1 more AP upgrade question

If you upgrade on a blackout day can you still get in that day? In other words if I use my 3 day ticket to get in that morning then once I am IN the park go and upgrade can I then leave and come back in or would I be stuck for the rest of the day? And also would my benefits then work that day like dinning discounts?

When you upgrade, ask them for an exception pass. It's a print out that you'll have to show at the turnstile. The actual AP will then work for FP and discounts.

Yes. If you use the ticket that day they will then let you use your AP that day. They give you a printed "Blockout pass". We didn't even have to ask for it when we did this 3 years ago. And the benefits work too.

Great that is what I was hoping. When we bought our tickets we weren't even thinking about needing tickets again for our Feb trip but someone recommended getting the AP and since we are going to upgrade my mom wanted to do it on our first day which is NOT a blackout day but the next day IS so I told her we can't do it till either after we get in on Saturday or maybe not till Sunday. But I am glad to hear we can use it on Sat cuz that will def help.
