1 day pass good for both parks or no?

We are interested in going to IOA (been there before) but my son also wants to check out a new coaster at Universal. We only have 1 day can he go back and forth between the two parks or no?

They have base tickets and multi park tickets. If you want to visit both parks in one day, then you will have to purchase the more expensive multi-park ticket.

Universal sells both a 1-day 1-park ticket and a 1-day 2-park ticket. If you want to go to both parks on one day, you need to buy the 1-day 2-park ticket. Obviously, it is the more expensive ticket. I think Universal is selling a 2-day ticket for slightly more than a 1-day ticket. If you can go on 2 days, this may be the cheaper option. And no, there are no super cheap 1-day tickets sold by anyone anywhere.

if you buy the 1 day 1 park ticket, you can upgrade to the 1 day park to park ticket at guest services.

you pay the difference of that one park ticket to two park ticket price of that day.


do ioa and if your son says he really wants to hit the studios, upgrade then.

Thank you so much! I have no desire to do universal again this trip, but it may be a good option for my son. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare day as Disney is taking up my other days so giving my son the option to upgrade if he decides to when we are there is a good option. Thanks again!

So now that I see transformers is coming to Universal this summer, we may all want to go to Universal and not just my son. My options are:

- buy the 2 park 1 day
- 1 1/2 days at both parks Friday last full day we are in Florida and Saturday 1/2 day and get a late flight out (is this even crazy to do??? we are staying at disney resort)

EDITED TO ADD: I COULD PROBABLY do AK at disney on day of departure (more practical than trying to do a universal park on last day and get late flight out of Florida and then devote two full days to IOA and USF if I had to.

We've been to both IOA and USF before so we wouldn't be doing all the rides again. Can the rides below be done on one day or should I try and squeeze a 2nd day and save AK for departure day?

- Dragon challenge (hubby and son did it when it was called dueling dragons) they will want to ride it again
- spiderman
- hulk
- jurassic park

USF
-ripride coaster

Yeah, I love questions like this. They must think the crowds on July 4th will be the same as February 26.

Going in August, convinced Hubby to stay another day so we will do universal one day and IOA the second day.

We've done men in black before and will do again if my son wants to or if not too crowded.
