We've only got one day at universal but I'm not sure what would be more bang for my buck, to get a two park pass but no front of the line or a one park pass with front of the line. Anyone have an thoughts/ suggestions? Trying to figure out if two parks in one day is too ambitious and if the lines will kill us seeing as we won't have front of the line access, also if we'll feel like we didn't see enough is we only do one park. Help!

when are you going?

weekends can be crowded and can be difficult to do both parks on one day, especially during summer and holiday weekends.

Diagon Alley opens this summer and if you want to ride the Hogwarts Express you will need a park to park ticket. The current Harry Potter ride cannot be accessed with the Universal Express Pass and I suspect that the new ones will not have it either.

agree...A park to park ticket will be required to ride and likely no express pass for it or Gringotts

Is this true for when you stay on universal property and get the front of the line as well, or does it only go for purchasing the actually front of the line access?

technically, front of the line is only for the WISH families.
hotel guests receive the perk of free express line usage which is unlimited.
it can have waits depending on ride and date/time you are using that line.
but will be much shorter than the regular ride/show lines.
TM's will tell you your waits can be up to 20 minutes.
last year DE wait for me was at 30 minutes which is a rarity.

anyone offsite can purchase the unlimited usage of the express pass or the basic express pass.

Guests at Universal DELUXE resorts receive the express pass as a perk.Guests at the moderate resort, Cabana Bay, do not

Is Harry potter always exempted from front of the line?

The two rethemed rides in the WWoHP - Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff offer ep lines, but not the new ride- Forbidden Journey, or the Ollivanders wand show.
