That's how #$%@ long it takes to put on a new battery at my car dealership. They were kind enough not to charge me for the labor though.

I'm not a very patient waiter (major understatement!). I'm glad I was born a woman, I don't see how you men can stand waiting around on us!

That's what I told them, then they decided to get the ball rolling. After I told them that, it was installed and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes.

Thats Quick......here in Miami, it would take THAT long for SOMEONE to NOTICE you! Another 2 hours for the Battery!:o

Kind of in their defense, depending on what kind of car you have, it isn't as easy as it looks.

Most Volkswagons are very packed and hard to even swap out the battery.

What kind of car do you have?

It only takes me like 1/2 hour and they have that darn battery bolted down where the bolt is real hard to get to...One of the few things I can do myself...:o

It's a Nissan Frontier Crewcab. My SO had to put the battery off of his geo yesterday so I could go get my battery today. It took him less than 5 minutes. There's only, I think, 2 bolts to loosen. Believe me, I'm not mechanical, I could've done it in less than 10. The battery is up front, almost by itself. My truck stayed in the same spot for over an hour and a half. It's a wait in line type of deal-first come first serve. 5 trucks/cars got serviced while my truck sat there. My SO told me he'd rather I didn't change out the battery myself, to let them do it (he was afraid I'd drop the battery and hurt the truck, I think;) ).

Faith, I made sure they noticed me pacing.:p

you've had to replace the battery already??
How old is this thing???;)
I didn't realize it was on your truck...
you said CAR dealership..

If it's not a make an appointment type deal, then you should expect to wait for the first come people to be served first.

Reread what I wrote. 5 people that came AFTER me were serviced before my truck was. It's a first come first serve deal. I got bumped.

JTB, what charm?:p

Sorry, I didn't see the word "AFTER" in your first message. I still don't, but I'll take your word for it.

Yeah, you didn't say they came after you. That's a different story, unless they had appointments.

It says it right there!! people read things different ways, if shannon says she got bumped by 5 cars/trucks i believe her. why are you all jumping down her throat?

Not jumping. I just don't see that it's specified that those other cars/trucks weren't there first. :p
