1 day trip report Dec 12 normally we go to WDW

DH and I drove up from Sea world the night before, no kid trip. Stayed at super 8 would not stay at that one again. I did not even want to leave the rental car there. So we drove it to Mickey and friend garage. Got To the park at 8:15am, park opened 8 am. Grabbed map and times guide.

Off to Hanted mansion, did that pirates of Caribbean and jingle cruise walk on. DH Got fast passes for Indian Jones, when I went and rode Thunder Railrode, 5 minute wait. When we went to ride Indian jones It broke down twice and it took 55 minutes it ride it!
Park was getting busy then. Grabbed dole whip, cream cheese pretzel and chili cheese dog to share for lunch. Shared our table with 2 teenagers. Discovered blue bayou restaurant during the Pirates ride and would of loved to eat there, but no reservations available.

Off to tomorrow land, got FP for buzz light year. Met chewy and darth vader. Rode buzz, someone handed DH a FP so he rode buzz again. I went and rode space mountain and got FP for it. The wait time was posted 60, it was really 45. Got out and caught the rest of the 1:30pm parade.

Went and got a drink and people watched a bit, I was taking a break cause I was at that point thinking I might stay till closing, 12:00. Off to the Bob sled ride, who knew it has a single, rider line, ah well DH and I chatted with other families in line. Wandered over to it is a small world wait time was 45 and on accident found a live show over there. There was a quick service over there and you could purchase food and take it into the show, we got a yummy loaded potato. I had asked a CM during the Indian jones breakdown if there were any shows in the park and they said no.

Fantasy land was packed, luckily we did not want to ride anything over there. Wandered frontier land. Back to Adventure land. Got FP for haunted Mansion they were for 2.5 hrs later. So waited in line for pirates wait time was posted 30 minutes and it was correct. I went over to rode space M by myself and gave away DH FP for it. Went back to DH and rode jingle cruise again wait time was posted 30 minutes and it was correct. I was ready to go and that point.

We wander down to Main Street got fudge and toffee, talked to our kids that we had left at home. It was 15 minutes to our haunted mansion time so we went back. Then we wandered down Main Street shopping, bought stale popcorn. And got stitch ears. Saw Mickey and Minnie on the way out before the fireworks.

The crowd was thickening at 10am. And was super busy the rest of the day. Really was glad to be there for opening. Security check was fairly fast, buying tickets at the window too was fairly fast. DH does not ride rough rides. I would of liked to ride 2 rides at CA but DH would not of rode either so I was not willing to pay for hoppers. I noticed around 6:30 the FP machines were covered for buzz light year. I was looking to trade pins for stitch pins but when I would pop into a stores I only found 3 CM with lanyards. I did trade with one maintenance person.

I found out about a product called Sea Bands that helps for motion sickness, you wear them, they worked great. I normally take equate motion sickness tablets a couple times a day. Wore them on the plane trip home too, love them

I was looking to trade pins for stitch pins but when I would pop into a stores I only found 3 CM with lanyards. I did trade with one maintenance person.

Sounds like a good day! Lots of rides and not too many hiccups.

We've noticed that during December there aren't many castmembers wearing pin lanyards. I think it's because the parks are busy so Disney wants castmembers helping guests/answering questions/directing traffic instead. On the other hand we saw more pinboards in stores.
