1 DAY to HIT the HIGHLIGHTS in BOTH PARKS - HOW WOULD YOU DO IT??

We've been to both IOA and US before and have some obvious favorites we want to enjoy again (Spidey, Hulk, Popeye, etc at IOA; MIB, T3D, B to the F at US). Haven't seen Shrek or the Mummy yet, and can't wait.

But we have only one day. We'll get the 2 parks pass, but I don't want to pay for the front of the line feature. We'll be there in mid April on a Friday.

So, how would you map this out? Which park first? Which rides first to avoid a few lines? Any strategy hints?

My plan will involve ping ponging back and forth, but it can work.
Since you've never done Shrek or the Mummy, you do those first.
Arrive the parking garage at 8am and be first in line at the gate.
Go to Shrek first and watch it. Then go to the Mummy, there won't be a wait this early in the morning. You can ride it a few times.
Now head out of USF and go to IOA. Take a lap doing Hulk, SM, Dr Doom, and continue going clockwise around the park.
Now it's about 11am and the crowd will be arriving. Eat an early lunch, then head back to USF to do MIB (single rider) and the other attractions. The wife and I have done this plan and it works. The major crowds arrive at 11am.
