We are leaving this weekend for a much delayed and highly anticipated 11 days at WDW. We are a family of 6 (dh, dw, ds, dd, ds, dd) that will be together for a 9 hour drive prior to the 11 days at WDW. My dw has finally agreed that we need to get out for at least 1 night while we are there. She doesn't like to exclude the kids from the plans.

I need help with an idea for the evening for the 2 of us. Romance, fun, dining...any idea will work.

What are some of the 1 evening plans you have done that were memorable?

Thanks!

Of course high end would be Victoria and Albert's! That would be an evening all to itself. You wouldn't need to plan anything beyond that.

At GF, Citrico's is also a very nice meal and atmosphere. I'm sure that others could probably provide quite a bit more info on romantic dining. I usually go solo. Not that I wouldn't appreciate the opportunity for a romantic dinner with someone!! I've found Flying Fish at Boardwalk to be very good. Of course there are many great selections at Epcot World Showcase but usually more crowded in my opinion.

What about Cirque du Soleil? Very entertaining evening and maybe a simpler meal at DD before or after - say Wolfgang Puck, Bongo's, etc.

As many times as I've been to WDW and PI, I've just recently discovered The Adventurer's Club. I really enjoyed it. Fun all around you. Good for several hours of laughter but some time for just the two of you to talk between "acts". This is drinks and entertainment only, no dinner. There are many other types of entertainment at PI as well to fit all tastes.

Just a few ideas. I'm sure there are many more out there too.

I agree with BobBrazeal on the PI Adventurer's Club and Cirque du Soleil. They are both a lot of fun.

I would also suggest the Winemakers Dinner at Epcot Food and Wine Festival. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

If you like a quiet evening, just stroll around Epcot for the last weekend of the Food & Wine festival, and take in the fireworks at 9:00 PM. If you still have any energy left, try Boardwalk for late night snacks and entertainment. Boardwalk also has Jellyrolls (not a food) and Atlantic Dance hall.

I almost forgot this one!

At Disney-MGM Studios the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights will be starting Nov 21. I think it will have an earlier "soft" start. If you are here for 11 days, then you probably have an annual pass, and can go to the annual passholders preview on Saturday Nov 17 beginning 6:15 PM.

I've always found walking though Holiday lights with my DW to be very romantic. You can't go wrong here; they will have over 5 million lights! Combine this with a dinner at Mama Melrose for a great romantic evening. (Don't forget the 1/2 carafe of sangria at Mama Melrose; I highly recommended it.)

If you go to PI, make sure you also go to Comedy Warehouse--it is great. Personally, I think it is the best club at PI. I like Adventurers Club but I love the Comedy Warehouse! Even with their recent changes in CMs (unfortunately, moving/changing some great CMs) it is still a great time!
