10 mins drive from the Winn Dixie, a few minutes more and you're at the far end of Hotel Plaza in Downtown Disney.

Hilton is showing pre-pay rates of $100 for a 1br with sofabed in the living room, $170 for a 2br.

If any of you have Marriott Rewards points, book a night at the Marriott World Center. We received a newly refurbished room in the east tower.

At check-in, I asked if we could have a room high up with a view of EPCOT so that we could watch Illuminations. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when we went into the room and not only did it have an EPCOT view but an entire WDW view with a view of the Marriott pool. The room was amazingly plush too.

I'm not sure what the cost is without using points.

The other thing we've done is bid for a room on priceline. We have stayed for one night at the airport Hilton which was fantastic and we have stayed at the airport Hyatt--couldn't beat the nice location for a late night flight.

Good luck! I hope you find something nice and cheap.

We are doing the same in Nov/Dec. We are staying at the embassy suites Lake Buena Vista the first night. Mostly because of the indoor/outdoor pool...so the kids can swim either way. Also...they have a managers' reception at night for 2 hours and they give you coupons for free drinks... and they include a great breakfast the next morning. Kind of helps with the price of things.

We normally book a DTD hotel, there are several. This yr we booked Best Western DTD, last yr it was Orlando Vista (its yellow and colorful with a big pineapple on the side) and yr before (2008) we stayed at Comfort Inn LBV.

Anyone know anything about the Regal Sun at DTD? They were doing a really good rate for the first of Dec. when we're going.

I got a room for one night at the Days Inn Kissimmee-Orlando-Maingate for $34.95. It is just off of property and is literally across the street from a Publix. We had three adults in the room and could have made 4 work for a night.
