1-day MYW package ticket question

Can somebody confirm that I can or cannot do this? We are going down in September to take advantage of the free dining package. Since we already have annual passes, I booked the package with 1 day tickets. I understand these tickets will be on our room key cards with our names on them.

In December, my brother/sister in law will be visiting WDW one day after a cruise. Can they use our one day tickets then? Do they check the names on the key cards?

Has anyone done this?

You can save them but I'm pretty sure they can only be used by the person whose name is on the card.

IF the room key/ticket is working properly, they will be able to use it, because they'll simply put it through the reader in the entrance gate, put two fingers in the biometric reader, and proceed. However, if the card doesn't work right for some reason (i.e. gets demagnetized, which happens easily), they'll be stopped and would have to show ID.

another similar question. . . .
I did the same thing, bought a package with only singe base tickets cause I am an annual passer.
But I was wondering if when you check in you can request seperate physical tickets instead of putting them on the card?
