We are very much Disney people but have decided to taka a one day venture over to IOA. I wonder is this enough time? We will be there the second week in June. Thanks

1 day is enough for all age groups. The park itself is not that big to walk around. Early entry for IOA is on Mon & Wed so I'd avoid those days since they won't apply to you with 1 day tix. Arrive at the opening time, which I think is 9. Use the express pass system. Read these boards, study the park's lay out on their website, & read about the attractions so that you can plan your day. I'm not sure when school is out in in June in FLA but I'd avoid the weekends anyway, especially Sat. Try Tues or Thurs., maybe even Fri. Good luck. Have fun.

we have a day before hitting other parks and i am dying to go to IOA and Universal. i was thinking that i would buy a 2 day pass to be able to use the ride reservation system more and to be able to go to both parks. i was hoping that we could hop back and forth between the two parks. unfortunately, we will be there on a saturday and will arrive around 2:30 (and stay until closing). is this a complete waste of time and money since the parks will be so crowded?

any advice is greatly appreciated!

You want to try to do both parks in a half a day?

If I understand you correctly, then my answer is no way. I really don't think it's possible.

We arrived at IOA at around 2:00 and never got to see it all, let alone go to the other park.

You could definitely see the highlights of one park in one day but not both parks.

The only possible way I think you MIGHT be able to do that is if you are staying onsite at either HRH or PFH and can use the "Front of the Line" feature for guests only.

We are going for two days with the 2-day 2 park passes and the "Front of the Line" perk for staying at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Good luck!

To 8thdwarf, you could see IOA in a day with a 1 day ticket. Just get there before the gate opens at 9am and you'll get on all the rides. Then the park fills up with 1 hour waits. An hour before closing you can get on all the rides again.
To mlm228, no way. You can't physically see both parks in 6 hours. The Express machines sell out by noon. They shut down with a message that says, "No Future Passes are Available for this attraction." So buying the 2 day pass does you no good. If you bought a 1 day ticket, and entered IOA around 02:30pm like you said, the wait times for the big attractions will be 1 hour. But as the sun goes down and the field trip busses leave, you can get a few rides. Even then, you won't see everything at IOA, it's physically impossible to do all the rides in a few hours on a Saturday. Get the 1 day ticket, enter the park, and go all the way to the back and ride Deuling Dragons. Then go on Jurassic Park and by that time the lines may be less at the big rides near the front of the park. But I doubt it. Was just there last week and Spider man had an hour wait at the close, Hulk was 30 minutes. Popeye was a walkon, but you get soaked. Doom Drop was also a walkon. You'll see the park and get a few rides this way, but don't expect much, place is packed.
