Hi,

My family is planning a central Florida (mostly no-parks) road trip the week beginning Easter 2016. I realize this is one of the busiest weeks of the year, but the school administrators, in their infinite wisdom, thought it best again this year to have spring break the week of Easter. We can't avoid it.

I can get 2 nights at the Swan, and we'd like to have our resort day on Thurs. and spend the whole day in Epcot on Friday (4/1).

What kind of results can we expect using easywdw's touring strategy that week? Of course, crowds are a 9 on their scale. Epcot is his recommended park. I'm not sure that my kids are brave enough for Test Track and Soarin, so our FPs may be freed up for other use. Will we be successful with his Epcot strategy for a holiday week? We'd likely be at rope drop at the WS entrance, but my kids move pretty slowly through the parks.

(By comparison, TP's scale predicts an 8 for Epcot and an 8 resort-wide. We toured MK Fantasyland, afternoon parade, MSEP and Wishes on an "8" day in August 2015. We were good until lunch when heat became the major issue).

I know the general advice - avoid holiday week, get there early, stay on-site, eat off-times, have a plan and use it and expect major crowds. Just need more specific advice for Epcot at Easter. Thanks!!!

The cheat sheets at easywdw.com are fantastic. I always base my touring plans on them and rarely wait more than 20 minutes for anything - even when it's very busy.

Thanks! How did I forget about the cheat sheet? I was looking at the calendar.

We based our Spring Break touring off of those Cheat Sheets. We did everything we wanted to do in Future World and were headed to World Showcase by noon! This was the week before Easter this year. Definitely recommend easywdw!

How bad are the crowds at Epcot at this time? Does anyone have any pictures? We are doing the exact same thing and going to Epcot on 4/1. We've got reservations at Biergarten at 12:00 for lunch, but would like to just do counter service for dinner. Is this impossible during this time? We'd like to have something from England or French bakery. Any advice?

We were at WDW in April for Easter week this year. We were there the Wednesday before Easter through the Friday after Easter. We never use touring plans or crowed calendars.

It took A LOT of planning, but we had a fabulous time and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to WDW for Easter in the future. Maybe we were just expecting the absolute worst, or maybe we just aren't has high maintenance as others, I don't know.

We committed to doing 7am morning EMH every other day. We were able to get SO much done in those morning hours before the crowds arrived around lunch time. We also used this to free up fast passes. We committed to going for 7am rope drop to ride some bigger rides so that freed up our FPs for other things. Our youngest two were only 4 and 2.5, so we never stayed for the late EMH. Those are usually more crowded anyways.

We spent more time at Epcot than we normally do. We spent time checking out the Flower and Garden displays, including the two playgrounds for the kiddos. DH and I enjoyed trying the food and drink stations throughout world showcase as well. We did Epcot on two different days and, at most, there were maybe 2 people ahead of us in line for food/drinks. Nothing like Food and Wine.
