I know this has been brought up before ....but it the Romantic Escape package worth the $$$? Any pics out there ?? What does the Turn Down Service and Bfast in bed include??
:scratchin

We did it last sept and are doing it again in a few weeks. We loved it. Last year of course the package was different but we are more excited about this years package. We loved the rainforest room as well as dinner at palo. Plus it's nice to have a full pick of any times for palo, spa, and excurions. I know several people on my cruise that didn't get palo ressies at 90 or 75 days out.

The breakfast is whenever you want it to be. They give you a door hanger that has to be out by I think 2am the morning before you would like it. We had so much food. The menu is like the one that cat. 1-3 get with hot food on it. The regular menu for room service breakfast is continental (muffins, etc).

here's links to our romantic turndown last year:

hope that helps some.

My DH thought that this package might be nice to add to the cruise. But I have been adding it up and trying to decide if it is worth it. Can you buy the same robes in the spa or in one of the shops on board? If so, does anyone recall how much they are? I would love to have one. They look like the robes at the Grand Californian at DL. They were so comfortable, without being too heavy. I lived in mine, while I was in the room that is.

Okay, just so you know, my husband calls me the "Justification Queen", if I want it bad enough....I can find a way to justify it! :thumbsup2

I know some of you may not agree....but if you are looking for alittle help in making a decision on this one....follow me :rolleyes:

1. Romantic Escape Gift Basket $75 :love:
(robes, basket, frame and chocolates)
2. Picture Voucher $20 :artist:
3. Dinner for 2 at Palo $20 :lovestruc
4. Premium bottle Wine or
Champagne at Palo $50 :drinking1
5. Tropical Rainforest Pass
for 2, length of cruise $100 :blush:
(I guessed rate for this one..)
6. Romantic Turndown Service $0 :cloud9:
(with 2 kids in the room...no monetary value here for me!!)
7. Romantic Breakfast in Bed $15 :love2:
(cost is for 2 glasses champagne....)

Cost of items: $280
Cost of Pkg: $339
Difference: $59

How I justify the difference....it is worth $59 to me #1 to have the goodies there when we arrive....#2 For the pamperering...I am turning the big 40 on the cruise you know!...#3 To be able to make my ressies 105 days out...I will be away at the 75 day mark without access to a computer!

Justification......$PRICELESS!!

tjeagle, you seem to be doing the same thing I am, trying to justify doing it. You can add another $50 to the total if you are taking a 7-day cruise. In PassPorter's Field Guide the Tropical Rainforest Room is $75 per person for a week. That would be $150 for two.

Let's See:
* Romantic Escape Gift Basket - $75
* 8x10 Picture - $20
* Dinner at Palo - $20
* Wine or Champaign - $50 (I agree at least $50, anyone know different?)
* Tropical Rainforest Passes - $150
* Turndown Service - $0 (We will use this. No kids.)
* Breakfast in Bed - $15 (?)
* Ability to make reservations at Palo and Spa 105 days out - $0

Total: $330
Freebies (Turndown & Reservations): Priceless :)

I guess I have made my decision!

Eva, thanks for your addition!

The only thing better than a purchase justification.....are friends that help you justify!!

Now I just need to call my TA and add it to my package!!
