I am travelling with a group, but since we are off site and I have to exchange my tix I think we are low in the pecking order for fastpass plus.

Dilemma....

my daughter and I want to ride Space Mountain, I'm sure my mom will watch my 4 year old who isn't tall enough, but then if I only book 2 fastpasses. one my my daughter and one for myself, can I book something for my 4 year old that he would like Buzz? Would they require a fastpass for me to ride it since I know he isn't allowed to ride on his own, but I feel a bit stuck that this is going to come up a LOT. I will want Fp for Space Mountain, Rock and Roll, Everest and Tower of Terror for my daughter and I and I feel bad that he won't be able to have fp for his preferred rides especially when it is a wasted FP since I could book Space Mountain for him, but he can't ride anyway!

Any thoughts?

What about your mom? Can you book a FP for Buzz for him and your mom?

You would be required to have a FP+ as well. You could book FP+ for your son and mom, that way he'd be able to ride things suitable to his likes/age.

What you can do instead is get a rider switch pass to ride the height restricted rides that your son is too short to ride.

What we usually do for our family of four is make a FP+ for one parent and older child for thrill ride, aka space mountain, and one FP+ for the other parent and younger child for a mild ride, aka speedway.

Or, depending on your daughter's age, she can ride some of those things alone so you can do a FP with your son. My 10 year old LOVES riding alone and begs to go alone or in the single rider line as much as possible. It's a chance to talk to new people! Lol.

Another great benefit of the new system. I understand your pain. We are having some of the same problems. Hope you are able to get it worked out.

Unfortunately the whole rest of my group will get their own Fastpasses early since they will be going together and booking much earlier than I can, they are on site and we are off. Of course, they would be happy to take him if it matches a time they can, but the other group will be booking all together, I have to try to add on last minute and it sounds like that will not be likely to happen and I can't assume they would change any of their plans to match the scraps that are leftover for us, that was the whole point for them to stay on site so unfair to think that.

For example, we will go to the parks together and do rope drop, but they booked Be Our Guest for their lunch, we will have lunch somewhere else and have to meet up afterwards. Same goes for the rides, they will book what works best for them and they are willing to watch if the wait isn't long, but unfortunately it doesn't work so well. I wonder if the CM"s may be more flexible if my son has a FP for Buzz and they have one also, but if the times don't match perfectly.

I will get a list of what they have already reserved and try to match as best I can, but the planning is a bit difficult. It seems weird to go to the same place, but we can't go together easily unless we do the stand by line.

I may consider letting my daughter go on her own if we get her a phone this summer, not sure I would want to or not. It would be her first time, I think she's love it, just not sure about me. I guess if she went on her own, the upside is that I could do baby swap. Then, I would do my swap whenever my parents can watch the kiddos. Is the ride swap for an exact hour after the original ride?

Hmmmm.... lots to consider.

Are you all linked in MDE? If so, just copy their FP+ selections to you and your kids when your booking window opens. Then change things as needed. If you do this right at 30 days I don't think you'll have a problem.

For example, if they have a Buzz FP+, just change your and your daughter's to Space and leave your son's alone. Then he can ride with the other group and you can ride Space.

I don't think I can get MDE. Not really sure and was waiting until it was 30 days out since I knew I couldn't do anything yet.

I have old tickets without the RFID so need to exchange them when I get there. I can't exchange beforehand can I? I am staying off site so know I have the 30 day window instead of their 60 day and I am not visiting until end of May.

I need to research if I can exchange tix and get my ressies set up maybe the day before at least. I am visiting my relatives at Wilderness Lodge for dinner one night, then going to Blizzard Beach and then going to visit the other parks afterwards. Hoping to see if the people at Wilderness Lodge can help me or maybe at Blizzard Beach. I had heard I can't book unless I am at the exact park for the day.

I am still researching the whole thing.

Another thought I had was to do single riders with my 11 year old and I close to rope drop at Everest and Test Track so at least those parks I can pick 3 things we can ride together.

I don't think there ae any single riders in MK. Anyone know?
