1 day ticket...when to add hopper

Hello! I already purchased a 1 day ticket (epcot/dhs cat) we booked our fp for dhs which will be our second park that day. We would then like to head over to MK for a third park which is open until 1 am...

so... 1)should we add the park hopper option before we scan our 1 day ticket at the epcot gate that morning? or should we do it the day before at our hotel desk?

2) if I am using the ticket at MK later that day do I have to bridge the 1 day ticket price or is it just the price of the "hopper option"?

1. I don't think it really matters when you add the park hopper.

2. Bridging only comes into play when you have a discounted ticket, and since there aren't any discounts available on one day tickets, it's not an issue in your case.

The hopper option is priced in such a way that it includes Magic Kingdom on the one-day ticket.

I'd recommend you upgrade beforehand, since you're planning to hit three parks. If you only intended to visit one park, with the possibility of a second, I'd wait. But if three is your plan, I wouldn't want to waste time at a ticket booth that day.

Ticket booths is the fastest way to upgrade as your behind someone with ticket problems. This can be a challenge at MK if your not going through the TTC as the ticket booths are not next to the entrance. But in other parks they are extremely convenient and usually no lines after the morning rush is over (which you'll be in mk during).

My advice, if your waiting around at rope drop for MK to open, get in the guest relation line outside the park and take care of it right away. If your passing through TTC to get to magic kingdom, hit a ticket booth if there is no or almost no line. Otherwise just hit a ticket booth when you get to the first part you need the hopper.. Also if there is any chance you end up not hopping (weather, or something unexpected) you didn't spend the money.

And last, if you have a friend with an AP, right now there is a deal that they can buy one day hopper tickets for $79 so have them meet you at the ticket booth or bring them along for the day.
