15 hours from start to finish... my DH and I took our grand-daughter on a quick 1 day trip to the Magic Kingdom on July 16. I know it's too much for 1 day, but we had a chance to go at the last minute, so we took it. We'll do it right ( a week vacation with the whole family next year, I promise!!).
This was her first time - she is 4, so I wanted to make it very special. I called about 2 weeks ahead and got PS at the Crystal Palace for lunch with Pooh and friends. She loves Tigger and Piglet, so she was thrilled she would be having lunch with them.
Our day started (with a stroller, thanks to the notices on this board:) and we headed straight for Winnie the Pooh ride (had about a 7 minute wait, then onto Dumbo. When we finished there, Toontown was now open and we were off to see the Princesses. This was our grand-daughter's major objective - meeting characters: We walked right in to the Hall of Fame and her very first character meeting was .... Cinderella. She quickly got into the handing autograph book thing and getting her pictures made with Cinderella, Suzy and Perla.
After meeting a few characters, we hopped on Goofy's Barnstormer(with only a slight wait in line) - she loved this roller coaster and would ask to ride in several more times that day! ( we made it back once more for her)
We saw Cinderella's Gala Surprise show at the Castle, and lunch with Pooh was Awesome! Oh - and about all the post that describe how wonderful the food is there... BELIEVE IT!!!
She made it to see Mickey, back at Toontown, late in the afternoon with, again - very little wait. This is July and it's hot, but the crowds today are definitely bearable. Then we went back to the Hall of Fame and she met her FAVORITE PRINCESS of all - Sleeping Beauty. Ok - she was totally satisfied now.
We finally found the crowds tho, when we took her on Thunder Mountain - that was a very hot and long hour wait. But to see the smile on her face and hear her say , " That's fun!! " as we rounded every curve, made it all worthwhile!
We ended the day by standing on the bridge to Tomorrowland and watching Tinkerbell fly - another highlight of her day.
Whew - I'm tired just thinking about it - but we've got beautiful Disney memories to last a lifetime .... and atleast until next year, when we can really show her the WHOLE Disney world

Hi  Welcome to the Dis!
There's nothing more exciting than a child's first trip to Disney. I'm so glad she got to see the "important" people and enjoyed riding some rides too. Thanks for sharing.
